Review 1：It was impecabily clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful. The shower was amazing. Everything you could want from a hotel room.
Review 2：Our room was above the brasserie and was quite noisy -staff voices could be heard well after it closed. No traffic noise though.

Review 16：The inn is a little ways out in the English countryside, and we drove through hedgerow lined narrow little lanes to get there. Once we were there it was like magic! Wonderful food - dinner and breakfast - and the accommodations were GREAT!!

Review 20：Two things I look for when I'm travelling is a comfortable bed, and white fluffy towels. I was well served at The Haughmond - they had both and a lot more. The room was very pleasant and the food served in the restaurant was superb. I noticed a food review framed on the wall, and The Haughmond has won awards and I'm not surprised.

Review 22：Great room- very quiet, comfy bed,enormous soft towels and a well stocked drinks tray. Fantastic food - breakfast lasted us until evening meal, lovely home baked bread and English Breakfast. Evening meals were fantastic. Also very reasonable. staff efficient and friendly.
Review 23：We didn't like the fact there was nowhere comfortable to sit in the bar in the evenings as the bar area was a restaurant and so once we had finished our meal there was no lounge area to sit and have a drink. There were no shelves in shower and nowhere in bathroom to put things on apart from a very small shelf over the basin.

It was half an hour before we were given a menu and another half hour before we received our first course.The poor service was acknowledged by the management and we received a free bottle of wine which was appreciated.However, we would have preferd good service to good wine.
Review 26：The quality of the room and the hotel in general was excellent. Everything about the presentation of the Hotel was well considered and quality. The breakfast was good and so were the facilities in the room.
Review 27：No hot water on night 1 (apologies given), virtually no sleep on night 2 due to the noise of restaurant users (a party) leaving (apologies and a bottle of wine given). In hindsight our booking should NOT have been taken, too much noise for anyone to sleep through.

Review 31：Lovely relaxed atmosphere during our stay, all staff were attentive and friendly. The room was compact , but suitable, bathroom adequate, bath towels huge. Very quiet location ideal for what we were looking for. The cost overall was good value.
Review 32：I wanted to find somewhere nice to stop en route to Snowdonia from London. My girlfriend and I felt the instant warm welcome and the cosy environment the owners have clearly sought to achieve. The staff/management/owners had the perfect balance of professionalism and engaging charm. Something you wouldn't necessarily expect from somewhere far more expensive I might add. The room was newly furbished with very tasteful tributes to the Deer and country theme that runs throughout. There are too many lacklustre hotels/b&bs out there so this place really stands out. My gf works in hospitality at a top notch central London venue and isn't easily impressed. So I scored lots of points here. Also the surroundings are vast countryside with sweeping views of rolling headlands. Lovely country retreat and I wish them every success.
Review 33：Not a real problem but, there isn't any public transport so you'd need to get a taxi from Shrewsbury station if you arrive by train.
Review 34：A warm welcome greeted us even though the bar was quite busy. We were shown to our room, it was lovely with everything you could need. Tray of tea and coffee and chilled water all ready for us. Lots of information contained in a book on the side to aid our stay, including the wifi code and TV instructions. The bathroom was small but perfectly formed, great shower, loved the rain shower showerhead! Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, good choice, something for every taste. We only stayed one night to visit family a short distance away. Would defnatley stay again.
Review 35：The only slight negative about our stay was the noise from people leaving the pub late at night. But this only lasted for a few minutes while a group were leaving.

Review 37：I can't fault the haugmond, diamond taxis from there are overpriced we got charged £16 to go into shrewsbury on the way back we used another taxi firm only charged us £8 and this was evening.

Review 43：The rooms are above the pub bar so you can hear voices and general chatter until late. But it's hardly a noisy pub: no live music or juke box, just general chat chat. Something to be aware of if you fancy an early night and find even a low level of noise difficult.
Review 44：What a perfect B&B! We had a lovely weekend staying here while at a local folk festival. The rooms are first rate with big comfy beds, fantastic drench showers and thick carpets. The breakfast was exceptional. Choice of cooked options, including lots of vegetarian choice for my husband. Fresh bread to cut as thick as you liked for toast. Well stocked buffet. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Easy parking behind the pub. Quiet village location. All in all a lovely retreat.
