Reviews for Chalet et Hotel La Tarine
Review 1:Quite a walk to take the first skilift (10minute walk) The hotel is not situated in the village, so no possibility to apres-ski (since the skilift needed for return to the hotel shuts down at the same time as the other lifts and no possibility to ski back to the hotel)
Review 2:friendly staff Reduction on the rented materials (20%) Reduction on the skipass Good breakfast and dinner Heated room to keep materials at night Clean rooms
Review 3:Before the holiday, the owner was very helpful answering my questions about our stay in the Alps and we can really recommened Chalet et Hotel La Tarine, it was fantastic All the staff were really nice and the breakfasts were delicious too. Only a short walk to the Tele-cabines to get up the hill to the Peisey skiing area.so you can be on the slopes in approx 15 mins. Will definitely go back next winter.
Review 4:Showers occasionally ran cold for a short time. Towels were a bit thin.
Review 5:Breakfasts were plentiful. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely quaint village.

Review 9:Value for money
Review 10:Hostess was amazing - couldn't have done more for us. Clean, comfortable, nice food, good bar, cheap!
Review 11:The wooden Alpine decor in our room
Review 12:The room was not so big, but ok.
Review 13:Good location (200m from Lonzagne elevator which ends at the Vanoise Express). Very friendly personnel.
Review 14:Nothing.
Review 15:We liked the friendly staff and owner. Relaxed atmosphere. Great homely food. Value for money.
Review 16:Really helpful proprietress who allowed us to stay in our room until 7pm on the day of our check out (we wanted to ski all day and we're getting the train back in the evening).
Review 17:I wouldn't have wanted to do the walk with small children every day. Hire up in Peisey Vallandry if you have infants. The wall in our room to next room very thin and I could hear every word of the childrens conversation at times.
Review 18:The staff couldn't have been more helpful in arranging everything for us. The food was good and the rooms had everything you needed.
Review 19:Nothing major: showers a little awkward to use and hot water sometimes a little intermittent at peak times or very early in the morning.
Review 20:Easily reaches it's two-star rating, and should be higher now it has been refurbished. Great staff, most if not all of whom speak English. Very good communication before our stay regarding ski passes and parking in the village. Discount ski passes ordered and waiting for us on arrival. Close to the village shops (supermarket, ski shop, butcher, baker, dairy products shop). Access to ski area is 300m walk then up a lift, which you must also come back down to get to the village. A variety of rooms, we booked a triple and a double for four of us and ended up with beds for eight! Cellar bar is good, with pool table and lounges area adjacent. Very lively until 2am on chalet staff night off. Restaurant food was typical mountain fayre, with continental breakfasts including cereal and boiled eggs.
Review 21:Bathroom very small, shower tiny. But a great Deal for the money.
Review 22:Friendly staff, great location in small village near large ski area. Super skiers breakfast With fresh bread, boiled eggs, ham, cheese etc. Cozy room with balcony.
Review 23:Nice clean small family run hotel set in "real" French village. Good quality home cooked food, with locally sourced ingredients!! Easy reach ski lifts, whether walking or driving. Bedroom cleaned daily. Friendly staff.
