Reviews for Highbury House

Review 1:Really noisy shower and tiny fridge for water and milk that was running continuously.

Review 2:Lots of space for a family. Good location for the south beach. Friendly landlord.

Review 3:Bed modern but not the most comfortable. A bit of noise (though not excessive) at night as on a semi-main (B) road.

Review 4:Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, bright (recently redecorated?), spacious room with good facilities (e.g. including fridge and flat screen TV). Good breakfast.

Review 5:Only bad thing really was that my room faced south and so got all the afternoon sun and so was very, very warm in the evening, even with the window open. A minor quibble though.

Review 6:The best breakfast I have had in a B&B, really well cooked and just how I like it. Great friendly owners, made me feel really at home.

Review 7:The parking can be tricky so we had to park a short walk away and it is a good walk to the high street okay for us but not if you have mobility problems.

Review 8:We enjoyed our stay here for a couple of days we had a large room we which we found to be lovely and clean. If you are looking for a comfortable stay at a good price this is what your looking for.

Review 9:Nothing. It is a B&B so don't expect a 3-star ammenities

Review 10:Good location just about 15 minutes walk away from the train station and few minutes away from the beach. Very homely ambience as it is a B&B. Immaculately clean and very cozy. Very accommodating host. Nice breakfast!

Review 11:Check out on a Sunday is 10am and the one staff member working there was abrupt in asking we to leave as we genuinely thought check out was 11am

Review 12:The rooms was better then expected

Review 13:Location set back a bit further from the front than expected but only short walk to see the sea.

Review 14:Clean, comfortable room. Chairs in bay window meant that we could relax and read with a cup of tea (coffee, tea & biscuits provided) Fridge containing bottled water was a nice touch. Terry is an attentive & friendly host and cooked us a good breakfast.

Review 15:The wifi didn't work, neither of us could get a connection. The accommodation is not where it states on google maps or booking.com. I booked purely on where I thought I was, but I was a half mile away, this wouldn't normally bother me, but my friend has mobility problems.

Review 16:Lovely welcoming owner, very friendly and helpful. Large comfortable twin room with massive bathroom! Gorgeous full English breakfast with other cereal options.

Review 17:We were in room in roof so ceiling slanted 1side making room feel smaller than was

Review 18:Breakfast was full English & very good, street parking - we got right outside door, shower roomy & powerful, mini fridge in room so could store our drinks for next day

Review 19:Bed could have been higher. TV could be bigger

Review 20:Convenient for station, shops, sea front. Terry (owner) cheery & friendly. Good shower; tea & coffee in room.

Review 21:didn't like the sausages served at breakfast. could have done with a bedside cabinet either side of double bed with light either side

Review 22:good size room with armchairs and table to relax as well as comfortable bed. Lovely shower , easy to use controls.

Review 23:Not long enough. Really enjoyed Highbury House. I'm a nurse and was travelling with my 88 yr old client. He had great grandparents in Lowestoft which is why we went there. It was wonderful and would never visit London and the rat race again!

Review 24:Everything about Lowestoft. Very cute church and old gravestones very interesting. A little town was very cute also. Everything within walking distance and on the beach.

Review 25:TV was ancient and small haha. Took a while to get up and running. Area.

Review 26:size of room. Service. Cleanliness. Shower (easy & clean). The hash browns! :)

Review 27:Probably being over picky but wifi was a little weak, maybe because I was on top floor furthest from the router.

Review 28:I stayed here for 4 nights through work and it proved very suitsble. Clean, comfy and quiet. Ibwouod stay here again if the situation arose.

Review 29:Mattress

Review 30:The owner was polite but perhaps a little reserved keeping his conversation quite short and sharp. Room was spotless but fixtures and fittings quite low grade, hence poor nights sleep due to uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast hearty but lacked creation.

Review 31:The friendliness of owner and the breakfasts

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:Friendliness of Terry, owner. Room was well equipped but could have done with a small coffee table when sitting in the chair.

Review 49:Breakfast Spacious room Quiet location

Review 51:too many stairs for our age and disability - no hand towel in bathroom

Review 52:Breakfast was great - staff helpful - comfortable beds

Review 53:The mattress was terrible. I didn't sleep well at all on any of the nights.
