Reviews for Thea Home Hotel

Review 1:Wifi very poor, ok they unplug it during thunders that's just common sense but otherwise it worked very poorly, slow and unreliable. The coffee tasted strange and not very good .

Review 2:Excellent friendly hotel on the hill overlooking Skopelos town, we had a small but comfortable room with a stunning view of Skopelos town and the Sea. Good breakfast (with exception for the coffee). Staff are very friendly and offers lot of advise and information about the island. Bed comfortable and cleaning was perfect. It only takes 5-10 minutes to reach the harbour but It should be noted that to reach the hotel from the town there are 84 steps to climb,

Review 3:The hotel's not too far from the town centre on foot, but it's a fairly steep climb with lots of stairs.

Review 4:Excellent breakfast buffet Lovely pool The rooms are quite small but spotlessly clean and have little balconies with a view on the port Friendly family owners

Review 5:The location of the hotel is close to the centre of the village and a walking distance to restaurants and the harbour. The view from the balcony and terasse is breathtaking, the breakfast (eat the yoghurt with honey!) is great but most of all I want to give praise to the owners and the staff of the hotel. They are friendly, helpful and do their best to make you enjoy your stay. I would recommend everyone to stay at this hotel, you won't regret it!

Review 6:Nothing - a perfect stay

Review 7:Lovely location with view over town to Skopelos harbour below; rooms and balconies are spacious; lots of privacy between rooms. Warm and helpful hosts; gorgeous terrace area for lounging about, breakfast etc.

Review 8:The distance from Skopelos port. There's a shortcut that takes you down in 5 minutes top, but it is kinda tiring to have to climb back the stairs (some parts of the path are very steep). Wi-fi was very poor in both common areas and in our room: it didn't have a negative impact on our vacation, but I think it should be noted.

Review 9:The owners were extremely available and kindly accommodated our requests. Breakfast was exceptional, very fresh and with home-made products. The location itself is stunning, with amazing views on the sea.

Review 10:Lots of steps to go either down or up to accommodation so may not be suitable for people with walking problems. Also a short walk to the town centre, again steps and slightly hilly, so may be a problem for some visitors.

Review 11:Excellent views over the town, friendly staff

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:The amazing location of this hotel on top of the hill of Skopelos town was breathtaking. The whole place just felt so cosy and warm. The breakfast was lovely, and even better was sitting outside to enjoy the view whilst you ate. The staff were very helpful, collecting me from the port and helping me with my bags! The walk into town is short, downhill, and yes there are a few steps to go up to get home but it's worth it. Wifi worked in the common areas, shower had hot water and good pressure, air con worked well, nice little balcony with sun drenched chair and table, hanging place to dry your clothes from the beach, good bed. Very peaceful and definitely somewhere I'd go back to.

Review 14:The bathroom, although clean, was very small and would have preferred an overhead shower instead of a hand held shower. This is the only thing about the whole hotel that I did not like.

Review 15:The view from our balcony and the breakfast terrace was a highlight of our holiday. Staff were lovely and it was such a homely, welcoming and beautiful place.

Review 16:Breakfast patio could do with some more shade. Some might wish for the wifi to be more reliable, but hey you are on holiday so why connect with the outside world when you are in the perfect location.

Review 17:This place was great. I would go back in a heart beat. Amazing breakfasts, excellent location with easy walking access to Skopelos town, beautiful views, lovely swimming pool, very well priced. Giorgos very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Review 18:The only issue was that our air conditioning had a fault (intermittent) We only stayed one night so I'm sure it was sorted for the next guest.

Review 19:Beautiful views, quirky and cheerful decor, lovely breakfast and friendly host.

Review 20:- Wifi - really slow, didn't work at several places and not at all in the room

Review 21:+ staff - really friendly, helpful, honest + view - fantastic + breakfast - a lot to choose from + pool

Review 22:Thea Home Hotel was the perfect choice for our short stay in Skopelos. It is located up-hill, so benefits from amazing views over the Chora of Skopelos and the sea, yet is also close to the town centre. The hotel is absolutely beautifully decorated, with great taste and attention to detail, and really looks like the pictures you see here. The owners are really nice, friendly and helpful, and they were more than happy to get out of their way to accommodate our needs. Upon our arrival, we went through a smooth and easy check-in process, were then shown to our lovely, cosy room, and later, when we asked where we could rent a motorbike from, the owner offered to make a call and ask for the motorbike to be delivered to our door! And still our absolute favourite part was...breakfast!! Delicious, home-made, with such great variety, including the best and most famous local products, such as the yummy tyropita!!! On the day of our departure, we were kindly given a lift to the port by the owner, which made for the perfect and so comfortable closure of our time there. We just wished we had planned on staying a bit longer..next time though!! :)

Review 23:no safes in room, need a shelf in the bathroom

Review 24:Nice room location, lovely balcony with beautiful views over Skopelos bay .Nice swimming pool , the hotel ambience was very charming.

Review 25:The walk up from the town may be off-putting for some, and the bathroom/toilet was somewhat basic.

Review 26:A friendly, helfpul owner, and an expansive breakfast. The room was very clean, and the view was simply stunning, particularly for the notably reasonable price.

Review 27:A fairly long walk uphill from the port which wasn't an issue for us as we welcome the exercise. Taxis are readily available if preferred. Bathroom was small but adequate.

Review 28:Very friendly family environment. The owner's son was on front desk during our stay and was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Beautiful views from the balcony. Lovely pool and outdoor areas.

Review 29:It was out of town and for some reason the gps coordinates are wrong so it is hard to find on foot.

Review 30:The welcome, the breakfast and the pool. We were very glad to have been picked up from the harbour by our host as none of the taverna owners could give us directions. It probably onl takes 5-10 mins of 'up' if you know the way but we didn't so it took us 45 mins after supper. The family are lovely and the hotel is beautiful, very artistic, obviously well maintained. I appreciate that it costs a bit more due to the pool and the huge breakfast selection but It is a bit pricey for out of town. Wouldn't recommend it for 1 or 2 nights but it would be great for a longer stay, once you get your bearings it would be fine.

Review 31:Liked it all. Possibly bathroom shower & curtain a bit basic but all clean & functional.

Review 32:Loved the atmosphere and setting. Beautiful flowers everywhere and stunning terrace for breakfast. Perfect setting with easy, immediate access to old town & port. Very pretty decor. We'll run by very efficient, friendly family. Room was comfortable and very clean. Would definitely go back.

Review 33:Wow. I just love this hotel. Really, really comfortable bed. Our room was lovely and cool - didn't need the air conditioning at all. Amazing views, gorgeous décor and flowers and painted stones. Great staff - just so helpful and kind. Lovely pool with view.

Review 34:Bit of a steep hill home but good for burning dinner off

Review 35:Rooms very cean and bed was extremely comfortable, lovely staff who were vey helpful , The price for b&b was very reasonable plus they picked us up with our luggage from the ferry port , All in all very happy with our stay and would go back

Review 36:The wifi was disastrous. It took 20minites to connect and would disconnect after 3minutes. The rooms themselves needed some work, for example, our air con was temperamental, and the shower holder didn't exactly "hold". But all in all, a lovely hotel and lovely stay

Review 37:The hotel staff could not be any friendlier. Warm, welcoming and made the stay much more pleasant. The views are exquisite and the rooms good.

Review 38:Friendly caring staff. Nothing too much trouble for owner Giorgos and receptionist Spirithoula. Sea view. Comfortable bed with white linen. Lots of books, pictures and brightly painted stones. Excellent home made breakfast, Collection to and from port.

Review 39:Fridge/frezzer in room was so noisy kept us awake at night. Also they wanted us to ring them when our ferry arrived even though you can see/hear the ferrys arriving from the hotel. In the event because we couldn't get our phone to work we had to take a taxi.

Review 40:Great location. High quality room. Nice extras e.g. free bikes

Review 41:Lots of stairs. may be difficult for elderly some of the hot food for breakfast cold

Review 42:Great views of Skopelos Port Outside balconies Big Rooms Modern bathrooms Pool Close to town Breakfast on terrace

Review 43:Well appointed room, very well thought out little details like blue tiles on the kitchenette wall just made it very attractive. The owner and his son were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast which included traditional Greek fare was offered on a balcony overlooking Skopelos Harbor. Stunning!

Review 44:Everything, just everything was wonderful, the location, the rooms, the cleanliness, the food, George the owner and his family, one of my overriding impressions though was the fragrance form the blossoms around the property, that was indescribable.

Review 45:Thea Home Hotel is located up the hill from the harbor and the sea view from the room and balcony is absolutely lovely. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Review 46:Excellent location - easy to park along the road and yet just 5 min walk from the town center, port and Old Town. It is built on a high position so most of the rooms and the breakfast area have view to the sea and the town. We were accommodated in a spacious room with sea view, just above the swimming pool. The hotel's outer area is nicely decorated, with attention to small details like hand-painted pebbles, plates and drawings. Breakfast was very good, with some local specialties and home made products. The owner George and his father are very helpful and do their best to make the guests feel comfortable.

Review 47:Really lovely staff, excellent views, access to pedestrian town, excellent breakfast with brilliant view, pool is perfect etcetc staff very happy to offer transfers to port. Lots of travel assistance.

Review 48:Difficult to park (at the side of ring road) and carry the luggage, up and down the narrow steps.

Review 49:Excellent location, only a few minutes from the port, although its on a steep hill and its tiring to go up. We stayed in the lower, most recent part of the Hotel (only 3 years old), near the pool and enjoyed the comfortable rooms and the balcony overlooking the town, the harbour and the bay. George, the owner, was very helpful and the breakfast was excellent, served in a terrace with magnificent view.

Review 50:Very pretty, stylish small hotel run by a kind, friendly, efficient family. It felt more like being a guest rather than a paying guest! The best breakfast I've ever had in a Greek hotel, served on a beautiful terrace.

Review 51:staff were friendly and helpful. Great views Al fresco breakfast swimming pool cleanliness highly maintained Accommodating re special requests

Review 52:Room and balcony were really small, wobbly bed, approximately 150! steps up to the hotel

Review 53:Clean room, beautiful view, free mountainbikes, cosy atmosphere, good breakfast, free shuttle from/to the port.

Review 54:With great views come a great many steps down to the harbour so a level of fitness is needed - but it's worth the climb

Review 55:The family went out of their way to make our stay special. This is no impersonal soulless hotel but a warm welcoming place to stay, with fantastic views while enjoying a homemade breakfast.

Review 56:The owners are very nice. Location is great - it's calm and away from the crowd but in 4 minutes by foot you're in the busy area of the port with all the shops, tavernas etc. There is a great view over the town from most of the rooms and from the terrace where the breakfast is served. The breakfast is also very good.

Review 57:The walk up from the town was quite steps with lots of steps

Review 58:The view from the hotel was beautiful. The staff were great really helpful and the room was really clean. Great breakfast with a big choice of food

Review 59:We had an apartment which was very good, though not very convenient for more than two people because there is only one toilet/bathroom with no direct access from the bedroom.

Review 60:The hotel has perfect location, stunning view and beautiful terrace. You need to feel atmosphere there! Beauty and tranquility..

Review 61:During the night, we could hear sounds from the bathroom above.

Review 62:Stuff and owners are very nice and helpful. Nice view from the hotel terrace. Relaxing, more like home atmosphere. Kids loved the pool. Good home made breakfast.

Review 63:I would recommend a bit more shade in the garden for guests to sit and eat their breakfast.

Review 64:The Thea Home Hotel was a lovely surprise and one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our travels around Greece. We had a large family room with a great balcony with wonderful sea views and overlooking the town. There is also a very nice pool to cool down in after a hot summers day. Initially the hotel looks to be quite far from the town center, however it is only a short 5 - 10 min walk through the back village streets. We loved everything about Skopelos and will definitely return and will defiantly stay again at Thea Home Hotel again.

Review 65:attentive family well run business, genuine people that are there to make your stay enjoyable-,also port transfers appreciated and breakfast each day was superb.I will happily return...

Review 66:Spent 3 days in this wanderful place that really turns out to be even much better than what pictures and reviews online can describe! Warm, clean and cozy. Many thanks!

Review 67:Lovely views, delicious breakfasts and friendly atmosphere! A very pleasant stay accompanied with the owners' friendly chats on the terrace in the evenings I felt at home

Review 68:The route into the town was very steep with a lot of steps which wouldnot suit everybody however a taxi back at night was 5 euros

Review 69:A different experience than you get used to All the breakfast washomemade cakes biscuits etc The view from the room was wonderful and theroom facilities were all relatively new and we had no problems at all

Review 70:love everything!

Review 71:The staff are super friendly, which creates a great family atmosphere! The breakfast is deliciously Greek and freshly made every morning! 10 out of 10. Rooms have beautiful views and are clean. Location is perfect! Quiet area yet near to the village buzz. Highly recommended.

Review 72:We really loved the elevated views from the property overlooking the Skopelos port and beyond . The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had for similar rated hotels, with several traditional & tasty items (especially the rice pudding-yum!). George , his father & staff made sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay and were willing to help with any queries we had. We would definitely recommend Thea Home Hotel & hope to be back again next year!

Review 73:sheets not changed regularly, the pool was terrible , alot of steps very difficult

Review 74:view , within walking distance to the town , good breakfast except for the oj which I dont ever understand why there is not fresh in a country with such an abundance of oranges

Review 75:very nice room with beautiful sea view, excellent breakfast, delicious home made pies, home atmosphere, nice people everywhere,we will recommend to our friends and will be definitely back again :)

Review 76:Having to leave.

Review 77:This was the best holiday of our lives. The staff at Thea were faultless, did everything they could to help and please us even by lending us their own personal bikes to use and took us to the harbour at half past six in the morning! Could not rate them any higher, the best, flawless, definitely going back. The atmosphere of the hotel especially at breakfast was exciting and relaxed, especially when the storm came and everyone, staff and client helped bring in the tarpaulin and cushions. The staff were genuinely interested in your lives as well. The room was beaut and there was absolutely no problem when we requested extra bedding for the third bed as everyone assumed me and my sister were a couple. The hotel was perfectly traditional and typically greek but with luxuries for the modern traveller. And don't get me started on the hotels cheese pie- the best on the island- believe me, I tried everywhere.

Review 78:Nothing

Review 79:Lovely welcoming staff, beautiful views over the bay from our balcony, great swimming pool, excellent breakfast. Nice quiet room, with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, very nice bathroom. Clothes airer for hanging up washing.

Review 80:Everything. From the moment I was picked up at the port by the owner Giannis and brought to the hotel I was made to feel most welcome. I had arrived after a horrendous journey, which saw me having to spend the night in Luton airport to getting an early flight to Skiathos and from there on a ferry to Skopelos. I told Giannis I was wall falling with hunger and in an instant he had whipped up a delightful omelette for me and some water. The hotel is built over 3 levels and is delightful in every way. Lots of little hidden areas where you could sit on a comfy sofa or chair and read a book. On every level there was something unusual in the line of pottery or plants. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of it and would recommend it to anyone's. Just 1 thing it is a little bit out of the town but there is a back way down, which leads right in to the town. Just be aware there are quite a few steps up and down to the town.

Review 81:Bed pretty hard, shower very tight squeeze.

Review 82:Lovely staff, good brekky, great view.
