Reviews for Beachcomber B&B

Review 1:What a gem of a B&B. We visited Tenby for the Blues Festival in November and suffice to say the weather was pretty poor. Dave is a fantastic host, very welcoming, helpful and friendly with a useful local knowledge. Great room, clean and fully furnished with a massive flat screen TV. Free wifi, toiletries and crisp white clean towels. Very generous full english breakfast with copious amounts of cereal, toast, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt tea and fresh coffee. Well done Dave, B&B as it should be.

Review 2:The family room to the street is very noisy (bad windows). Room too small for 4 people. Bathroom is old and a bit shabby.

Review 3:Very nice owner. Good character. Nice breakfast.

Review 4:Nothing.

Review 5:Great little bed and breakfast, Dave and his partner make this place amazing. Great local knowledge and they go the extra mile with service and hospitality.

Review 6:BED HAD WOODEN BASE THAT WE KEPT BANGING SHINS ON. HEATING WAS GREAT BUT DIDNT COME ON UNTIL 6.30PM TV DIDNT WORK & NEITHER DID REPLACEMENT ONE BUT NOT THE END OF THE WORLD

Review 7:VERY PLEASANT STAFF, LUVERLY BREAKFAST, IDEAL LOCATION WITH FREE PARKING

Review 8:We stayed at the BeachComber B&B as my husband was competing in Ironman Wales. From the moment we arrived Cath and Dave made us feel so welcome and took care of our every need. They embraced the Ironman weekend completely…right down to leaving a good luck card in the room for my husband! They were up at 4am making the athletes breakfast - then did another round of breakfasts later on after the race had started for the spectators. The breakfasts are cooked fresh and are delicious! There was a great selection and some really nice coffee & home baked banana cake and flapjacks. I can’t sing enough praises about our stay at BeachComber we really did feel so looked after and will highly recommend anyone to stay here especially for Ironman Wales…the location is perfect for it.. Close to the swim start and registration/expo area! Thank you Cath and Dave what a memorable stay, we will be back for sure!

Review 9:Amazing couple Dave and Cath who run B&B. Stayed for Ironman Wales weekend. Dave and Cath went above and beyond to make sure it was an unforgettable weekend. They could not have done any more! 10/10!

Review 10:Nothing. I hope to return

Review 11:Dave was the soul of kindness, he send me instructions and wait for me to show the parking lot. A smile in every moment. He explain about the village too

Review 12:N/A

Review 13:I had a 2 night stay at the Beachcomber recently. Ideal location and very comfortable and clean. David, the owner was genuinely helpful and friendly which made a difference. The breakfast was delicious, and plentiful. Added bonus was the car park. I will defiantly return. Thanks for making my stay enjoyable !!!

Review 14:The friendly owners was very welcoming, lovely and clean our room and place was and breakfast was stunning we could definitely be returning very soon :)))

Review 15:I found the wifi to be very temperamental - possibly because I was on the top floor. But it didn't bother me as there is so much to see and do in Tenby - both day and night.

Review 16:Dave was the ideal host - really helpful with everything and we had some very interesting chats. The quality of the breakfast was superb on all three mornings I was there - especially the great coffee and home-made flapjacks. I stayed in a spotlessly clean, light single room which was serviced everyday. The location of the Beachcomber is perfect - just a two-minute stroll into the enchanting centre of Tenby and yet far enough out so that there is no noise to be heard from the many good nightspots to be enjoyed. The fantastic Tenby Golf Club is also just a short walk away, as are the brilliant beaches.

Review 17:Dave sent a txt prior to my arrival to offer help with parking and off loading luggage. Both Dave and Cathy were amazing with their friendliness and local knowledge. Breakfast perfect and each morning, Cathy had freshly baked banana bread and flapjacks on offer.

Review 18:We were in a small room up two flights of stairs. The bed was not great.

Review 19:Owners were great very helpfull could not do enough for us. Parking not far away. Very clean room and shower room. The breakfast was very good. Would stay again but on the ground floor.

Review 20:Great welcome, very friendly , perfect location , free car parking , clean comfortable, good breakfast , couldn't ask for more . Most certain to return !

Review 21:Lovely couple who made us feel very welcome. Spacious, clean, homely rooms, beautiful breakfasts. We couldnt have wished for a more relaxing and welcoming stay for the weekend of our engagement!

Review 22:Not a single thing comes to mind.

Review 23:Absolutely everything, Beach Comber is a microcosm of Tenby as a whole: warm, friendly, endearing. Could not have asked for more helpful folks and could not have had a nicer stay with a nicer view.

Review 24:This survey didn't work very well in my browser, so can't be sure all categories have been included in the score. Could feel the springs through the bed mattress. Perhaps a topper needed.

Review 25:The warm and friendly welcome. Consistent effort at putting everyone at ease and making guests feel important.

Review 26:The owner was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and included home made banana cake and flapjacks. Our bikes were stored in the basement. Our room was small but the price more than makes up for that. The bed was very comfortable and the shower good.

Review 27:David, the owner of this hotel, is a very reliable and hospitable man. I was lucky to have a drink with him at the late evening and be served a breakfast by him at the next morning at 6:50 am.

Review 28:I was staying at the top floor the wifi was very poor.

Review 29:The place, the staff, food was amazing, we really enjoyed staying there and it is very much recommended.

Review 30:Bathroom needs serious renovation but that's apparently already planned and other bathrooms seem to have been done already.

Review 31:Very friendly welcome and care by David throughout the stay - good size of room and comfortable bed - good location

Review 32:Dave was an exceptional host. From riding along with us to park the car to his inside advice on where to eat/drink in Tenby, he was first class. Also with wifi, good food, comfortable accommodations - it has everything you need.

Review 33:Tenby is a great place to unwind and recharge your battery. Fantastic views beaches an costal walking. The Beachcomber B&B is located in ideal spot for stay. Easy walkin distance to tenbys eateries and bars

Review 34:Room was in need of updating, no where to hang towels in bathroom. On ground floor...little noisy.

Review 35:Breakfast was great. Good location. Comfortable bed. Great owners!!

Review 36:the wifi was a bit patchy, particularly on the top floor, but given we were only there for one night this didn't matter

Review 37:A fantastic welcome- we arrived later than planned but were nevertheless warmly greeted by Dave, who kindly stored our bikes in his basement. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location ideal- only 5 minutes walk from Tenby harbour. The breakfast was great too! Many thanks for a great stay.

Review 38:The owners of the bnb were excellent, really friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat and drink. The room itself was clean, comfortable and large! The en suite bathroom was clean and modern! The price was also very affordable, I'd definitely stay here again, and reccommend it to others. Also free cooked breakfast in the morning was great.

Review 39:Dave proprietor was lovely nothing was to much trouble he even went out of he's way to make sure we found the right restaurants. breakfast was gorgeous best one I have had in a bed and breakfast

Review 40:The weather could have been warmer! We could not connect our tablet.

Review 41:The owner was as good as possible & made us feel really welcome. The breakfasts were excellent & stocks of consumables in the bedroom always stocked fully.

Review 42:Our room was right by the door so it was a little noisy with creaky floorboards - but what do you expect in a lovely sea side house?!

Review 43:The parking was great (if a little tricky to get into) and gave us real piece of mind about leaving the car while we explored as we didn't have to worry about parking tickets or bumps from passers by. The owner was really helpful and let us leave our bags in the room a good 3 hours before the check in time! The breakfast was lovely and exactly the right amount to fill you up without you needing to lay down aftrwards

Review 44:relaxed, friendly, safe atmosphere as a solo female traveller. dave's a great host - brilliant breakfast and unexpected chat about music! great location

Review 45:The welcome I received from Dave the proprietor was top class. I wish I could have stayed for breakfast and a little longer, but had to catch the early morning train. Dave was so friendly and we had a great chat when we arrived. I really enjoyed staying at the Beachcomber and I'll hopefully make my return there very soon in the near future. Thanks all.

Review 46:Dave (the owner) was brilliant and so knowledgable about what you can do in Tenby. The location of the B and B was excellent. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous.

Review 47:Can't think of anything! Breakfast was superb too.

Review 48:Dave, the owner, was fantastic. Knew the area really well so have us tips and directions and help on where to go and what to do.

Review 49:Wished we could have parked closer, but the parking was only half a block away and was very secure. The shower took us until the second day to figure out with alternating extreme hot to cold - the next day it was perfect as long as you don't adjust the knob (but clean, nicely renovated bathroom). Facilities great besides that - felt bad even mentioning the shower.

Review 50:Excellent hosts, wonderful location in a beautiful town, clean and friendly. Great breakfast. We stayed in the room that has a double bed, single bed, and sofa bed - it was a large, comfortable room with strong wifi signal. Would definitely recommend and will be staying here again.

Review 51:will be staying here again as its close to the centre of town, the owner was so friendly and helpful. Rooms where clean and tidy. His daughter was very helpful with breakfast and always had a smile on her face

Review 52:Room was a little tired. Bathroom a bit damp and somewhat grotty. In need of some updating, which we understand is on the cards.

Review 53:Dave was a really friendly and helpful host. Breakfast was fantastic.

Review 54:excellent accomodation, clean, comfortable, best ever breakfast and Very very hospitable, and friendly, will definitely recommend this B& B ti anyone.

Review 55:Our shower head spread water everywhere and there was a musky smell in the bathroom.

Review 56:The location of this b and b is excellent. The owners were very friendly, accomodating and understanding of our needs. Parking was available off site and while this wasn't a problem for us some might find the uphill walk inconvenient. (It's not far). The decor was quite modern. The room size was adequate.

Review 57:Lovely stay. Room very cosy and comfortable. Dave was an excellent host. Nothing was too much trouble. He even did some gymnastics with my girls! Would definitely stay at the Beachcomber again.

Review 58:There was nothing about this place i didn't like. I just hope the new Premier Inn being built across the road doesn't have too much of an impact on this and the other B&Bs on the street.

Review 59:Easy walk to the town whilst being away from the noise. Lovely breakfast. Friendly owner who recommended a really good place for dinner and Sunday lunch. We'll definitely return.

Review 60:ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Review 61:MADE TO FEEL AT HOME . FREINDLY WELCOME AS ALWAYS . .VERY CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST.DAVE THE OWNER HAS A WIDE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL AREA . MY WIFE AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING AT THE BEACHCOMBER B/B AGAIN

Review 62:The Ironman Marathon

Review 63:Everything!,it is our third stay with Dave and his wife and we wouldnt stay anywhere else in Tenby.Nothing is too much for them, they even prepared breakfast at 4a.m for the Wales Ironman participants staying at the Hotel. Superb!

Review 64:The rooms at the front of the guesthouse look out onto the main road into Tenby, which was busy from around 6.00 am. The building itself is currently being renovated by the owner, therefore some areas are still 'work in progress'; although this is no way detracted from the overall positive experience of our stay.

Review 65:The proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced. Great breakfast!

Review 66:Warm friendly welcome on arrival. A feeling that the owners were totally committed to the best interests and comfort of their guests. Nothing was too much trouble. My single room was imaginatively organised and attractively decorated. Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from, very good quality. Also the location was very convenient (in my case for the station).

Review 67:Enjoyed a lovely one night break here, we stayed in room 4 which has very funky wallpaper and is nice and spacious and light. Breakfast was fab and the owners are very personable and knowledgeable on the local area

Review 68:We were situated on the ground floor and the bathroom was very dated with shower tray and seals rather dirty .shower curtain mouldy on the bottom .We understood after booking that the property is in the process of updating however the price for the room didnt reflect the dated nature of the accomodation

Review 69:location and host was very good and very friendly .Breakfst very good too

Review 70:Upper landing needs redecorating- this may be inhand.

Review 71:location good- between station and town. Quiet area- ideal for a good night's sleep. Hosts very welcoming and keen to help with info etc. Good sized room/ensuite and everything worked OK. Good value for the price paid. Tasty cooked breakfast and advice on where to eat out.

Review 72:Decor needs to be updated, it is work in progress.

Review 76:The shower was a little weaker than I would like

Review 77:We had a comfortable and spacious bedroom and Dave was a very welcoming host. We really enjoyed the breakfast too, they cooked us whatever variation of an English breakfast that we wanted and you could also help yourself to fruit, a fresh fruit salad, yogurts and cereals. We had a lovely time.

Review 79:The location close to Tenby Town and the car parking was close to the accommodation. A very welcoming host, a good breakfast selection and very helpful information re places to visit.

Review 80:Nothing to dislike.

Review 81:Loved everything, the owner was like meeting up with an old friend, we felt totally relaxed, room was lovely bed was out of this world (comfortable) and the morning breakfast was just right.. will be going back again hopefully very soon.

Review 82:Nothing that i didnt like, once the rest of the decorating is done this place will be excellant.

Review 83:Dave is very friendly, and cant do enough for you, the b and b is under referbishment so there are hallways that have bare plaster and needs new carpet but the rooms are virtualy done and are very modern comfortable and clean. We had a ten yr old and a 17week old so even with all the baby stuff and travel cot still plenty of room and storage in the rooms. The breakfast is lovley very well cooked and plenty of choice.

Review 84:Shower in the room lacked power and toilet took a very long time to fill back up after flushing.

Review 85:Very friendly owner. Great location. Breakfast services were excellent.

Review 86:We were made to feel extremely welcome, breakfast was fantastic. Everything in Tenby is easy to reach with a short walk. We brought bikes and could lock them up securely and every effort was made to accommodate all our needs.

Review 88:The host was lovely, very welcoming and informative. The guest house is in a great location for exploring Tenby. Really good breakfast cooked to order and a nice big pot of coffee.

Review 90:Personally I would have liked a hairdryer in the room and a full length mirror.

Review 91:The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful The room we stayed in was a triple room. It was a wonderful size and newly furnished to a high standard.

Review 92:The staffs are very friendy and helpful, which made me feel so warm. They will recommend some good places to go. If you have any questions, they will answer you passionately. What's more, the rooms are just decorated and the facilities in the rooms are new.
