Reviews for Broad Bay House
Review 1:The owner could not have been more accommodating. The setting was beautiful and the overall design of the hotel truly took advantage of that. It was enormously comfortable even are smallest needs were anticipated. A wonderful stay.
Review 2:I wish the beach had a path down to it or some steps. It would have been perfect if the wifi was unlimited too.
Review 3:Marion & Ian have a beautiful home by the sea. Very comfortable with an excellent breakfast every day.
Review 4:Nothing
Review 5:Wonderful bedroom and en suite- spacious and tastefully designed Fabulous breakfast Wonderful attention to detail from room snacks (inc bottle wine), toiletries etc. High tech electronics Great lounge with panoramic views across bay -equipped with telescopes, comfy chairs, hi-fi etc.
Review 6:On our next trip we are hoping for more time to explore and less rain... But the rain brought beautiful skies.
Review 7:Broad Bay House provided a perfect mix of excellent facility, welcoming professional staff, breathtaking views, outstanding cuisine and quite privacy. It was a perfect choice for a wonderful stay on the Island of Lewis. We can hardly wait to plan our return.
Review 8:Everything you could possibly want is provided for to an unbelievably high standard. The furnishings and surroundings are excellent. Absolutely perfect - cannot rate this place highly enough !
Review 9:Great comfort. Everything you could possibly want is provided and inclusive. Then add in the lovely lounge with views over the sea and it is sheer bliss.
Review 10:It was all perfect. Our room overlooking the Bay was excellent. The owners had thought of everything we might need for a stay on Lewis, and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Review 11:Intermittent wi-fi in bedroom
Review 12:Outstanding room Fantastic guest lounge Great extras Excellent hosts Awesome views Delicious breakfast Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends!
Review 13:If I was to open a Boutique Hotel / Luxury B&B this would be the benchmark. An outstanding property that has all mod cons plus that little bit extra Our only issue was we were not able to stay longer.
Review 14:Nothing was wrong
Review 15:Welcome, cleanliness and facilities all exvellent
Review 16:Location, hospitality, comfort, ambience.
Review 17:Only the difficulty of locating the property at night and a slightly stretched value proposition
Review 18:Everything!
Review 19:The beds are exceptionally comfortable ! We were made very welcome. Lovely breakfast.
Review 20:Exceptional service! Beautiful views! A perfect retreat for the traveler!
Review 21:Amazing location, excellent interior and top service
Review 22:Not a thing.
Review 23:Everything. This is, without doubt, the finest B&B that we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in hundreds. The room was superbly equipped with a full wet room, Egyptian cotton linen, stereo, tv, Molton Brown toiletries and everything else you could possibly need. The lounge area was full glass on all sides with fantastic views across a golden sand beach to seals basking on the rocks in the bay. There was a stereo and an iPad dock with headphones, telescope to view the seals, maps, binoculars, great choice of seating and an honesty bar with beers, lagers, chilled wine, spirits and soft drinks as well as a coffee machine. But the best part is that the owner Ian is a fantastic chef so evening meals are a delight. There is no mobile phone service so you can chill out (but there is super fast free broadband if you need it). This pace is quite simply fabulous and you must go if you are thinking of visiting Lewis. I cannot mark this any higher than perfection.
Review 24:difficult to access without a car (bus service very infrequent)
Review 25:Very friendly, helpful staff, luxurious accommodation with lots of thoughtful additions, near beach
Review 26:Having read some of the reviews we were so looking forward to our stay. However, when we got there we were given a room overlooking the owner’s garage and a building plot next door, not the spectacular sea views and isolation we were expecting. Coupled with that, overlooking a house right next door with a bed sheet draped over the window, did not give the feeling of romantic and perfect isolation we were led to believe the setting offered. Plumbing in the room needs addressing, non-functional toilets are not great and the owner acknowledged that there had been a problem for a while. We would have liked to have given the owner feedback on our stay, rather than on this site, but we only saw him at the end and he did not ask.
Review 27:The breakfast was nice and the young girl serving us was very pleasant.
Review 28:This luxury guesthouse was everything we were looking for! Room 4 wasbeautiful with the best view overlooking the sea! With decking from yourpatio doors on a summers evening this would be the perfect way to endthe day with a glass of wineThe bed was extremely comfy and as for thelittle extras such as biscuits, crisps, and a small bottle of red wineetc that was all complimentary! The dining room was beautiful and to behonest we could have stayed in there all day watching the world go bywith 'that view'!!!!All oak floors and beautifully designed witha bar so you didnt have to venture out if you didnt need to!!! Justwrite what you have at the end of your evening!Marion and Ian werefantastic! They explained the local area for us and places to go as wehad never been to Lewis before and the breakfast was delicious! I canhonestly say I would recommend this place wholeheartedly! Beautiful!!!!

Review 32:A lovely, custom built b&b with all the facilities of a top class hotel. The breakfasts are top class. The owners and staff are helpful anddiscrete and while doing everthing to make your stay pleasant don't tryto be your best friends.
Review 33:This is a wonderful, relaxing place. It is well run and beautifulsurroundings with plenty ways to enjoy the beautiful scenery. A littleout of the town but well worth the detour. The food and service wereexcellent. Every effort is made to assure the travelers comfort. I willrecommend this to my friends and will come back happily if theopportunity comes to me to do so.
Review 34:Ian was so welcoming and very helpful. A beautiful place to stay andwished we could have stayed much longer!! All of his "gadgets" for ouruse were as if we had walked into our own home. He even hascomplimentary use of a washer/dryer. His b & b was, by far, the best onewe stayed in on our trip!!
