Review 1：Wifi only in the reception/lobby area. The steepness of the walkway up to the hotel. (Pain with heavy suitcases) A little out-dated in the decor etc. but it is more of a mom-pop run place.

Review 2：The pool was great. Friendly staff. Great food in the hotel restaurant. You are only one bus stop away from Mykonos' Old Port, which is beautiful and fun! You can meet Alex himself haha!

When they replied to my inquiry they didn't offer directions. Followed directions on booking.com which were completely wrong and ended up walking 700 metres up an almost vertical hill in the heat.

Good location, 15 mins easy walk to town. 10 mins to port. Nice restaurants nearby. Very clean pool with sun lounges and great views. Restaurant has nice view.

Review 9：Wifi: There was no free wifi unless you were standing at reception. Cleanliness: Our room had broken glass and black hair all over the floor. When we told them the owners argued infront of us, we had to show the cleaner and owner the room and explain why we weren't happy to both of them seperately even as they stood together. They then argued over what new room we should Get. Facilities: When we got to our new room the TV wouldn't work and took three phone calls over a day and a half to get someone to come to the room. The curtains fell off the rail and we had to put these back on ourselves. The staff: the owners were rude and would show an effort each time something was asked, the younger owner was unwilling to help and was very impatient as well as didn't have very good personal hygiene- wore the same outfit three days a row and was with a displeasing odour. They showed no local information and were reluctant to provide any insights to Mykonos other than giving us a map after we asked for it personally. The cleaning staff were friendly. Overall the facilities were outdated and would not recommend to other travelers.

Review 10：We arrived very early in the morning (6am) and were completely unannounced as we could not contact prior to arrival. On arrival they did absolutely everything they could to get us into a room to have some sleep. 1 hour later our room was ready, absolutely spotless and they didn't even charge us extra for early check in! Such friendly helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again!

Review 13：Alex Hotel in Mykonos has been the worst hotel and hospitality experience I've ever had in my life. Did not have hot water, the water from the shower was yellow. First night they gave me a room which had a window on a landing, where there were cats all around, trying to get into my room and didn't have the privacy, since people was passing in front of it. Air conditioning wasn't working properly. Breakfast was awful. The worst thing was the owner which, when I personally complained about all these issues, didn't wanna listen, covered her hears and accused me to be moanful just because I'm young, even though is part of an hospitality business listening and solving complaints of people, moreover if they can improve the service. I was completely shocked from her rudeness and I had to give up on every single problem and to adapt to this unacceptable situation although as a client I paid 100% of the price expecting to receive 100% of the service.

Review 20：The hotel is located on top of a scale which is very inconvenient The staff (except for a young girl who I think the daughter of the owner and the waiter at breakfast who were nice) was disturbing rude In the morning at 8, we have seen a very strong fight by shouting between the owners and the young girl who we assume was her daughter that she even cried all before the eyes of our customers. The hotel would have potential but it's terribly managed and very expensive, poor breakfast.

Review 22：very rude staff ,,, smelly hotel ,, the girl on the reception told us to get from the new port to hotel walking 10 min. We had a baby and bags the road from the port to the hotel was scary with no pavement and we walk at least 30 min. we find at last the hotel up to a mountain and when we go there there was no elevator from downstairs and we had to carry the bags and the baby all throught the stairs... the pool was nice ..very nice view....

Review 23：This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are so incredibly rude, always yelling at each other. They take no responsibility for anything wrong. Poor management, and my first night they made me stay at another place as they had overbooked. It was a dump they sent me too. During the night the power went from my room (not a city blackout) and they blamed that it was my cord that the reason my phone didn't charge, not their power. Because my phone didn't charge my alarm didn't go off and missed a transfer. The lady at the front desk constantly smokes and it is disgusting. Cats roam the property freely. Do not under any circumstances stay at this hotel. It is simply horrible and will ruin your holiday.

Taxi from port pick up and taxis to airport , so very misleading to offer at the price !

Considering the pool was the only reason we picked the hotel, nothing was said to us about it other than looking at it. No cleaning or fixing was done for remainder of the stay. Quite a bit out of town with no taxis on the island walking on windy roads with no paths was a little daunting.

Dispite poor reviews we found the rooms and service to be the standard (if not better) we would expect for lower budget travelling. The pool and views were a bonus, and the breakfast was more than expected. No issues with rudeness as reported elsewere, yes a pleasant surprise.

Had to walk into town and after unsuccessful queue for Taxi, had to walk back to port to catch local bus. 15 minutes walk either way to restaurants, along busy road in the dark. We were only there one night which was a relief. Had to plead for a pick up and drop to the airport. There was meant to me transfers to airport etc but the only driver was elderly owner and we basically had to get a taxi. The wife got very agitated and started shouting when the staff member asked about needing to drop to airport as there was also another guest wanting to do so. Overall not a good experience.

Review 78：in summary: there is nothing about this hotel that will delight you; the rooms are dated, the facilities are feeble, the staff are rubbish and the breakfast is terrible, you'll struggle to find the hotel and then when you do you'll wish you hadn't; when you want to leave, you won't be able - unless you can hike or take your life into your hands flagging down strangers. *rooms are tired and uncomfortable - double room was just two single beds pushed together *wifi didn't work in rooms at all *breakfast was appalling - the best thing that could be said was that there was a choice of teabags, everything else was very poor - a bowl of hard boiled eggs, some stale cake, and a some bread+toaster and that's your lot *promised transfers to the airport did not happen, and the hotel were totally unable to order a taxi, in the end we stood on the main road and flagged down a stranger and persuaded him to take us to the airport of 15 euros *the shower was pointless, if you trained a seagull to fly down to the beach and scoop a beak full of water and empty it over your head instead- you would have got much wetter *staff were odd - the owner told me off for pressing the buttons in the lift -there are warning signs up with fines for loosing remote controls etc - not what you would expect for a hotel at this price. *the location is not as shown in the map- don't be fooled into thinking that you will be a gentle walk from the ferry port after a long day travelling, it's half a kilometre along the main road with no pavement, then a couple of hundred metres up a steep road, and then when you arrive you'll be very dissapointed

Review 85：I had read reviews which were not so encouraging so I went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the whole hotel was very clean. We contacted the hotel prior to our arrival and they picked us up from the airport and drove us back again when we flew out. As a family of 4, we reserved the quad room which ended up having two bedrooms with a balcony sea view. The pool was lovely with a fabulous view. It was only about a 15 minute walk to Mykonos old town so we only rented a car for one day to go to Paradise beach and drive around, although there is a local bus which is stops near the hotel too.

I quite enjoyed being overly polite and extra chirpy, just to see if I could get a smile. The hotel is very basic but that's what we wanted, just somewhere as a base to move around the island daily.

The location is almost on the main coast road for ease of transport and the bus stop is 20 metres away. The rooms are spacious but basic and the pool is lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 124：A bit expensive, we had similar in santorini for 70 euros less pernight, a fair price would have been 100 for the accommodation. Breakfastwas a mess and poor quality compared to santorini

Review 128：The hotel served a buffet breakfast, which was good, but the breakfast itself was average. We wish there were more authentic simple Greek foods like yoghurt, figs, and fresh bread, instead of the 'normal' continental breakfast that you usually get in any place in the world.

Review 129：The first thing we loved was the view from the bedrooms. What else would you want but a beautiful view of the blue ocean? Second was the swimming pool and unfortunately, it made it very difficult for us to take the kids out of it! The owners and all the staff were also very nice and friendly. They even tried very hard to help us when one of our bags didn't make it to Mykonos (apparently Aegean Airlines left it in Rome -- and at the end, it never arrived until we left Mykonos!). The location was also good - far enough from the centre of Mykonos (the Hora) but close enough to walk to it when we want to be there. A little swimmable beach was also just a hundred meters away.

Review 130：Although it's advertised to provide wi-fi everywhere, in reality it was available only at the reception area. The tv was damaged and it was replaced only after 24 hrs. from the moment we informed the reception. The breakfast is the absolutely basic. We only had it once, didn't bother to repeat it. Most importantly, we were surprised to find out that there was no mini fridge in the room (something that is widely available nowadays, in any hotel of a similar price), so no chance to keep cool water or any refreshments in the room ...
