Reviews for Mistral
Review 1:If you have any mobility problems moving out of the hotel on foot was very difficult due to the hilly terrain.
Review 2:The staff were very accommodating. The view was sensational.
Review 3:Air con failed on 2nd night! But we survived!
Review 4:Very friendly staff. Couldn't do enough. Food very good and good value . Location brilliant. Pool brilliant would highly recommend.
Review 5:Souvala was dirty. From sidewalks to beaches to water. Kids quote "don't make me swim in that nasty water" the beach, not the pool(it was clean)
Review 6:Views and friendly staff
Review 7:Hot water not so hot (though nor cold either)
Review 8:For the island's standards I think it's the best choice. Nice rooms, all with seaside view and a balcony, new construction for the island's standards, a pool with a wooden pergola for relaxing and nice breakfast in a nice atmosphere and good music.
Review 9:The bed was so hard & uncomfortable, we hardly slept. The owners had a party downstairs that went on till 4am! Sleep was obviously not required on our break away!
Review 10:The ambience & location were wonderful. The owner was extremely friendly & even drive to find us when we were a little lost. The rooms were very clean & well equipped.
Review 11:Everything! Comfortable, clean room with outstanding sea views from a lovely balcony. Excellent breakfast and superb evening meal. Hosts were very welcoming and attentive to all our needs. Will definitely be back!
Review 12:I had to request the hot water be turned on, which I learned after two cold showers. My toilet leaked, so the bathroom was a little wet. Really insignificant, in the grand scheme of things.
Review 13:Since I was the only guest, the owners doted on me. They were sweet, attentive, friendly, and hospitable. Accommodating doesn't begin to describe them. I left feeling like I'd spent time with family. My view was spectacular, the food was great, it was quiet, and the sleepy town was perfect for someone who wanted to get away from people. Best place for an off-season vacation.
Review 14:Breakfast adequate but not big variety (there were even some leftovers from the last night’s dinner).Swimming pool was much smaller than expected from photos (4 people was a crowd). The owners had not informed us about a party which took place in the hotel bar. Too much noise afterhours and when we complained, they rationalized and didn’t even bother to apologize. Their main concern was not to satisfy the customer but to make sure they got a nice review. Me and my partner thought “water under the bridge” and even gave them a quite nice and objective review (for 7.1/10). But after receiving a distasteful and rather offensive email from the owners demonstrating inhospitality and lack of quality, this review is more realistic.
Review 15:Clean and spacious rooms. Really beautiful view from our balcony and the patio.
Review 16:Nothing
Review 17:Wonderful place for spending holiday in Aegina. The seaview from the balcony take your breath away, especially on the sunset. The yard has a nice swimming pool in the center and is very well maintained. The nice hosts who run the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was very warm and clean, with excellent services. The breakfast was very good, fresh and traditional. Great value for money !
Review 18:The breakfast was a litle poor. Took a cup of coffee, but went out to eat. Was a beach bar with small dishes five minutes walk from the hotel.
Review 19:The view from our room was amazing. The room was good. The staff was really nice and helpfull.
Review 20:Far from dislike, this is only a small remark. WiFi could be better distributed, ar at least a stronger signal in rooms, would be highly appreciated.
Review 21:First impression is the view from the room No.1 - it's 180 degree of sea, with sunrise and sunset. Second most impressive thing is hygiene and cleanliness level of the rooms as well as of the facilities. At the end, a friendly staff is capable of making every good moment to be even better. Saturday night with live music on the pool balcony was my favorite. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to Suvala restaurants and car trips to a nearby beautiful monastery of Ag.Nectarios
Review 22:Nice sea view
Review 23:Incredible view, food, service staff
Review 24:The bathroom needs refurbishing but it was very clean.
Review 25:Beautiful views, friendly staff
Review 26:Location. Hospitality. Food. Cleaning. Service level in general.
Review 27:Nice view
Review 28:If weather is bad, then the place is sad Too nosey proprietors

Review 35:The confortable sie
Review 36:The beds and the breakfast is not very good, and there is no cashmashine in Souvala.
Review 37:The pool, dinner and the staff. Exelent wiew!
Review 38:I didn't like leaving that fabulous place! But I will be back!
Review 39:The amazing view and the staff were fabulous! The cuisine was delicious and the swimming pool amazing !
Review 40:I really liked the hospitality of the people in charge. It felt like home. The cuisine was excellent, and so was the view from the balcony. It is also a very cosy and clean hotel. The location was ideal for the everyday trips.
Review 41:The location, Souvala, has absolutely nothing of interest and nothing to do at all. Hopefully, it is better during summer, but no beaches of reasonable standard, 3-4 restaurants with nothing on the menu and no guests. A supermarket and a bakery, plus a couple of small kiosks are the only shops. If you want to go to Aegina for some reason, stay max. two nights in Aegina Town and spend 1 hour and a half to drive to and visit the Aphaea temple.
Review 42:The hosts are very kind and service-minded. Can organise car rental for only Euro 30 per day. The view is clearly the greatest asset of this place. And if you want absolutely silence, this hotel is recommendable.
Review 43:Shower was dirty. had to open the toilet to get water into the thing so we could use it. When I asked for help with the heating system, the owner seemed annoyed that I was asking for help.
Review 44:Great view!
Review 45:Rubbish piled up in the streets Stray cats everywhere Extremely quiet out of season
Review 46:Simple room with great view over the sea. Relaxing patio and pool area Friendly owners
Review 47:We could not stay longer but will definately go there next year again!!!!
Review 48:The hosts and owners of the Hotel was the friendliness couple. The rooms was cleaned everyday as well as clean linen. The breakfast was divine as well as the two dinner meals we had at the Hotel. The view from our rooms every morning and night was beautiful. Whatever we asked for Victoria and Nikos owners of the Hotel could provide us with - arranging transport for our group, doing our washing, making dinners for us, heating water every morning for our first coffee in our rooms. Definately a place to stay on Aegina Island. We also had a wonderful last night with Victoria and Nikos and their personnel. Eating and dancing till late that night. The best music everyday at the Hotel as well as our last night together with them. The best stay for us from South Africa and also their first clients from South Africa.
Review 49:We were looking for someplace very quiet and calm to relax after a busy cruise vacation- it was perfect! Beautiful views of the water, dolphins swimming by, and a nice, quiet town/countryside to explore. The main hostess was incredibly warm and accommodating. She allowed us to check in 3 hours early, and even offered to let us stay 2 hours passed check-out free of charge.
Review 50:Everything was perfect.
Review 51:What an amazing hotel! Thank you Nikos and Victoria for your hospitality! The food was excellent at dinner and breakfast, thank you for setting up a cake for our daughter's birthday... The room was beautiful and large and very clean! Excellent views from the balcony. Overall, excellent experience in Aegina. We will recommend to all our friends visiting Greece!
Review 52:I would feel that it would improve the experience if the hotel reserved an area for sun loungers, served some more European continental breakfast foods and ensured that bathroom windows can open.
Review 53:My partner and I recently visited the island of Aegina in Greece and stayed in a hotel called Mistral in the town of Souvala. I will mention briefly that the town was small, sleepy and very friendly. We seemed to be the only tourists there at the time. In our hotel also after the first night, we were the only guests for the next three nights. The hotel has 12 rooms a very nice pool and seating area and no lounging beds. There is however a small pebbly, secluded beach only 5 min walk. Our room was on the second and top floor with amazing sea views, the hotel is right on the sea front). The room had a double bed with the usual bedding (sheet, blanket, 4 pillows), small bedside tables, a desk and a chair and a double, spacious wardrobe with hanging space, shelves and drawers. The room also had air conditioning and a small TV on the wall with one English and one French channel and the rest local channels. The bathroom was small, clean and provided us with shower gel, soap, toilet paper and 2 towels each. The only criticism I have for the bathroom is that the window did not open and it felt very humid and closed off. We also had a very spacious balcony with a table and 2 chairs. The hosts are husband and wife and they live at the property, being available day and night. They are both incredibly nice and helpful, with little English, but that will improve over time. We found it very relaxing to be the only ones in the hotel for so long, but we spent little time there anyway. Our booking included breakfast. We had some cereal, tea and coffee on 2 mornings but we did not find the Greek breakfast very interesting or appetizing after being so used to the English ones. The Greek seem to have boiled eggs, cheese, bread and cake for breakfast, which wasn't to our taste so much. The other mornings we had omlettes in the nearest cafe. I would definitely return here and recommend it to friends and family.
Review 54:The view was magnificent, the room very comfortable, the breakfast rich and generally the food very good. The swimming pool was much fun, the service excellent and the staff very friendly. I felt at home in Mistral!
Review 55:A bed isn't that comfortable, but in general- it was ok.
Review 56:A great small family run hotel, the view from the pool aria and the room is just outstanding. Very clean and quiet.
Review 57:Souvala very quiet in February, no buses etc. May prefer though if looking for real peace and quiet!
Review 58:Very friendly /helpful staff. Lovely sea view. Great breakfast! Nice family run hotel.
