Reviews for Rose Cottage
Review 1:From the moment we stepped into Rose Cottage we knew that we had chosen very well but didn’t know how well! Rebecca greeted us very warmly and, within minutes , she had made us tea and offered us a slice of cake. The accommodation was most certainly excellent. We have stayed in lots of B and Bs over the last 40 years but this one was the best ever. Never before have we had a lounge as well as a delightful bedroom with such a comfortable bed. We so enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The décor is superb throughout and the accommodation is spotless. The breakfast was delicious. We promise to return in the spring or summer of 2016. It will probably be our most memorable B and B ever! Thank you, Rebecca ……
Review 2:Easily the prettiest B&B we've ever seen. The cottage is very beautiful, cute and amazingly decorated. The flat we were in is so massive that we joked with my boyfriend that even if we were put in the bathroom to sleep we would still be happy in terms of space and decoration. The flat comprises of a downstairs cosy living room and an upstairs bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom is also very nicely decorated and has both a bathtub and a shower - it's bigger than the flat we're renting at home, lol! The bedroom was also so beautiful with its attic-like ceiling and the big, comfortable bed. Rebecca, our host, was very friendly, welcoming and warm. We really felt like we stayed at a friend's house. Our breakfast was also amazing, with eggs from the rescue hens she keeps in the garden. In terms of the practical stuff, the cottage is very easy to find and there is ample on-street parking right outside. A lovely stay that was too short, we should go back and stay longer :)
Review 3:Rose Cottage is a lovely, comfortable property & I was made very welcome by the lady owner. A fabulous breakfast - with eggs laid by chickens who live in the garden. Perfect.
Review 4:We liked the fact that we had our own living room which led out onto a quiet garden, and we also had our bedroom and private bathroom. My wife and I picked Rose cottage because it looked very cosy and just what we wanted from a b&b. From the moment we arrived for our two night stay Rebecca the owner made us extremely welcome and nothing was a problem for her. The rooms were clean and warm and the breakfasts Rebecca cooked for us were fantastic with a great choice. We would certainly go back again and would recommend any one else to stay there.
Review 5:Liked everything :-)
Review 6:Warm friendly welcome by Rebecca who could not have been a beeter host. Lovely homely accomodation in quiet peacefull surroundings.
Review 7:Not a bad experience as such, but we would have liked some fresh fruit to be on offer for breakfast.
Review 8:The old house had a unique atmosphere. It was great to have our own suite of rooms, including a comfortable sitting area with plenty of guidebooks etc. Rebecca was a thoughtful host and provided a good breakfast featuring tasty eggs from her own hens.
Review 9:Lovely cosy cottage with our own living room & large bathroom. Rebecca couldn't have been more welcoming & nothing was too much trouble to make our stay so relaxing & enjoyable. Very quiet location next to a friendly pub which served great food. Will definitely be back!
Review 10:We loved Rebecca. It was like staying with family. We liked the authentic English cottage experience. It was clean and comfortable with every we needed. Rebecca served us beautiful full English breakfasts with fresh eggs and vegetables from her garden. A very nice pub 2 doors down.
Review 11:A very friendly landlady who really makes you feel welcome and a very cosy room (two rooms actually). We regretted so much that we had only booked for one night because we were travelling and we had to head on. We would certainly love to come back to this great place.
Review 12:Found staircase rather steep& access from bedroom to bathroom. Support rail in shower cubicle would have been helpful.

Rebecca is warm, friendly and the perfect hostess who goes out of her way to ensure your stay with her is perfect in every way. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and has wonderful character, you have your own private living accomodation with sofa, TV etc as well as a beautiful bedroom and large private bathroom, all beautifully furnished. I cannot speak more highly of Rebecca and I shall definitely be returning. Thank you :-)

The decor and comfort are so luxurious and the fact that we had our own living room to relax in too was lovely. We were given a large pot of tea, coffee and biscuits It was so lovely to have your own sitting room to relax in The bedroom is a good size and was very comfortable The bathroom is very large, with a free standing bath and large shower cubicle There was a good choice for breakfast, including eggs from her own hens in the garden.
