Reviews for Olia Hotel

Review 1:The distance to the main town was a little far, but we hired a quad bike which solved the problem.

Review 2:The staff were very helpful, the accomodation was beautiful, swimming pool was perfect temperarure and the breakfast was excellent.

Review 3:Need to climb the stairs since the rooms are 2-3 floors up the hill from reception.

Review 4:Best location if you've arrived on the boat into the Mykonos marina, just 100 meters away. Nice design in white clean colors with yacht ropes ornament. Sea view onto the marina and ocean liners and big vessels parking. Welcoming staff, who even organized an early breakfast before departure to the airport. Good restaurant aside. Guest computer for remote check-in for the flight.

Review 5:The hotel is at a great location. Steps away from the new port and just a few minutes away from the town. The staff was amazing, very helpful and kind. The rooms were simple but with everything we needed. And the restaurant was excellent too. Great place!!!

Review 6:The beds were a little rough. More like cots.

Review 7:Great Location and view of the sea! Right on the bus line. The breakfast was very good and fresh and all the staff were most courteous.

Review 8:The fact that wifi didn't work in the rooms. Breakfast could do with some improvement.

Review 9:The lady Toula was very kind and helpful. She made our stay very comfortable! Thank you!

Review 10:We only stayed for one night as we flew into Mykonos and were sailing to Santorini the day after. We were greeted by a lovely guy on reception who came outside to collect our backs. Really lovely guy showed us around and said "you can go out, or just chill here with us". We went for food and then came back for a few drinks in the bar around the gorgeous pool. The room we stayed in was small and basic, but really clean. The bed was a bit hard, but we were only there for the night. Our room had a gorgeous view of the port. The hotel is a little out of the way of Mykonos town.

Review 11:Nothing. :)

Review 12:The room was very clean and the reception girl Maria was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was nice. I think that the room and the breakfast is very reasonable price. I felt comfortable and relax there. Thank you.

Review 13:Pool area too small. Not enough sun beds for guests. Was not able to get a lounger the whole 5 days we were there. No wine opener in room. Asked to borrow one and request denied.

Review 14:Location was good. Beautiful view!! Told we were getting a free upgrade but the suite we were put it was the one I booked.

Review 15:Wifi is basically non-existent; breakfast is very bad quality, coffee is undrinkable; the bathroom was old (70s !) and water pressure inconsistent; the owner is aggressive and rude, but the staff is nice. No value for money.

Review 16:Change of sheets and towels every day

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:Tula at the reception desk was exceptional! She helped us from the minute arrived till we left. We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite to our pleasant surprise!! Location was great with beautiful view of port!

Review 19:No full length mirroe in rooms Sink in bedroom not in bathroom

Review 20:reception staff some of the most helpful and friendly I have come across. Hotel and room all super clean.

Review 21:Although it was conveniently a walking distance to the port for me, it was a bus ride away from the town and anything else. Lack of local food.

Review 22:The staff were very attentive, efficient and flexible. A quiet place although it was by the road. Great food.

Review 23:I didnt like the bed, mattress was a bit too hard for my liking

Review 24:Loved the location of the hotel and how easily accessible it was from the hotel to get to the main city. Staff were beyond amazing even carried our bags all the way to the top floor.

Review 25:Wifi in the bedrooms very weak....

Review 26:The Hotel is excellently located about 2 kms away from the busy Old Port Area but with a convenient Bus Stop just outside the Hotel with Buses every 30mins which take you there! There is also a sipermarkvalmost next door and an excellent Taverna close by. The Staff at the Hotel are amazing - friendly and ready to see to your every need - over and above all expectations! Would definitely stay there next time I am in Mykonos!!!

Review 27:Is not a big deal, but the internet could be little bit better.

Review 28:Well done for ALL TEAM in this Hotel you guys are great !!! BIG CONGRATULATIONS. Mykonos is a great city PERFECT.

Review 29:Lots of stairs, towels not changed daily.

Review 30:Great location, nice pool, good service, helpful staff, beautiful view, close to bus stop and new port. Super market next door.

Review 31:no wi-fi in the room. you need rental car/atv/motocycle to go to the town. breakfast was so so.

Review 32:large rooms. transportation from the airport is nice. outlooking is good.

Review 33:Extremely close (walking distance) to new port, bus stop right outside the entrance and just a ~ten minute ride to town, very easy and very safe. Staff was wonderful in helping organize a day trip to Delos as well as answering any and every other question I had. I felt very welcomed and at home throughout my stay - stay here!

Review 34:Internet coverage and speed is bad and only covers with low speed in the lounge No snacks inside rooms Beds are not comfortable

Review 35:Location is very nice Staff are very friendly and helpful

Review 36:Wifi keep loosing reception but that's valid in many places abroad

Review 37:Room 39- apartment studio- free upgrade Great breakfast, super friendly staff, a view to die for: )), free airport pick up, free drop off to ferry terminal (only 500m) away Bus stop across the road, and also sea bus same for Mykonos town transfer- great punctual service Excellent time there prior to Antiparos transfer- if you have time try Delos trip to archeological sites amazing worth the full guided price

Review 38:New mattresses would be nice.

Review 39:Beautiful view over new port. Breakfast was great. Very helpful in arranging to pick us up even though we only stayed 1 night and ordering a taxi the next day. We had a big apartment. Would definitely go back. Friendly staff.

Review 40:small rooms, limited variety/repeated breakfast, poor wifi etc.

Review 41:Average property, small rooms, limited variety/repeated breakfast, poor wifi etc. etc.Location is good. Walking distance from new port but stay away from this property if you dont have your personal vehicle (you may take car/bike on rent). all the beaches are located south of Mykonos and if you want to go by bus, you need to take a bus (thankfully bus stop is bang on front of the property) from hotel to old port and from old port you need to walk for another bus stop crossing the city all the way to wind-mills and to take another bus to reach any beach. You may have to wait for 30-45 minutes for each bus plus 20-30 min walk to take another bus. If you are family, stay at Ornos/Platis Gelalios rest is fine...... :(

Review 42:it is a bit too far off Mykonos town. There are buses and ferries right opposite the hotel but u need to always depend on them. The best way is to rent a motorcycle or AtV..

Review 43:Beautiful place and rooms, very nice and helpful staff

Review 44:Two single beds in our otherwise very clean view with a room.

Review 45:The location near the marina that made it easy to onboard our chartered sailboat. Very freindly staff offering to keep luggage, provide showers and faciloities when offboarding the cruise.

Review 46:Absolutely nothing

Review 47:We stayed for 3 nights in June 2015. The hotel is located opposite the new port of Mykonos very close to the ferrie stops. On our arrival the staff at reception was friendly and helpful and we even got upgraded to a room with sea view. The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool and port. The restaurant has the best food with a nice variety on the menu to chose from and we always received the best service from Spiros. The pool area is beautiful with an amazing pool and sun beds. The buffet breakfast has a lot to chose from and the food was always fantastic. All and all the hotel the staff and everything else was the best!

Review 48:The mattresses were rather too unforgiving by choice and our room was rather dark as it faced the rear of the property.

Review 49:Wonderful view of the marina and harbour with good links to ferries and town. Good pool area and good quality snack and restaurant area and bar with very competitive prices.

Review 50:No shuttle/pickup service from/to port/airport when booking only one night , no good guest service-!! 3-bed room (Nr 27) "garden view": rotting door frames on the floor, one bed like a prison/youth hostel bed with realy bad springs, room has no atmosphere, terrace directly to the guest parking area, no "garden-view" ! Nobody helps to carry the luggage of a family all the long way/steps to the room!

Review 51:View, pool, Meze Resteraunt food and Staff

Review 54:All good !

Review 55:Had an absolutely gorgeous stay. We got upgraded to the suite on the top of the hotel. The views were magnificent watching the cruise ships come into the port every day.The hotel surpassed all our expectations and was just an absolute perfect 3 days spent in Mykonos. Hotel staff were super friendly, rooms spotlessly clean and lovely vibe throughout the hotel. Thanks for our gorgeous stay.We absolutely loved every minute of it !

Review 56:Maybe the breakfast could offer more choice, but OK. Close to the Marina and it's late arrivals may disturb some light sleepers

Review 57:Nice Greek style hotel with friendly staff and great pool. Good outdoor restaurant as well. Pleasant surroundings although the pool near the busy main road but good view over the Marina.

Review 58:The proximity to the ferry port to Naxos and the easy and cheap bus link to the town. The breakfast was delightful and plentiful and the view from our room was stunning. Well worth the visit

Review 59:Breakfast was average, could have a little more variety however it's a tiny price to pay for a wonderful value for money hotel! The wifi works well except that after a few minutes it kicks you out and you have to type in the password again.

Review 60:Literally everything. The location is amazing- opposite the port which looks beautiful during the day and at night. The rooms are sweet with much needed air conditioning. The pool overlooks the port and in the distance Mykonos town with the mountains in the back drop.

Review 61:Nothing bad really. Breakfast could be a bit better (bread, cheese, ham and boiled eggs mostly). Wifi doesn't work everywhere (I was in a studio at the top of the hill, away from the main building).

Review 62:The staff were excellent and very friendly. The rooms spacious and comfortable, the pool area is great too. Nice views over the new port.

Review 63:Photos deceiving. Makes rooms appear larger and makes hotel seem more luxury. Food at the restaurant qas was basic. Breakfast basic and not much of a variety for vegans/vegetarians. The orange juice was disgusting, both my friends and I agreed (3 of Us). Taxi service was called but it took so long to come we were late to the port so we opted to walk Instead. .. an unpleasant dusty walk.

Review 64:Near the port. Very very nice staff. Free taxi service. Pool. Restaurant. Very clean

Review 65:The location is slightly outside of town and it takes about 15 mins walk to reach the tourist area.

Review 66:The hospitality of the hotel staff made the stay a better experience for us. Cosy environment and it really gave us a sneak peak of staying in a Greek home.

Review 67:Different floor levels in the bedroom is dangerous as one tends to forget about it when getting up in the night without switching on lights. My husband had quite a bad fall as a result. I missed my fruit at breakfast. Irregular buses make it very difficult to get from hotel to town and back. Menu at the restaurant very limited and other restaurants far away this time of year.

Review 68:The staff very helpful. The hotel brand new.

Review 69:The only thing we didn't like was the heater, it was winter time and the room was very cold and the heater didn't help at all even though it was on and to the max

Review 70:Hotel was very close to the port (7-10 min by foot) and close to the city as well (about 20min walking).

Review 71:A long walk into the town centre and as it was off season not a lot of transport. Small room with no real windows. Internet non existent in the room and poor even in the dining area.

Review 72:Great staff especially Tula I think her name was. Very friendly and helpful. We were even picked up at the ferry which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was OK.

Review 73:This was the first hotel we have stayed in that was clean, great service and a very authentic feel to it! Very welcoming and helpful. We will defiantly go back! Greek hotel, through and through.

Review 74:Bed needs to be replaced- the springs were all over the place giving me a sore back. The breakfast options were minimal, ok if you just want some toast and a cuppa, but a great deal of choice. Construction noise from site next door and from maintaince onsite.

Review 75:Nice venue, nice pool area. Liked that it was away from the main town area. Reception staff in AM was very helpful and friendly.

Review 76:Really poor wi-fi

Review 77:Opposite the new ferry harbour, sea bus & bus stop to Mykonos Town. Delightful rooms, really wonderful reception staff & a beautiful breakfast every day.

Review 78:It is located away from the city and it is what we wanted. There are bus service and water bus to the city, it took us some time to figure out the schedule. Hotel staff gave us the schedules as every have hour for bus and every 15 minutes for water bus. Well, maybe in summer and hotel should know better. In reality it was every hour, and we had to watch for the bus from nearby taverna to learn what time it comes. Water bus was easier although not clear where the stop was. Hotel room was specious, but with very poor bed sagged in the middle and ridiculous amount of light switches with none of them by the bed. Overall not bad, but they could make it better

Review 79:Clearness

Review 80:- The Wi-Fi never worked in the rooms. It only worked at the reception area. - The telephones in the room were not working. - Location is not great. The hotel is right in front of the new harbour of Mykonos. Lots of seacraft traffic all through the day obstructing the promised sea views - Limited breakfast menu selection

Review 81:Well-furnished hotel Nice staff Good food at Mezza on Port Restaurant

Review 82:Only let down was the advertised free transfer doesn't apply if it's too early. We had a 7:30am ferry at the new port (2mins drive), and the girl at reception told us it's too early for transfers but she'll look into it. Next morning, there was a taxi at the front instead, €15... Not happy!

Review 83:Staff friendly, rooms clean & comfortable, bus at front door, €1,60 and 10mins into town or 6mins to Agios Stefanos.

Review 84:Perfectly located opposite the new harbour to catch the Ferry. Also located opposite the bus stop for Mykonos town 1.6e & the sea bus 2e. Delightful room, service, Breskfast & location

Review 85:The shower in the bathroom was a little small and only had a shower curtain so it normally flooded our bathroom floor.

Review 86:The Location of Olia Hotel was perfect for a Mykonos Holiday. It is close enough to Town to be able to go into Town for a nice dinner and some partying but also provides a nice quiet nights rest. The bus stops right outside of the hotel which is also a plus. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provided help with booking different activities we were interested in. The breakfast was also a great selection of homemade Greek sweet or savoury snacks as well as fresh fruit.

Review 87:When asking how to get to the beaches they gave us information that was very wrong sending us on a wild goose chase and we didn't get to a beach until 2pm.

Review 88:Staff was very friendly. They provide a decent breakfast with some fruit which was a nice change.

Review 89:The service was excellent, the reception were very kind. The room well decorated as well as all the hotel. The food is amazing in the restaurant and the attention on the restaurant, bar and pool were incredible. Excellent location just across the new port and a bus stop in the front. Breakfast very good.

Review 90:The problem is to get to Mykonos downtown or most of beaches: you have to take a bus to the old port every time. So it gets boring as you use it every day. Better if you rent a car. The first room we got with 2 single beds wasn't comfortable at all. Very windy. Other problem is wifi that didn't work for us most of time. If you want to be walk distant from Mykonos downtown, this is not the place.

Review 91:Thanks for the adorable staff (specially Toula), we had a nice stay there. Nice swimming pool and breakfast. We had a lovely double bed room after - an awful room - which I strongly recommend you to get - I believe it's 24 the number.

Review 92:Though hotel is 15 min walk to island center, there is no pedestrian walk so it is very dangerous to walk to the center. In addition, there is a taxi problem in the island and buses are unpredictable. So during my stay in this hotel, it was very difficult to enjoy the island. First you should go to Fabrika, then take another bus to the beaches. Btw the buses, always waited around 15 minutes. For example, from Paradise beach, it took me 2 hours to get to Olia. After I moved to another hotel in center, I started to enjoy Mykonos.

Review 93:The hotel is clean, staff is very nice. The pool area is cool and after the breakfast, it was very relaxing to lie on the sunbeds. Breakfast is fine, as well. The food is very nice. I strongly recommend the pork and lamb dishes.

Review 94:location - nearest beach is 15 minutes walking, and the city centre around 30 minutes but the streets are very dangerous to walk

Review 95:Staff, Restaurant and general atmoshpere

Review 96:Really bad wifi reception

Review 97:We were totally caught by surprise when we arrived at the hotel we received un upgrade to the main suite and it was wonderfull. Very good location since it's 5 min walking from the port

Review 98:The only thing I was disappointed was in the wi-fi which was not good from our room as we were a bit detached from the main hotel.

Review 99:Amazing location, food and staff. Our room was amazing. Housekeeping everyday. Great view. I would definitely go again :-)

Review 100:Internet was not very good, very slow

Review 101:The local was very good only a short walk from the new Port, you can take the bus right outside the hotel into the town of Mykonos which is a 5 minute bus ride or the water bus which we preferred,is only a short walk from the hotel. The staff were really lovely, and the receptionist was very helpful in helping us on our sightseeing ventures. If you want peace away from the town this is a perfect spot, a family beach was a 10minute walk away. The hotel overlooks the Port so a great place to see all the cruise ships come in.

Review 102:Location and service

Review 103:Really friendly staff and very central location, really nice hotel!

Review 104:Matrass on the beds not as comfortable.

Review 105:The Staff was amazing. Very helpful and kind. Perfect location.

Review 106:The free airport transfer did not eventuate, cost 18 euro to airport

Review 107:Close to new port, and the Sea Bus into Mykonos

Review 108:Comfortable room.. friendly staff..great breakfast..bus stops out the front going into town each day..mini market close by..

Review 109:the stairs...carrying the suitcases

Review 110:Loved the room great view and Spyros at the restaurant was fantastic...well done hope to return

Review 111:The sofas and the upholstery were dirty

Review 112:The rooms, the property and the staff were very good.

Review 113:Restaurant food was not good, bed was hard, seating area at pool was small and balcony was very small.

Review 114:Location to the port and watching the sun set.

Review 115:Staff

Review 116:Close proximity to the ''Chora'' of Mykonos, 5' by car. Very close to the new port. Excellent location.

Review 117:poor WiFi

Review 119:poor wifi

Review 120:excellent location near town and new port, friendly & helpful staff, great view.

Review 121:Most lovely staff - Georglios and Toula were a pleasure! Beautiful spot, well maintained, quality breakfast.

Review 122:Great helpful friendly staff :)

Review 123:The staff particularly Jorgas who was so helpful.location is great-a short bus ride to mykonos town.

Review 124:The price per night is very high in comparison to room and it's amenities.

Review 125:Hotel is good with nice friendly staff.

Review 126:Gorgeous interior & architectural design. Friendly, helpful Front Desk reception staff. Lovely breakfast.

Review 127:Good price-quality ratio. Kind staff and excellent location.

Review 128:None

Review 129:Rooms Ok and the bus to Mykonos stopped outside the door. Staff very obliging and helpful.

Review 130:Really friendly staff who helped us a lot in planning our time in Mykonos.

Review 131:Bed a bit lumpy but staff very helpful.
