Landhotel Schützenhof sells fast on our site. Located right on the shore of Lake Fuschl, Landhotel Schützenhof offers a restaurant only for hotel´s guests, a spa area, a bar with an open fireplace, and a private beach featuring a terrace and a sunbathing lawn with deckchairs. Free WiFi is available.
The Schützenhof's spa area includes a sauna, 2 hot tubs, 2 waterbeds, an infrared cabin, and a fitness area. All spa facilities can be used free of charge from 16:00 to 22:00. Massages and beauty treatments can be booked on site. Bathrobes are provided in the rooms.
During good weather conditions, guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner at the property's terrace.
Free parking is available opposite the hotel. Guests can hire Nordic walking poles and hiking rucksacks free of charge.

Review 1：Beautiful scenery and excellent quality food with the half board option. Other scenic areas are close by that are worth a visit. St Gilgen is a must.

Great view from the private deck, and for rooms facing the lake. Staff were incredibly helpful and exceptionally helpful for non-German speakers. Not your typical tourist experience.

Review 14：The room size was very small. The lady at the reception was not pleasant nor helpful. We requested an extra bed but she said there is no extra bed or extra linings. Later she charged us for the extra persons although no bed or linings were provided; She claimed it was for the breakfast. I told her such charges should be discussed upfront in order to avoid and any disagreement.

Review 15：The location of the hotel is right at the lake. The breakfast area at the lake is breathtaking and very memorable. The restaurant staff were very friendly and supportive, which made it very pleasant.

Review 82：Very unfriendly staff. Very unpolite lady at the reception and what is worse, she claimed to be the hotel manager and owner at the same time. We arrived together with my wife and our 5 months old baby to this hotel. We planned to stay one week. We also brought our 84 years old grandmother who has problems to walk and has to use crutches all the time. She was staying in the other guest house next to the hotel due to full bookings. When she visited us in the hotel terrace, she was asked by the hotel manager to walk away as she was not a hotel guest. No matter that she belonged to us. After this experience which we found non acceptable we moved out from this bad place to the guest house placed next to it where we had a far different experience with the fantastic owners. Schutzenhof is not worth of the 4 stars rating it has. With this bad service attitude it is just a scam. If you want to enjoy your stay at Lake Fuschl, better stay in one of the neighboring guest houses that provide far better (and cheaper) experience.

Review 83：Having paid for an in-land-facing room, when I arrived, without asking,they gave me a lake-facing room with terrace because they were not fullybooked. The staff were constantly proactively looking for ways to makemy stay better. Excellent experience.

The breakfast was poor like a 2 star hotel, no cookies, no fruit yogurt, no fresh fruit etc. You must sit every morning at the same table whether you like it or not !!! We also didn' t see any private beach around. They charged our child extra even it wasn' t mentioned before on booking.

Therefore, we would not recommend this hotel to those looking for peace and quiet, as well as families with young children. The hotel has its own beach, but not near the building. Review 107：We have been staying at the Schutzenhof in group of two families with 5 years child from 23 July to 13 August 2012. The hotel is located at the shore of a beautiful lake with clean water of drinking quality. We stayed at spacious rooms with good furniture made of real wood. Review 108：The hotel was situated on the shoreline with a nice eating areaoutdoors. We had a spectacular view of the lake from our balcony. Wewere very happy with the continental breakfasts and evening meals. Thestaff were very pleasant and helpful . The lounge area was comfortableand relaxed. The walk around the lake took about 3.5 hours at aleisurely pace. Lots of photo opportunities. There were plenty of walksin the area, most involving some hills and all well signposted.
