Reviews for Livadi
Review 1:We contacted the hotel 3 days before arrival with ferry times and had nocorrespondence at all. When we arrived, no one was at the port to greetus like they had for the other places we stayed in the islands. I hadsaved a map in my phone of the hotels location, so we went there and itwasn't anywhere in sight. We asked some people and no one had heardof it. We managed to get someone to call the hotel for us, and the hotelowner left us with a message saying to take a taxi because it's onthe other side of town. The 2 minute taxi ride cost us €5, whichisn't a lot, but it could have been a five minute walk if the hotelhad marked their location properly on the website. It is on the completeopposite side of the town to what it says. By this time we had been offthe ferry for over an hour trying to sort out where our accommodationwas. When we arrived, the hotel owner completely ignored us and spoke tothe taxi driver instead. He eventually showed us the room, said"good", took my passport and left with out saying anythingelse. Later, I went and asked for my passport back and if it waspossible to use a kettle to make a coffee, but the guy didn'tunderstand, even with my guidebook and broken Greek, but managed to tellme in English to come back later when his wife was back. I came backlater on, and she was so rude! Her response was "no it's not onthe booking so you can't have a kettle". I thought okthat's fair enough, and asked if I could have my passport back, andshe said she was keeping it until we paid them. I can only imagine thetroubles they are having with their business if they have to threaten tokeep people's passports until they are paid. We started to feelpretty annoyed with the whole situation, so we went for a bit of a walk, and by the time we had come back they had come into our room, and openedthe blinds up (we closed them because of the heat), and turned off theair conditioner...
Review 2:The verandah & quiet location
Review 3:It was very difficult to find the hotel. The best you can do it to take a taxi from the port. It takes 3 minutes, but you can not find without help.
Review 4:Quiet place, close to the beach and the village
Review 5:There is no address. The place is quite impossible to find, no one inSkopelos Town know this place and the owner doesn't speak english atall, just greek, so If you have a problem it is your problem. Thereisn't Wi-fi and one day we had no water.
