Review 13:Proximity of town centre, Clenliness of beds and towels, room to move around they moved people around so we could get a low floor(not many stairs) for my partner

Review 15:About a 2 minute walk to the railway station, about 5 minutes walk to the town centre.
Review 16:Great place if you plan to spend a lot of time outside. Breakfast is awesome and room is cleaned everyday. Very happy with the service and very cheap.
Review 17:Hotel is reasonably clean, but very dated like an old pub from the 80's. Booked as a family online, but were given rooms on two different floors. Bed was really uncomfortable with a dip in the middle, glad it was for just one night.
Review 18:Hotel reasonably clean. Staff stayed up for us to check in late, then rang a taxi for us the next day.
Review 19:Hotel interior very shabby and in much need of a refurbishment entrance to hotel smelt of smoke and dirty shabby carpet dining room also used as a bar and laundry room ironing layed out very depressing bedrooms freshly painted but carpet tired furniture dated definitely should not be rated 3star by Scottish tourism

Review 24:Not so much a bad experience, but my second night coincided with the annual Good Neighbours festivities. Had I known this, I would have chosen accommodation further from the town centre to avoid the noise.
Review 25:It was ordinary and unpretentious. Although I chatted to other residents, I could have been comfortably anonymous. The bedroom was a good size for a single, and it had a good view of the wonderful bowling green. Superb Eggs Benedict.
Review 26:No bad experiences.
Review 27:The bathtub and shower were both very clean and the tub was a welcome part of the evening when travelling for work. The staff ensured that there was gluten free porridge available when I requested a gluten free breakfast. Staff were friendly.
Review 28:nothing the place was great and the staff were too
Review 29:Lovely place staff were very friendly and helpful right next to the Railway station and within walking distance of the town with plenty of bars and places to eat a real home away from home

Review 31:the location of hotel to town centre. the breakfast was good and the owner was pleasant..
Review 32:Even our 3rd floor room echoed to the downstairs noise. Police visitedtwice Saturday night. Proprietor had no control over party nor concernfor hotel guests.
Review 33:Nothing.
Review 34:The mushrooms were overcooked, but otherwise the breakfast was delicious.
Review 35:The space and comfort of the rooms. The hospitality of the hoteliers in accommodating my needs upon entry. The toast was lovely in the morning within breakfast time which was within a 2 hour period. Good value for money
Review 36:Shower cold and unable to adjust temperature - probably due to lack of water pressure. Blind on window did not work. General décor clean but 'tired'. TV ancient and only got it to work once. Some work is needed to bring the standard up - sorry.

Review 52:Good location for reaching town centre. Nice quiet street. Daughter had large bathroom all to herself.
Review 53:Our bedroom is definitely long overdue a make over! The ceiling was covered in black mould n damp stains. I didn't feel overly comfortable staying there! No air con / fans during heat wave.
Review 54:Breakfast Parking

Review 57:Huge well cooked breakfast. Clean room and comfy bed. Bar food good choice and well presented. Staff very pleasant.

Review 59:Placed in town centre easy walking to explore Dumfries. Good place as a base to travel round Galloway etc.
Review 60:The reception area was a mess. The room was not particularly clean, I had to tell the owner about the toilet seat not working right, lack of cups and no remote initially. The shower was broken, the soap pump was also broken and it was generally not comfortable.
