Reviews for Farmers Arms

Review 1:Great country location, stayed for two nights and enjoyed every minute, food, staff and atmosphere were all excellent. The room was lovely and spacious. Would certainly stay again.

Review 2:The bed...far too soft ...but that is a personal preference

Review 3:The room was light and spacious and the food was excellent. The bar was full of locals and guests and the views fantastic.

Review 4:Bedroom a bit sparce bathroom felt damp a lovely size room

Review 5:Good food nice atmosphere easy parking staff very helpful our 2nt visit would go there again

Review 6:Old, stained soft furnishings in the room, curtains off rails, broken upholstery seat in pub made it an uncomfortable meal and too expensive a room.

Review 7:Lovely location, lovely feel to the pub, excellent staff and food.

Review 8:Excellent standard of the staff , food , and accommodation . Also extremely accessible from the M5 motorway for overnight breaks or for even longer holidays .

Review 9:shower over bath didn't work well, we were in the largest of rooms and really think, given the size of the bathroom, it warrants a separate shower in this day and age.

Review 10:Location was perfect, restaurant food was lovely and good value, breakfast excellent. The staff are a young team and worked well together, very helpful and nothing too much bother

Review 11:Shower was part of the roll top bath which made a bit of a mess!!

Review 12:Room 1 was huge with separate sleeping and sitting areas. Breakfast was very good and so was the dinners

Review 13:It was a very nice room but the matresses are not up to the required standard. I felt having complained I was marked as a ''troublesome'' guest. NOTHING was done or mentioned on my remarks about the matress.

Review 14:Location, quiet country pub, good food and real ale.

Review 15:Noisy plumbing; small thing but could've done with a shelf in the bathroom for washbags, etc.

Review 16:Lovely location, friendly young staff, good food, comfy bed, large room with a small patio and double doors leading to the large bathroom

Review 17:Flow of water from shower a bit strange - difficult to get right temperature

Review 18:Room wonderfully huge almost a suite, food and drink and staff marvellous.

Review 19:Would have liked a Power Shower & not a Bath Shower attachment which is hard to get the correct Temperature. Also no Shaver Socket.

Review 20:Top class Food.

Review 21:Room was near the kitchen and the fan/vent seemed to stay on until well after midnight and was noisy.

Review 22:Good food, spacious comfortable room with seating area and private courtyard.

Review 23:Having to leave!

Review 24:Fantastic room, extremely friendly and efficient staff, excellent food, wonderful location and jolly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the Farmer's Arms.

Review 25:Hardly a thing. Choice of fruit at breakfast could have been better.

Review 26:Lovely location. Efficiency and friendliness of staff. Very good quality evening meal.

Review 27:only thing I would say is that room 1 was right by the kitchen so could hear all the clearing up and noise. Also people in the bar until late.

Review 28:Very welcoming and lovely place to stay.

Review 29:I think it could have been better signed posted as it really is in the middle of no where and was difficult to find.

Review 30:It was a lovely place to stay in. The staff where very helpful and friendly as we're the locals in the pub. The room we stayed in had its own out side terrace and it was beautifully decorated and We liked the fact it had towelling robes which aren't a "norm" for b & be. We would definitely recommend it, beautiful countryside.

Review 31:We found the staff cheerful, welcoming and charming. The food was excellent and we had a really lovely bedroom. Excellent value for money - we'll certainly be back.

Review 32:After a search for a place to relax and chill we found The Farmer's Arms, this is our second visit and certainly won't be the last. The place is traditional, positioning idyllic, room clean, and beautiful, bed so comfortable. Food and drink to a very high standard and best of all staff who really care and want your visit / stay to be as good as possible.

Review 33:noisy right next to kitchen with door open to public corridor ,toilet system kept us a wake ,sticky tables a bug bear

Review 34:rooms were nice on first impression ,country fill an age of building

Review 35:The room was just lovely and the staff were all warm and welcoming. In the evening I ate in the restaurant and the food was first class and I was well catered for as a vegetarian.

Review 36:Although it is little more than 10 minutes off the M5 you will need a SatNav to find it. No wifi signal in much of the building.

Review 37:Unlike some of its ilk the rooms were not an add-on but a thoughtful development. It is a large stone inn with fireplaces and (perhaps a little too much) dining areas. White light and bare wood. An accomplished kitchen. Infinite parking.

Review 38:Only a slight point - fresh coffee saches or a cafetiere in the room would haver been very welcome.

Review 39:The evening meal was exceptionally good quality and value for money -far beyond our expectation. Excellent local beer as well

Review 40:I cannot find a negative comment to make.

Review 41:Staff were very friendly and attentive, warm and welcoming, décor in pub and room was great, food was absolutely sublime.

Review 42:Absolutely fabulous stay and would recommend to everyone. the food and drink were to die for and reasonably prices, room and facilities, clean, fresh, spacious and such a comfy bed. The staff; attentive, helpful, polite, interested. I have stayed many places and this truly deserves 5* for making an amazing Valentines visit, we are very much looking forward to returning. Thank you for everything. Martin, Bristol

Review 43:nothing to say here.

Review 44:friendly professional staff. warm welcome, excellent food and local pale ale. the room was like a home from home. forget premier inns good night guarantee. this was much better. more of a personal touch than your mainstream hotels.

Review 45:Nothing, everything was great.

Review 46:Loved the bedrooms, fantastic size and layout and large bathroom with roll top bath and shower, great value for money. Great to have sitting area with comfy sofa and television. Food very good and breakfast excellent. Will definitely be revisiting as need regular place to stay to visit relatives.

Review 47:I really couldn't fault the place. It really is a wonderful venue and the rooms are just beautiful - wish we could have stayed longer just to make the most of it. And the staff were wonderful, very busy but so helpful. Thanks to all x

Review 48:Good beer, excellent food (particularly delicious lamb), couple of comfy sofas by wood burning stove. Friendly staff. Huge room with double doors open to the garden. Very comfy bed

Review 49:For the price, I expect better room facilities. Having to stand the kettle on the floor in order to plug it in - ridiculous and not exactly elfin safety!!!

Review 50:Dinner was good, breakfast excellent. Charming room and bar/ restaurant area.

Review 51:I booked 3 rooms for my family so we could attend a family party and each was beautifully furnished although different. Both the bathrooms and bedroom were large and the breakfast was lovely.

Review 52:A few cobwebs and dusty corners in the bedroom and bathroom. (bedding spotless though) Some light bulbs were not working and some paintwork was a bit tired. Heated towel rail didn't seem to work and as the room didn't get any sun it was quite chilly but the heating didn't appear to be on as the radiator didn't work.

Review 53:Large size of the room and bathroom (room 3, Mendip). Food at breakfast and in the evening (remember to book a table as it gets busy). Friendly staff.

Review 54:Sounds could be heard from the kitchens at tidying up time which was quite late and the pipework does make some weird noises. .

Review 55:The staff were helpful at all times. The rooms were huge and the bathrooms too - at least our two were.. This is a lovely old farmhouse that has been updated as a B&B and also a local...book a table for meals as they were full mid-week on our stay. The food was really good and you need a good appetite as it is plentiful and of good quality. The breakfast were the best we have had in our entire trip the eggs benedict are to die for!

Review 56:Everything about this place was awesome - the service, the food, even the other diners who were there - pity I was only there for one night. On arrival I was shown my room - it was huge, the supersize bed, lounge area, and an enormous bathroom. If that wasn't impressive enough, I went to the bar and ordered a meal - simply delicious, no wonder the place was packed with regulars and other tourists. Breakfast is a must! I will be back to the Farmers Arms, thank you for the experience!

Review 57:Poor wifi signal? Not the most comfortable beds, if you book a double room we dont like two singal beds pushed together?

Review 58:Room size was excellent Perfect for dogs Accomadating staff Excellent parking Best Fillet steak ever Fabulous freshly cooked breakfast Great power shower in the room

Review 59:Dirty bath.No box of tissues in room. Poor quality of toiletries considering number of "stars". No information sheet in room ie saying how to get on to wi if.

Review 60:Friendly staff. Fabulous food.

Review 61:Nothing except there is still an annoying amount of noise on the toilet cisterns

Review 62:We have stayed here before and found it an ideal point on our journey. Better still it has an excellent restaurant.

Review 63:No toiletries in one of the rooms. Toilet seat needed fixing, cobwebs and dead flies on the windows.

Review 64:Location was excellent, Rooms were fantastic with an outside terrace. Staff were very attentive.

Review 65:Not really a criticism but maybe there could be more sofa type seating
