Reviews for Regina Hotel

Review 1:The historic house has faded charm.

Review 2:The location is ideal and the owner and staff couldn't do enough. We had the top floor suite that has a large terrace and balcony all round with fantastic views. Each room had windows on two sides so we the air-conditioning was a luxury.

Review 3:Well and friendly received by the owner and her in-laws. Lovely room with two balconies and views to the harbour. 5 min. from the harbour and very quiet.

Review 4:Wifi wasn't the best, but that's not the end of the world.

Review 5:Old school charm, nice traditional furniture in lobby etc. Elderly Greek landlady was friendly, as were the cleaners. Location is absolutely great.

Review 6:Problems with electricity, fuses went out and one was defective/broken reset tap. Also the staff tried to start cleaning for the next customer before 12 am when we had not checked out and we still was present at the rooms. But admitted that this was not correct and left for us to finalise our packing and leave.

Review 7:Kindly owners, exceptional view from a large terrasse, clean rooms, and a great breakfast.

Review 8:We had a two bedroomed flat on the top floor with a roof terrace with an incredible view over the harbour, towards the town and over to Alonnisos. Genuinely warm Greek hospitality from Vicky and her family. Simple cost effective accommodation two minutes away from the harbour.

Review 9:Too many spiral stairs to climb with suitcases!

Review 10:Loved the rooftop. Panoramic views of the harbor Staff friendly. awesome location. Walked from the harbor

Review 11:For the price I paid I'd say there was nothing to really complain about, but there are a couple of issues that one might find useful to know in order to avoid any disappointments (I only stayed there for one night on the way to the next island, for that purpose it was perfect). In general, my room and balcony didn't at all look like what you can see on the pictures on the booking site. In my room, furniture was old, and the balcony was very small and narrow (if you're a couple you will have a problem using it together!). It was also facing the neighbor house a couple of meters in front of it (but this was a room without view, so no problem with that). The location is good, just a couple of minutes to the port, bus, and restaurants.

Review 12:Our apartment on the top floor with a massive veranda overlooking the sea and marina. The food and our lovely host Vicki.

Review 13:Shower facilities need improving

Review 14:Very quiet location

Review 15:The owner was great helped with everything and made you really welcome

Review 16:we had an apartment on top with a big patio with wonderful views of the bay and town

Review 17:Rooms a bit dated

Review 18:Amazing view of the harbour Polite staff

Review 19:Not a dislike but there is no lift,we didn't find this a problem but some may struggle if not prepared.

Review 20:Location close to the town and amenities. The rooms basic but very clean and comfortable. Vicki was a lovely host making you feel very welcome, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was great and plenty of it too. Great value for money, good location.

Review 21:beds a bit hard. Lighting in room far too bright & stark! No view of the harbour from our room.

Review 22:small family run hotel with a delightful grandmother who was always ready to help despite not speaking much english, very good value

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:Accommodation is older style but clean and perfect location. We had the two bedroom apartment which meant we got the top floor with large balcony and views across the town and port. The owner/hosts are lovely and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Review 25:We've stayed at the Regina before during a trip to Skiathos with a mini island hop to Alonnisos and Skopelos in May 2012, stumbling across Regina after getting off an early morning catamaran and craving a sleep! We came back for a longer trip in June 2013 with a two night stay at Regina. Great family run hotel with the charming Maria and husband at its helm who really care about their guests and their comfort. Fantastic value double room with a street view balcony and lovely shared balcony overlooking the port. Breakfast is five euros with a toastie, yoghurt and honey, bread, croissants and delicious French toast plus coffee and juice. If you want good Greek hospitality then look no further! Maria is older and apologetic about her lack of English (tons better than our Greek!) but she certainly grasps your questions and if necessary, a call will be made to her equally helpful son to help you. A great find.

Review 26:We had an issue with water on the 1st night but that was easily rectified the following morning. Climbing up the stairs to the 3rd floor was a bit of a nightmare but by the end of the trip, we got used to it but a lift to the 3rd floor would be great

Review 27:Kyria Vicky was fantastic! She treated us like her own daughters and was a wealth of knowledge when we asked her about the Greek Orthodox monasteries and other sites of the island (mind you we can speak Greek so it was easier for us to communicate)... you couldn't ask for better service in this instance. We stayed on the 3rd level with amazing views of the port and took heaps of photos during the day and at night. The hotel is very central to all restaurants, bars, shopping and is a 2 minute walk from the port.

Review 28:Yanis and Marilaina were great hosts. They met us at the port the day we arrived and could not have been more helpful. Yanis cooked us breakfast in the mornings and could not do enough, it was all good and we could recommend highly to anyone else looking for a very hospitable stay in a great location in Skopelos.
