Reviews for County Hotel

Review 1:Hotel in desperate need of a facelift, food in the restaurant was sub standard, en suite had the most awful smell and the beds weren't that comfy and creaked like mad when you moved

Review 2:Breakfast

Review 3:The hotel is tired, small things like no place to put soap in the shower, arriving and no towels or shower curtain in the bathroom. After room make up the following day we returned to the room and pillow still lying on the floor. The hotel stinks of curry as there is a curry restaurant on the ground floor...not great.. To be honest was very disappointed

Review 4:A great location!

Review 5:Location was ideal. Great refuge from the weather! Wonderful place to relax with a drink, have a fabulous meal and then walk upstairs to a comfortable night!s sleep Thank you

Review 6:No car park handy. Rather tired interior, needs upgrading. Staff not very obliging in dining room one night

Review 11:Good location, the refurbished parts of the hotel ( most of it ) were very nice.

Review 12:Car park was very small and also used for storing junk. This necessitated us parking along the road.

Review 13:We had a very comfortable bed with nice soft pillows and a good TV. Good porridge! Evening meals were excellent and a great menu choice - Indian and British

Review 14:Hotel was undergoing refurbishment but we were not informed of this until arrival. Poor car parking provision. Room/bathroom looked nice but the bed was too narrow, half the bulbs were blown and the shower lacked power.

Review 15:Friendly staff and a central location. Restaurant food was 'just OK'. Hotel breakfast 'satisfactory'.

Review 16:STAFF CLUELESS SHOWERS LOW PRESURE. ROOM NOT CLEANED FOR OUR ARRIVAL KEYS DID NOT OPEN THE FRONT DOOR AND NO ATTEMPT TO REMEDY THIS AND THE DECOR IN OUR FRIENDS ROOM WAS A DISGRACE. APART FROM THAT STORNAWAY WAS BEAUTIFUL.

Review 17:NEAR TO FERRY TERMINAL CENTRE OF TOWN

Review 18:'Car park' is poor and doesn't have enough space if there's more than 3 or 4 guests with cars. Restaurant was one of the things that attracted us to the hotel. Unfortunately, they don't tell you beforehand that they run a severly restricted choice on Sunday evenings - forget the burgers and european cuisine

Review 19:The refurbished rooms are really nice, they've been done to a good standard. Good choice at breakfast WiFi coverage excellent

Review 20:Excellent staff and atmosphere. Central location with parking is an asset. Has an old fashioned elegance still, in the midst of refurbishment. Nice eclectic clientele makes for interesting encounters and conversations.
