Reviews for Villa Christina

Review 1:Wifi is only strong if you're in the patio.

Review 2:The location is excellent. It's 5 mins walk away from the new harbour. The lady is very friendly and helpful. We took her advice to hire a moped to see the island. It was stunning. I recommend it. The quality and the interior of the room is good. It's individually decorated. Well done!

Review 3:The only thing I didn't like: I had to stay only two nights.

Review 4:Most friendly accommodation. The stuff was eager to provide any information and guidance concerning my stay on the island. Clean, quiet, cozy room, with a lovely outside garden and all these at a surprisingly low cost.

Review 5:Perfect position, amazing service from the staff. Even though we had late check in, the property owner was so kind and gentle. We truly hope to go back there!

Review 6:Very happy about this hotel! As citizen of Spetses I was looking for a nice place to stay...happy to have it found. Worth for money, fridge on room, very central and close to harbour and market (2 minutes from Dapia), nice staff, very friendly people who are happy to help you! Perfect!

Review 7:The hotel was very expensive for the standard- I was actually shocked! Only 1 small bar of soap provided for 4 days- no other toiletries. The breakfast was extremely poor- no fruit, yoghurt or boiled eggs as seems standard else where. The room was very dark and very old- the hotel has 'traditional' style interiors but compared to other traditional places I've stayed in in Greece it simply seemed unloved: things needed to be fixed- cracked tiles, holes in wall, faded furnishings, lights falling out of sockets, dripping tap, lights that simply didn't work. I would not stay here again.

Review 8:The courtyard was pretty and had a lovely atmosphere where you could meet other guests if you wanted to. The air conditioner was excellent!! Angilica was friendly and helpful with information about the island. The location is good. The towels were really soft! The main special mention must go to Anna who keeps the rooms clean and serves breakfast: she welcomed me so warmly and was really attentive during my whole stay. She would plug the mosquito zapper into the electric socket in the evenings if I was out. She knew I didn't eat what was served for breakfast and I was buying my own things- she would bring me fruit from her own personal stock! Anna is an asset to the hotel! Thank you Anna.

Review 9:The wi-fi was often overloaded to the point that it's usefulness was in doubt! Outside of the hotel, the 'only half-open' feel to Spetses, and all the excuses given.

Review 10:Helpful staff, a nice room, and a very reasonable Greek breakfast. Being met at the port without having asked for it. Anna, for making an old man feel a little special.

Review 11:Lovely to be met at the ferry and accommodate our late check in. Very welcoming with a wealth of local knowledge and tips for our stay. Great central location.

Review 12:Delightful.personnel, offering a truly personal service. Lovely garden. Only 5 minutes walk from the port, and the owner came to meet us so not even a hassle to find the place. What service!

Review 13:WiFi only outside the rooms.

Review 14:The hotel was very nice, quiet and clean. If you are looking for a place only for spending a night or couple, it's a very good choice.

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:Welcoming helpful staff, beautiful shady courtyard with 3 lemon trees and an olive tree, pleasant quiet room, everything we needed for a relaxing stay, very reasonable price

Review 17:Beautiful room in a traditional house with inside garden. The housekeeper was really friendly and gave us a lot of useful information for the island.

Review 18:The noise of mopeds is constant, and can make sleep difficult. NB This is a problem across Spetses, not just at Villa Christina. Breakfast okay, but strange to serve big thick slices of cake - I think there are other things people want to eat in the morning.

Review 19:Very friendly place with charming courtyard. Away from noisy centre of Spetses, but only a few minutes to walk.

Review 20:Owner met us at the port, gave us a choice of 3rooms and provided us with our info for our next stop . Very helpful. Rented scooters for the day to circumnavigate the island. Good fun

Review 21:The shower is a little small but since it was clean, it didnt matter as much.

Review 22:Simple, basic, clean with AC at very reasonable prices. I'd go back again!

Review 23:Its a little uphill up a steep slope and getting there certainly got the heart pumping.

Review 24:The staff were amazing. The boss was there to pick me up from the jetty when my ferry arrived. Very helpful with directions, ideas and options. Always with a smile and made me feel very at home. Allowed me to check out late as I had a late ferry. The breakfast girl had limited English, but was very friendly and warm despite. I can't recommend this place enough.

Review 25:Staff was very friendly and very fluent in english. This beautiful place is exactly what you need to enjoy Spetses. Excellent location, breakfast served until late and a super beautiful garden where you can enjoy some rest before further exploring the island. Looking forward to booking for next summer !

Review 26:We have booked to Villa Christina but they gave us a room in another hotel nearby! (pansion Pavlos). The room in general and especially the bathroom needs renovation. Also, there is no privacy at all since people pass outside the window to get to their rooms... When you cross the corridor you can see the other guests in their beds... The hotel is very basic and is not reccomended.

Review 27:The location is good and quiet.

Review 28:It is not 50m from the port maybe 300 meters uphill, rooms too small even if you take a triple room. Showers are 60cm x 60cm the smallest in the planet, breakfast ? Don't even go there. At the time when we stayed the hotel was full and I strugled to sleep for 2 nights because some of the guests were drinking in the courtyard till early hours of the morning very noisy .

Review 29:The owners and the cleaning lady not to forget the kittens in the garden.

Review 30:I did not like the visible mold at the ceiling and at the shower curtain in the bathroom and the smell of mold while entering the room. They really have to take care of this issue. If this issue is fixed, then the room is ok/basic.

Review 31:The location was nice and the nice little yard.

Review 32:Angeliki who works there is a fantastic lady and she was always so willing to help with any requested information. She made us feel like being at home.

Review 33:Exceptionally welcoming and helpful. All staff couldn't do enough to help in any way required. Even recieved a personal demonstration and classes regarding the making of Frappe. !!! A small quaint hotel with 6 star friendliness.

Review 34:Angela could not have been more helpful during our stay at Villa Christina. Most of the rooms are around a little courtyard where breakfast is served sitting under lemon trees. The rooms are simple and clean with ceiling fans as well as AC. The breakfasts are simple and include Angela's cake- different and delicious every morning! You must try her frappe - it's fantastic! We were also very well looked after by Sandra who works along side Angela. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk up the hill from the harbour and was lovely and quiet. We would certainly recommend it as a great place to stay- we will be going back!Jane and Steve

Review 35:We had family apartment for two nights which was just too small for two adults and two teenagers. It was tucked away downstairs and a bit musty and airless plus the bathroom was a bit stinky (no ventilation). They didn't service the room at all and didn't give us enough towels for 4 people and we had to ask for more toilet paper.

Review 36:Short walk from the port. Quiet location. Nice terrace and garden. You should ensure you get an upstairs room.

Review 37:Signage to the location. None of the streets are marked in Spetses and a fellow traveler spent most of her evening looking for her (alternate) hotel. The walls are thick between rooms and air conditioning works well. The courtyard is pleasant and beautiful (colors as in the pictures) however depending on the number and type if the other guests, it may not be as tranquil. An early morning would probably guarantee solitude. It is a decent walk from the port / main street, which takes away the noisy rattle of the steady stream of mopeds whizzing around the island. Easy walking distance to several good restaurants and shops. The owner allowed us to hang our clothes on her line which was good after the beach - all set for the next day.

Review 38:The owner was really helpfull with everything and the service was exellent. Good location, really nice old island house. Excellent price!

Review 65:Angela went out of her way to look after our needs and sorted out a minor booking problem when we arrived related to room allocations. Washing our race clothes was a real bonus! Good wifi and service with a smile.

Review 66:Petra and Angelika were wonderfully welcoming and helpful throughout. We were only able to stay one night on Spetses but they enabled us to make the most of it and we hope to return to stay at Villa Christina again.

Review 67:Amazing family owned villa! Gorgeous room and perfect breakfast delivered to our room. Great location in the small island of Spetses. Will definitely be coming back!

Review 68:I am not sure why so much hatred in some of the comments below. I literally struggle to find something bad to say about this place! I am definitely going back to Villa Cristina!

Review 69:This was the 5th time I was staying at Villa Cristina and this place is an absolute gem amongst hundreds of hotels and Rooms to Let on the island of Spetses. The owner Petros is a real legend! He is very accomodating with any of his guests' needs. He even goes beyond his way to make sure his guests have a fantastic time. The rooms are very clean, spacious enough and the value for money you get is hard to beat. Overall a fantastic experience with a fantastic owner. I highly recommend this place!

Review 70:The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is located at a quite spot, yet not far from the town center. Hotel was very clean, comfortable and quite. The owner is a very helpful and pleasant person.

Review 71:Very small room, no balcony, far away from the old scenic port, no wi-fi in the room, no reception. Very small bathroom and shower. Seems much bigger and comfortable at the photos

Review 72:Quite clean

Review 73:The bathroom was tiny and not properly cleaned during our staying (thankfully, we only stayed for 2 nights).

Review 74:The location was very good, at the heart of the town of Spetses. The room was big enough for all 4 of us, there was also a small kitchenette and a fridge. The yard was lovely. Room service was provided as well.

Review 79:the nice and cosy yard with the flowers, the cute room, the polite and helpful owner, the walking diastance to the port. I would highly recommend it and I intend to visit again.

Review 80:I was met on arrival and escorted to the pension. It was only a few minutes walk from the harbour but in a quiet and peaceful location. Staff were helpful, friendly and courteous and the room was clean and tidy.

Review 81:the room and bathroom was clean but there was a light smell from the sink. We were the first for this session so maybe this was the problem.

Review 82:The owner is very helpfull and hospital! Close to the main port and market. Fair price.

Review 83:Easy going hosts, Angeliki & Petros always smiley and helpful.
