Reviews for Ramadale B&B

Review 1:Very comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Everything in your room that you require for night away from home. The bed was everything you would want.

Review 2:Everything was perfect.

Review 3:This was one of the best bnb we have stayed in. We came back Sunday afternoon after a morning hiking to find an open fire burning away and two glasses and a bottle of Jura. Not to mention the chocolate and fruit cake. We then spent all afternoon sipping the Jura in front of the fire and reading. Doesn't get much better than that.

Review 4:Very good breakfast, freshly squeezed O'juice, best porridge we had (with warm berries, golden berries, maple syrup, fresh fruit). Open log fire in the evening, good complimentary whiskey (Jura). Very friendly and attentive host. Nice neighbourhood.

Review 5:We didn't know credit cards aren't accepted so we felt very bad on departure when we didn't have cash on hand. Donald made the situation very easy to handle, so we were quite grateful!

Review 6:Donald is the most gracious and welcoming host! Meticulously clean property, fabulous breakfast, very cozy. Donald was so charming and helpful, we really appreciated all his efforts.

Review 7:I've stayed at a vast number of b and Bs throughout the UnitedKingdom over the past 20-30 years and Donald is probably the friendliestand most accommodating host I've ever met. The facilities areexcellent (with a special mention for the bath in the single room) andthe breakfast was also outstanding. As far as I can see, it would be close to impossible to improve Ramadale. If you're coming to Stornoway, don't give a moment's thought to staying anywhere else.

Review 8:Lovely BnB with very hospitable hosts. I was catching an early morning ferry the next day and Donald gave me a lift down and a packed brekky! I had time for a relaxing bath in oldstyle bathtub on legs in the bathroom attached to the room. Highly recommend.

Review 9:Donald & Margaret were the perfect hosts, welcoming us into their lovely home. Due to our mobility issues, they put us up in a ground floor room not usually booked out to guests. This was obviously the bedroom of a family member, but they were most gracious about it. They even did our laundry for us!

Review 10:All the calories I put on from that breakfast and biscuits they left out for us.

Review 11:The owner Donald is just such a helpful guy. mild mannered and kind. He made it a pleasure to stay there. I loved the old fashioned look of the rooms downstairs. the bedroom was very modern. shower great. It felt like coming `home` every night. A 10/10 stay.

Review 12:Donald was very helpful and enjoyable to talk to. The location made it easy to walk to town for a meal, or to drive out on the Isle of Lewis for sightseeing.

Review 13:It was a bit hard to find, but after getting instructions on the phone, Donald promptly offered to come and lead is back to the house.

Review 14:Donald and Margaret couldn't do enough for us. They were perfect hosts.

Review 15:Excellent in all respects. Most welcoming. Dining area and fridge we could use Provided delicious home made cakes. Even did our laundry! Close to centre of town

Review 16:Nothing. We loved everything.

Review 17:This is the best B&B we have stayed in during our 3week Scotland trip. The host is very personable, the food is superb with lots of extra attention. Convenient to downtown

Review 18:The rooms are very nicely furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , with lots of local and homemade produce. Service was first class; very helpful and friendly without being in the least overbearing. One of the best B&Bs I have stayed in.

Review 19:Nothing negative to say.

Review 20:Lovely hosts. A very nice bedroom with comfortable bed. Great breakfasts. The home baking (Victoria Sponge, Tea Loaf) was fresh and tasty and the portions most generous!

Review 21:The room is under the eaves with no space to put suitcase or clothes. You have to duck under the eaves to get to your belongings, so older visitors may find this an issue. Shower would not work on its full setting properly. No bath. Standard double bed.

Review 22:The warm welcome and quiet location

Review 23:Hospitality, the couple who ran it were so friendly and kind. Breakfast on both days was incredible and the facilities are clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Review 24:The room was lovely, with tea and coffee facilities, DVDs and a DVD player, the en-suite shower and toilet was pleasant too. The breakfast was the highlight - it was delicious, home cooked food. We were even treated to a slice of homemade tea loaf when we came back from a wet and windy walk.

Review 25:The owners were very hospitable and helpful and everything was to the highest standard. The room was spacious and had everything needed. Lovely furniture too. The breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day ahead too.

Review 26:B&B located very close to main street, a short walk away. The room was lovely and I received a very nice welcome, and homebaking, on arrival. Clean, comfy room! Fab breakfast!
