Reviews for Elounda Beach Hotel
Review 1:Spa was disappointed... It's a place with 2 small pools without sauna, hydro massage and other standard services. But the place has recreation area with a fantastic view on the sea where you can relax body and mind. And the massages and treatment are on very good level and they use a good cosmetic as well. So, keep it in mind if you are going to this place mostly for spa.
Review 2:Good level of service, fantastic sea view, tasty breakfasts and numerous restaurants for enjoying dinner.
Review 3:With many hotel choices in Crete, the Elounda Beach Hotel was an excellent choice and worthy of being part of the "Leading Hotels of the World". The property is exquisite. Located beachfront makes for an easy swim in the gorgeous, calm Aegean Sea. The rooms are beautifully designed with modern amenities. I particularly enjoyed the large pocket doors leading to a private patio to take in the incredible sea view, along with jacuzzi tub and steam shower. There are multiple accommodation choices (the private seafront villas are incredible!!!) The resort has numerous dining choices from casual to upscale, so you don't have to leave the property to find a wonderful meal. The daily buffet was awesome. It's only 5 minutes to local restaurants and shops (Thea Restaurant in town was amazing and inexpensive). The grounds are beautifully landscaped. There's a cool open-air bar/lounge with great ambience at the end of the property's private pier. An array of water sports are offered onsite. The staff is helpful and friendly. I travel all over the world and enjoy staying at luxury properties. Elounda Beach resort is a memorable property, whether you're on a honeymoon, family vacation or traveling with a group of friends. Highly recommended and great value for the cost.
Review 4:We were half board so our evening meal was included. Had we been paying for our evening meals on top, we thought the prices were not great value. That said, it was tasty and the location was super.
Review 5:Amazing quality
Review 6:It felt as if the hotel was a little under staffed. Service lacked attention to detail and you could die of thirst waiting for your drinks to be served around the pool.
Review 7:The hotel design is lovely and the setting is beautiful. Lots of lovely private swimming pools and the beach is perfect.
Review 8:The Hotel has an excellent beach. The room was spacious and well designed. The staff were customer focussed. There is a lot to do for a variety of age groups. I will definitely go back
Review 9:Smoking at the table during courses at fine dining restaurant . High number of Russian visitors who perhaps are not familiar with what is usual european behaviour . Potential medium term issue for hotel management . Compared with my two previous visits Hotel appears to have become increasingly reliant on Russian visitors , some of whom are charming , but overall whose standard of courtesy and behaviour are not consistent with what one generally experiences in a 5 star hotel .
Review 10:First rate location and staff who work heard to give a good visitor experience. Some stunning accommodation but price reflects that
Review 11:Beautiful views especially from the bungalows, service excellent, staff delightful, the breads at breakfast were historic! Lots to do do , spa, swimming in huge pool, water sports tennis etc
Review 12:Beds weren't terribly comfortable, but not horrible. You had to keep signing in to get the wifi which was a little annoying
Review 13:We had a great experience at the Elounda Hotel & Villas! We would highly recommend the seaview villas, which are right on the water, with a large deck overlooking the beautiful Meditaranean! They are a bit more pricey, but definitely worth it. The staff was terrific. They were all very friendly, spoke great English, remembered our names, and our drink preferences, and were very accommodating with any and all requests. We would also highly recommend Ivan (in the scuba shop) and all the great water activities. My son went scuba diving and said it was great, and my daughter and I took a scuba lesson from Ivan. he was fun to work with, and we felt very comfortable on our first scuba outing. The hotel grounds are lovely, and there are plenty of places to spread out. You spend time at the pool or the beach, both of which are gorgeous. There are also lots of water activities, such as jet skis, paddle boards, water skiing, etc. It is definitely kid friendly, but certainly quiet enough for couples.
Review 14:The water sports facilities are run by a separate company which are not complimentary to guests...not even the non-motorized things such as stand-up paddle. This fact should be made known more clearly. The food prices are a little high even by Swiss standards. Luckily there is the 25€ discount per person off the dinner bill.
Review 15:The breathtaking view and colour scheme of the region. Curteous staff made it effortless to ask for things. Luxurious accommodations throughout the resort facilities, fantastic wine and food selection, but most of all, the Chenot Spa!
Review 16:- the televisions are outdated for such a nice resort. - if you keep windows open be prepared for insects
Review 17:The bungalow was nice and romantic and had more privacy for a couple. We are a family with a baby though, so it was too dark and small for us. We extended our stay and are now at the bigger hotel suite which faces the pool and is at ground level so we can walk out onto lawn. The facilities are beautiful.
Review 18:Wifi was difficult to work.
Review 19:Very nice location, sea, food and the staff was extremely friendly! Lots of activities on offer and breakfast buffet was second to none! A great stay at the elounda beach hotel and will be sure to come again!
Review 20:None.
Review 21:Great facilities, providing privacy if required; great food and wine; warm Greek hospitality. Charming location!
Review 22:Our first room
Review 23:The beach.
Review 24:A few issues with room.. The door lock and bathroom plug. It was sorted when requested..
Review 25:The location was wonderful. The restaurant very good
Review 26:Having to leave
Review 27:We have enjoyed the serenity of the hotel and the professionalism of the staff their customer care is excellent
Review 28:Excellent choice in all respects! Highly recommended as in addition to the facilities, this hotel has excellent private beaches.
Review 29:Its so family place .. So many old people doesnt work for honeymooners also the food is very very very very BAD AND (boaring!!!)
Review 30:The place is huge and the beach is very nice with all the activities
Review 31:- lack of entertainment program (national music, dances, etc.) - sauna was closed - price for jet ski was very high
Review 32:- sparkling wine every morning - sufficient parking place - various types of beaches
Review 33:Only medium quality of food creations. In that (price-)catagory one would expect something different. A reason for that may be that there is no half pension and probably no executive chef in charge.
Review 34:Excellent, almost magic location. Very friendly staff.
Review 35:The hotel has to change the pricing of dining, activities and spa. They are much too high. That is why they don't receive the best rating. The image for the value for money is low. Though we took Booking.com's half board option and this saved us some of that negative image. They should offer these "all in one" packages. They gave us the spa discount privilege. But it was too expensive even with the discount. We came here 17 years ago, at which time most of what they offered was these package deals. Those are the times the hotel won "the best" awards within Leading Hotels. The hotel should know that even wealthy customers are always comparing prices.
Review 36:We were given excellent rooms. The location is great. Staff are nice.
Review 37:No animation programm neither for kids no for adults in the evenings..
Review 38:Clear water, nice sandy beach, beautiful views, comfort rooms( we lived in island on wateredge) the food is quite nice in restaurants.. Such category of room gives you privacy..
Review 39:Overpriced restaurants
Review 40:Very well clean complex Nice location Friendly staff
