Reviews for Villa Aimée
Review 1:On our trip through Auvergne beginning of October we spent a night in this beautiful villa, had a gorgeous suite and in the morning a great breakfast with fresh croissants and great homemade confiture among other goodies.,Lila and Paula were perfect hosts. We can highly recommend Villa Aimee and its owner.
Review 2:A stay at Villa Aimee is a great experience while visiting Vals Les Bains and the Ardeche. Friendly wecoming hosts, home cooked meals and pleasant surroundings make a stay at Villa Aimee a pleasure.
Review 3:Nothing bad to say, I was a littl confused about the forks at dinner time as I usually have my fork on the right and knife on the left, but y'know each to there own :)
Review 4:The rooms and breakfast was perfect, but my favourite part was how welcoming the grandmother Pauline was, I felt right at home in an instant :)
Review 5:The Villa is located in a beautiful part of the region and the views from the room are simply sublime. The staff offered me a warmhearted welcome and were more than happy to see to my every need. Could not recommend higher.
Review 6:very rich breakfast compared to French standards & warm welcome. beautiful views on the city. cosy villa, garden and pool. highly recommendable b&b!
Review 7:There's nothing not to like.
Review 8:We loved the Villa Aimee. Set up on the hill, a view of the lush valley, the sound of the river, an elegant haven with a lovely Aussie-French family to welcome you. Very comfortable place, quality furnishings and decor.
Review 9:A beautiful and warmhearted bed and breakfast in a very special part of France. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. I was upgraded to the Mediterranean room on arrival with a Spa bath at no extra charge. A special mention to the two young Brits who were working at the B&B; they were a very charming and helpful pair!
Review 10:Villa Aimee is a gorgeous villa with a gorgeous view- the staff are relaxed and friendly, and the room was fantastic! Clean, comfortable and well equipped for all your needs. There's parking right outside the villa, which is a big bonus!
Review 11:I had an extremely relaxing stay in this gorgeous villa, situated in an amazing part of France. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. Would highly recommend!!
Review 12:Motorbikes be aware the hairpins to the parking require a little experience to be driven. Train well in the surrounding paths and cols. Some wine helps to get the best swing but don't overdue
Review 13:We were very well located with excellent rooms and breakfast. Helpful friendly owners. We felt as being in the own family. There is nothing negative to tell. The house radiates the spirit and culture of Europe. The owners add Australian happiness and joy to an excellent cocktail of taste and easy living spirit.
Review 14:The B&B is easy to find with signs up from a long way which are easy to follow. Inside it was lovely which was appreciated after a long walk through the forest.
Review 15:I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night in the Papillon and wish we could have stayed more! The villa is beautiful and the staff goes beyond to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. The breakfast and dinner also grabbed my attention and totally was worth the price. Over all the stay was very good even for us young travelers.
Review 16:Been to the region several times before and this is by far the best chambre d'hotes we've stayed in. It's a beautiful property and from our Papillion room, we had a fantastic view out across Vals les Bains below. Excelled on all fronts: delicious food (dinner was amazing both for quality and for value!), great location, really warm welcome from Leila the owner, everything kept impressively clean and tidy. Could not have asked for a better relaxing weekend away and will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
Review 17:Nothing.
Review 18:I cannot speak highly enough about Villa Aimee, Beautiful, charming old house, lovely surroundings, fantastic welcome from the owner. We thoroughly recommend eating in as the food is amazing. There are also places to eat within 5 minutes walking if you prefer. Loved the room and walk in shower. Secure parking. We will return.
Review 19:The most important consideration for us was to have table d'hotes. We requested this for each of our stays in four establishments and, following Booking.com's advice, phoned to confirm with each of theproprietors. We were assured that a meal would be available at each onebut, on arriving at Villa Aimee, were told that we could not have a mealthat night as we were only two people and the host needed to go out to ameeting. We were told that there were plenty of places to eat in thetown. However, I have a knee problem and could not manage the trip downto the town and back up the hill twice in one evening. There was nowhereto eat early and so we had to buy a few things from the supermarket andhave our second picnic of the day. This is the first time we have beenlet down by our hosts (and Booking.com since we followed their advice intelephoning).
Review 20:The breakfast was good. We were upgraded to a suite (although notgiven a choice)
Review 21:This villa is great, however it should be mentioned that there are too many stairs so if you have mobility problems, it's better to find another accommodation. Secondly, the breakfast was not worth 10€, good selection of jams but you would expect to have something more substantial to have enough energy for the day!
Review 22:The atmosphere of the villa is great, you feel like you are staying at your friends' place. The views are amazing!
Review 23:Access to the villa for our low slung car was a little tricky!
Review 24:The welcome received by our hosts was second to none. Such lovely people who provided an exceptional breakfast and evening meal. The views from our room were spectacular and the town a great base to visit the area. Thank you for a superb stay, we will be back!
Review 25:Everything great the meal was also goog
Review 26:Great welcoming, super clean, big and beautiful rooms
Review 27:The amazing view and the incredible staff.
Review 28:Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Excellent facilities and delicious breakfast
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:Everything, the room, the view from the room, really friendly welcome
Review 31:The welcome was warm with nothing being too much trouble. It was great to have the opportunity to meet other guests over excellent meals.
Review 32:Beautiful room, stunning views from room and pool, friendly and helpful owner and staff. Wonderful breakfast. Strongly recommended
Review 33:A Perfect view in a perfect location, a beautiful house and wonderful staff.
Review 34:I've stayed at a few bed and breakfasts, this was my first one in France and by far the best one I've ever stayed at. Our room was really cozy and beautiful, so was our view. Awesome croissants with our breakfast each morning and our dinner was amazing. Three courses with cheese, wine and dessert. Such a great time with the owner Leila as well.
Review 35:Our stay at Villa Aimee went above and beyond our expectations! We stayed in the papillon room and woke up to an incredible view of Vals Les Bains. It wasn't quite summertime, but our room stayed warm and cozy. Everything else was great too: food, the area, cleanliness, friendliness. We highly recommend Villa Aimee!
Review 36:Perfectly located for discovering this quaint village....which we came across while traveling to the south. It was a nice surprise, a quaint thermal city with excellent restaurants! Great decor, warm rooms...which equally match the warm welcome we received. Leila, Christophe and the boys are absolutely lovely and did everything possible to make sure that we took the time to discover the area...well, worth the visit!
Review 37:My stay in the Pappillon room was wonderful. It was warm and cozy, very clean, and nicely decorated. It was in a great location and the views were fantastic. The gourmet breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were lovely! Everything was done to the highest standard. Their dog Nala is a sweetheart.
Review 38:Fabulous accomodation with incredibly friendly hosts Leila & Christophe. We reserved the Papilion & were upgraded to the romantic Mediterranean room. Lovely & warm with Spa bath & breakfast inbed. Location amazing with easy private parking. Delicious gourmet diner. Spent the day skiing just 40 mins away. Can't wait to go back.
Review 39:While the Villa Aimee was a very interesting experience, the arrangements as to access were somewhat chaotic.
Review 40:The young man, Andrew, who was looking after visitors was brilliant.
Review 41:Some very tight hair-pin bends on the narrow road up to the chambres d'hotes. My (large but not huge) car needed to do a three point turn on two of them. Car parking space was also a bit tight.
Review 42:Friendly welcome. Clean comfortable room. Lovely bathroom. 5 minutes walk down into town.
Review 43:Walk up the hill to villa aimee, but you get used to it. Pool could becleaner, filter pump should be on all the time.
Review 44:The size of the bedroom, comfort and size of the bed, shower room, attention to detail.
Review 45:Access by foot as well as by car is quite steep. The room t° was below comfort level. This was most inconvenient in the (beautiful) bathroom. The 2nd day we were offered an electric heather but it would have been better if the central heating had been reactivated.
Review 46:The friendliness, easy going style of the owner.Very flexible attitude. We were offered a very nice upgrade from room to suite. Tastefully decorated rooms.
Review 47:Lovely place to vacation. A perfect get away. Service and accommodations were flawless.
Review 48:location attention atmosphere
