Review 1：We loved the beautiful pool, the restaurant (try the fried zucchini delicious) and the staff. Makis, the owner checked us in. He's wonderful, a real character. Our room #19 had a balcony with a great view of the pool and harbor, comfortable bed and great shower. We arrived in Mykonos from Santorini on the SeaJets Ferry and walked from the port, about 10 minutes, then found you could call and they'll pick you up in their comfortable shuttle. You can take the Sea Bus just across the street to the old port a short stroll to Little Venice for 2 euro. Very convenient.

Review 6：The hotel is situated away from the crowd of the town but easy to go to with bus or sea bus.The station is just outside the hotel.The Agios Stefanos beach,the supermarket,the motor/car rental office,a restaurant...all were just a few steps away.Our room was modern furnished,very clean but smaller than in the photo.We enjoyed in our room a very nice terrace overlooking both,the Agean sea and also the pool area.The pool was nice and clean,also very deep in one side so you could jump into it very tranquilly.The free shuttle from and to the airport was very kind.All the Makis familly was very friendly and helpful.

It's quiet location but has all the essentials walking distance including, coffee shop, laundry mat, ATV rental, port, restaurant and bus stop. In town prices can be high. Makis Place has a restaurant on property with amazing views! When we arrived the owner upgraded us to a superior room. Wow, this room was recent renovated and beautiful. Modern, simple and clean. Bathroom was to die for. Especially if your use to the small at bathrooms you can find in Athens. Great time! Would come back for sure!

Review 16：The shower nice and big! Best in all our stays in Italy and Greece! Great staff. Picked us up from New Port and then dropped us off at Old Port for ferry. Pool was great and the view was to die for. Car hire place right next door and restaurant on site.

Review 18：The hotel caters for different types of holidaymakers offering an uncommon combination of budget and modern superior rooms, so I can only speak for our accommodation, which was a superior rooms with sea view. The room was spacious with a nice little balcony, everything was new and modern. Lovely bathroom, shower with good high pressure. The food at the restaurant was great, definitely worth a try. The pool area was very nice Friendly staff We had a car for our stay, so no problem with location - only a short drive to Mykonos Town. The hotel is nicer than it looks in the pictures with its very characteristic Mykonian architecture and outdoor area. To sum up we were very happy with our room and overall we had a great experience!

Review 20：Our room was very clean, modern and had a beautiful terrace with amazing views over both the sea and pool area. We loved the hotel's location, away from the crowds and right across the new port, the seabus, a nice restaurant, car/motor rentals and a supermarket. We had it all just steps away! However, the best feature of the property is the pool: beautiful, clean and soooo refreshing! We were so sad to leave Makis Place at the end of our stay; it was truly a dream holiday!

Review 25：There is really nothing that really bothered us about Maki's. The only comparison I would make it probably the breakfast. It is fairly basic compared to what we've had at other places, but otherwise, it is nice.
Review 26：The staff was friendly and helpful and the pool was great, with a view to the Aegean sea (and the new port). The room was basic, but very clean. Location wise, it was reasonable. We were able to jump on the public bus service (during peak period every 30 mins, otherwise hourly) to take us to the old port area. The alternative is the Sea Bus, which is approx every hour. It is a 5 - 8 min bus ride to town.
Review 27：Nothing like you see in the picture. First room we checked on was simply dirty. I couldn't touch the remote control. Breakfast is not that great. And the beach 650 feet, is a tiny area, full of rocks, can't even walk there let alone swim.

Review 30：Just got back from a week's vacation in Mykonos where we stayed in one of the Superior double rooms at Maki's place. Our room was impeccably clean, bathroom absolutely beautiful, sea view extraordinary. Very nice staff and just a ten minute walk up and down the hill to a lovely beach. Location is a bit off but there are pretty good connections to and from Mykonos town by seabus or bus every 30 minutes or so, 2€ one way. A taxi from town is 5-6€ at night.

Review 33：The room smelled terrible to cigarette. The beds were undone, the sheets were folded for the guests to do their own beds. As wells, the sheets were not so clean. The room was for five people and not two as we needed. Unfortunately, they charged my Master card ahead of time so there was not much we could do. This is a hotel for young people who smoke and party. Definitely not for mature people.
Review 34：Transportation was the only problem, as u need to set ur schedule with the public buss schedules and they were not on time. Taxis really sucks u must be lucky to find taxi from anywhere in Mykonos. But this has nothing to do with the hotel, greek tourism should focus on this issue, coz taxis are really rude and rarely to find.

Review 45：Makis place is a real gem. We stayed for 7 nights and had a beautiful harbour view, room was small and so was bathroom but balcony was huge and view made it work. Most important thing was excellent air con, the family are just amazing to deal with, very helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome, the food in the hotel is also amazing and we ended up eating there several times. Wifi on Mykonos in general is not good anywhere and can be frustrating. The only negative was the noise from house keeping in the morning was annoying, everyday we were woke up by other rooms been cleaned and it just spoiled things a bit, I would defo book Makis place again and will for sure when I go back next time.

Very clean and beautiful, also very close to the port (walking distance) but the staff are lovely enough to pick you up. There is also a restaurant there with beautiful food. Review 49：The price was rather expensive for a 3 star hotel, but it was due to the fact that it was high season and the nearby hotels were nearly full. The wifi was quite unstable and only available in conmon areas.
Review 50：The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They picked us from the airport, took us to the port when leaving. The owner is unique and authentic, and he has made his best to offer a high-quality, local style accommodation. So different from franchise hotels. Quite good food at the own restaurant! Proper greek food. And... a lovely swimming pool that we also used at night.
Review 51：Makis Place apartments were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was a bonus! The pool area is also lovely. Location is hard to beat- just a town over from Mykonos old town, bus every 20 minutes, and sea bus (shuttle boat) every 30 minutes for 2euro. The hosts were very helpful offering us free pick-up and drop-off to the ferry port and airport.
Review 52：Internet connection through wi-fi is extremely poor. I was not able to connect inside the room but only at the restaurant. We requested for an extension of our stay for one more night and we were transferred to an old style and tiny room where we had to pay 160 Euro per night! Definitely not worth the money you have to pay!

Excellent value for money. Breakfast was nice and the owner gave us a lift over to the ferry with our cases. Perfect!!!

The driver got there quickly and gave us some information on the ride back to the hotel. Our room was not going to be ready until that afternoon so he switched us to another room that we could get into at 11am. VERY clean and the pool is amazing. I could have stayed there the whole time. Restaurant was good and breakfast had enough options to suit us. Staff was friendly and worked constantly to keep areas clean

Review 82：Not all rooms have private patio or balcony. Bed comfort is variable. We stayed twice - at the beginning and end of our trip - and the beds in the first room were typical Greek hard (and a bit lumpy). On our 2nd visit (not pre-booked) we were put in a dorm room in the annex, where the beds were much more comfortable. Maybe this part of the building is newer.
Review 83：Easy access to new port (though most island ferries go from old port which is some distance away - but Makis Place will give you free transport if you ask in advance). Interesting view over port. Lovely swimming pool. More than adequate facilities, helpful staff, free pick-up from airport, better-than-average breakfast. For Mykonos (which is a very expensive island) Makis Place is very good value.
Review 84：The room was very small but I noticed some of the other rooms were very spacious so you could probably pick a better room when booking. Other than that Makis Place met all our needs :-)

When we arrived at Makis Place they took our bags to the room as we had some stairs to go up, this was a major plus as we probably couldn't of managed them!! They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was very nice and well priced and the pool area was stunning.

They meet us in the port by car and took us back when we are leaving. Closest beach Tourlos - wild (no umbrellas, sunbeds, beach-bars) and too windy when Nord Wind blows (almost every time). Breakfast is tasty (especially yoghurt), but choise not so big. However you can choose some omelet from breakfast menu.
Review 107：Perfect location: 1 min walking for NewPort, 30 sec walking for SeaBus to Mykonos town, 10 sec walking to Bus. Small Supermarket in 2 min walking. Nice and wind-protected family beach Aggios Stefanos in 5 min walking or one stop by bus. You can hire Motorbike or Car just near the Hotel and reach almost every beach in few minutes. Incredible cute and helpfull personal (owners).

I called Makis Place tocancel (their policy is that a week's notice is necessary for a fullrefund), and they very kindly charged me only half, even though I couldnot give a week's notice. If I ever have occasion to stay on Mykonosin the future, I would surely stay at Makis -- they are very nice todeal with.
