Reviews for L'Oustau de Moungran

Review 1:Everything! This very old house exudes so much atmosphere and is so peaceful. We didn't want to leave. The location is great to. Great for history buffs or just those who want to relax in the Provence region.

Review 2:Great place to visit Les Baux de Provence and surrounding areas. We simply loved everything: the garden, the swimmingpool, the politeness of the host; our breakfast under the olive tree, the special feel so that in two days we got to know all the other guests. You're out of town, but this in our case was a plus: it meant peace and tranquillity, and plenty parking space. We'll be back!

Review 3:Not a bad experience but would have preferred a fixed shower rather than hand held. It would be advisable to have a car during your stay as the village is 15-20 minutes walk.Quite pleasant when the weather is OK but would not be good in the rain !

Review 4:Friendliness of proprietor, nothing too much trouble. Overall cleanliness, charming situation ,beautiful gardens and pool. Excellent aircon. Our room had it's own patio and was very private whilst close to the pool and the dining area.

Review 5:Wi-fi was free and easy to access, but had a difficult time using it in the room....must have been those meter thick stone walls!! :) Worked fine out in the courtyard however.

Review 6:Friendly staff and excellent location. Had a great room with a small terrace, looking out into the courtyard with the pool. Couldnt ask for better. Room nicely appointed, comfortable.

Review 7:We enjoyed long leisurely breakfasts with croissants and delicious home made jams outside in the quiet sunshine. The house is a short walk from town where there are a number of good restaurants. It is perfect to use as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Recommended for anyone wanting to stay in an authentic provençal home.

Review 8:About 1/2 mile from town centre, where the nearest restaurants are, along a poorly-lit road. Best to get the car out for evening meals.

Review 9:Old house, genuine Provencal atmosphere as reflected in the Provencal name, meaning "My Grandfather's House", and still in the family. Very quiet. Lovely pool.

Review 10:We would have preferred to have a door on our bathroom, a sliding one would have been possible despite the lack of space.

Review 11:What a beautiful house! We loved the décor of our room, and the peacefulness of the setting. Being able to laze about by the pool after a day in the middle of the tourist crowds was blissful. The other guests were also very quiet, which suited us! The owner was very welcoming and we were able to get there in the middle of the afternoon, which is a plus as well, as most of the chambres d'hôtes we used during our holiday had a check-in time of 5pm, which at times we thought was a bit late.

Review 12:Tips for the owner: - Put a couple of parasols at the pool. Reading a book in full sun too long is not enjoyable. We would have liked some more shadow. - Pillows on the sunloungers are more pleasant.

Review 13:- very charming and quiet location near the center of the village - friendly host - good breakfast - neat room

Review 14:This is a pretty chambre d'hote in an ideal position in Provence. The local village has a very good selection of restaurants with varying prices. In our top three of places to stay from past experience.

Review 15:there is really nothing

Review 16:wounderfull surrounding, homemade jam for breakfast

Review 17:Hand held shower;

Review 18:Nothing to mention

Review 19:Quiet and authentic countryside location, parking at the property, 10 min walk to excellent restaurants (Au Bistrot Marin was superb with its food and service)

Review 20:It was a little hard to find on a small street at the edge of town. And it had a small sign, a bit out of the way.

Review 21:This B&B is charming, rustic, comfortable and clean. Only a few minutes walk to the town center and it's many restaurants.

Review 22:We loved the charm of this very French countryside B&B. The ladyowner is very helpful and friendly and speaks English. Each room has itsown little terrace with table and 2 chairs just off the pool. Beautifulsetting with gardens. Breakfast was very good. Location is just 1 mileor so from downtown. Excellent value.

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:The accomidation was very comfortable. The pool was excellent as was the breakfast in the morning. Great place to wake up and start the day and equally to retire to nd relax at the end of the day.

Review 25:Small points really, but entrance path a little overgrown, lovely lavender in bloom, but makes it difficult to carry luggage. Room a bit small.

Review 26:Very pleasant, staff friendly.

Review 27:Room was crowded, bathroom facilities old and very low maintained. Nobathroom door. No knobs, handles or hooks to hang personal clothes /bags. In the toilet there wasn't even a handle to place toilet paperon. It was on the floor... The towels were stiffed and unpleasant andsmelled old and weired. There was no furniture (no table or armchair oranything that helps you feel comfortable). Poor to non existing internetconnection (although they claim to have). Lousy breakfast, no variety, nothing special. Do yourselves a favor and look for something else.

Review 28:The parking space nearby and the silence of the area

Review 29:Wi-fi didn't work in our room.

Review 30:A refreshing swim in the pool after we arrived on a very hot day.

Review 31:Very poor Wi-Fi

Review 32:Nice, clean, quiet family owned B&B

Review 33:None.

Review 34:Setting.

Review 35:The breakfast was not as reach as you could expect this type of hotel.

Review 36:we came 2 hours later after the official check-in time and they waited for us.
