Reviews for Ardmor Guest House

Review 1:A stylish, clean, quiet guesthouse in a location close to Stornoway town centre - around a 10 minute walk. Good value and really couldn't fault it in any way. When I mentioned I was out early before breakfast a very nice fruit salad and cereal was left in the fridge in the room so I needn't go hungry in the morning. Quality!

Review 2:Coineach is a lovely welcoming man, the room was gorgeous , we felt really warm and cosy , lots of space ,great facilities, would recommend this guest house to anyone, if we go back to Stornaway we will stay there. excellent service Made our stay memorable !!!

Review 3:5 mins from town centre and ferry. Quick to get onto the road south down through the island to Isle of Harris. Smart rooms, which are very clean and with a friendly welcome.

Review 4:Nothing negative to highlight.

Review 5:Kenny is a nice man. Everything is perfectly explained and organized in this house. All the facilities are up to date and really clean. 15 minutes walk from city center but is OK, only 4,5£ to come back by taxi.

Review 6:We enjoyed the enthusiastic and friendly welcome of our host Kenny McMillan. Great stories, informative tips on Lewis. Awesome breakfasts and meticulously clean. Highly recommend.

Review 7:I cannot recommend Ardmore Guest House highly enough. Kenny (yes, I've forgotten the Gaelic spelling already!) was the most genial host one could possibly ask for. The place is spotless, peaceful and he dealt with aplomb with a minor problem I had. The guest house a busy place and that is because Kenny's high rating on Booking.com is fully justified. (Ask him about his hedgehog family...!)

Review 8:We had no problems but someone with mobility issues might find the steps up to the front door a bit of a challenge. There are about 12 of them. However, its well worth the effort.

Review 9:Loads of room, a good shower with elbow room, very clean and well presented. Good breakfast. Very friendly owner who has very high standards and meets them.

Review 10:We couldn't get any internet access - but we didn't die! It didn't affect us, but the access to the property is up steep steps so will not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Review 11:Quiet location, great view from the room (5),which was very comfortable and stylish. Kenny was most helpful when we weren't able to have breakfast within the allowed times. The en suite shower-room was well fitted out. The room was HUGE with an area to sit in too.

Review 12:Good location, friendly host, excellent breakfast - even worked out our order when we gave him the wrong room number!! Easy to travel around the islands from here.

Review 13:Nothing bad could be said about this wee gem.

Review 14:The proprietor (Kenny) was welcoming, friendly and went out of his way toassist us. The place really is a gem and a complete surprise. Clean, well appointed and good food (full breakfast) not continental asdescribed on booking.com

Review 15:Our breakfast was delayed by an hour (9.30 instead of 8.30) which delayed our plans for the day. Limited option for vegetarians in cooked breakfast.

Review 16:The family room was spacious and well done with a sitting and a writing table - rare in a b&b.

Review 17:Lots of steps up to the front door. On street parking, which got crowded.

Review 18:Huge, immaculately clean room with it's own wee fridge, lovely extras like cappachino coffee and welcome chocolates. Great place to stay with views over Stornoway and the sea

Review 19:We have never stayed in a guest house before, usually good quality hotels... I can honestly say it put some hotels to shame! Warm personal welcome with beautifully appointed rooms and all the luxurious touches you expect in a boutique hotel. Breakfast was delicious and our host was very helpful. We will be back.
