Reviews for Trefloyne Manor
Review 1:I wish they had a indoor swimming pool.
Review 2:Hotel owners and staff were lovely and helpful. They Took every step to make our stay comfortable .rooms are clean big and spacious.hotel is at beautifull surroundings.anyone wants a quality peacefull time with family highly recommended.
Review 3:Friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful time. The Christmas decorations all added to the lovely style and decor of this very pleasant hotel. The food was delicious and the room comfortable and spotless.
Review 4:As the 'front of house' for the Trefloyne Manor, the very friendly and professional staff are a credit to this establishment and its owners. The Manor has been developed from an original 15th century house that was rebuilt in the 19th century. However, it is the most recent building additions that has brought it to the fantastic standard that it is. The quality of the rooms is matched by the fantastic standard of the food. This is a great place to stay, more so because, if you are a golfer, the Manor also has its own golf course! All in all, a great stay.
Review 5:Dont have anything bad to say about this hotel
Review 6:Great location stunning views over looking the golf course, room was immaculate and the food was amazing
Review 7:That we had to leave!
Review 8:Was made to feel at home as soon as we arrived! Stayed in the Hayloft which was perfect! Had a lovely meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning was excellent! We are hoping to make this a yearly event and stay here every anniversary!
Review 9:Even though we were the only people in the hotel there was no skimping on service. We had our own personal chef for dinner and a full breakfast buffet with nothing missing.
Review 10:Everything was superb but the downstairs music or music from a TV in downstairs bar went on at 7.50 am and was directly below our room... China room.so, slightly irritating when you're from a city and are lying enjoying the sound of nothing but the odd bird sound! Even with this little glich though, it was a fabulous stay!
Review 11:The breakfast was perfect....the breakfast room, the food, the coffee. All superb. Thanks
Review 12:You get the feeling it is first and foremost a golf club and only secondly a hotel. For example they still have the old fashioned custom of allocating the closest parking to the Assistant Vice Club Women's Captain rather than first come first served for hotel guests. So good parking sits empty and guests carry their cases further.
Review 13:Good view over the golf course
Review 14:We enjoyed our short stay at Trefloyne Manor and felt completely at home and very welcomed by staff. Great accommodation - spacious, lovely décor and very clean. Totally enjoyed breakfast with great food options available to suit everyone as well as a wonderful view out of the golf course. Will definitely recommend it to friends and wish we could have stayed an extra night.
Review 15:We didnt, a bit manic in the Hotel at times, Golf and Fashion Show, but didnt bother us at all.
Review 16:The welcome we received, our room fab, food fantastic deserves an award.Staff were great right across the board.
Review 17:It is a little overpriced for what it is. Room were hot, Wi-Fi was not existent and even though it says all the rooms are different, ours wasn't as nice as the one that was advertised in the picture.
Review 18:Breakfast was excellent, bed was very comfy and the hotel and surroundings were lovely. Quiet location, close to Tenby centre
Review 19:The staff were excellent and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Nothing was to much trouble and there was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Review 20:room was noisy. I could here talking from below coming up and echoing in the bedroom.
Review 21:staff were awesome, bed was the best ive slept in for years. restaurant was greatt
Review 22:Wi fi wasn't available in our room. Only around the bar area, which was very often occupied by golf club members. Would have preferred it in our room because we could use it at our leisure.
Review 23:The location within the golf course was very nice, the style of our room was also very nice. Breakfast was a good selection of continental and cooked and tasted great.
Review 24:The room was fantastic with a view over golf course and a Juliette balcony. The bathroom was huge. Food in restaurant..... excellent. Staff very polite ensuring it was a great time.
Review 25:The only thing that me and my partner found inconvenient was that the wifi in the room did not connect and only worked in the restaurant
Review 26:The Hotel room was excellent, very clean and cosey. The Staff were very helpful and polite and the food and wine was excellent.
Review 27:Nothing at all!
Review 28:Beautiful setting, couldn't fault the hotel at all! We were on our honeymoon and were given a free upgrade to the coach house, absolutely beautiful.
Review 29:The Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and so grateful for the staff for being so welcoming! The evening meal and breakfast was delicious, we were so impressed by the service! The room was stunning with a beautiful view! One of the best weekend getaways and hope to return very soon :)
Review 30:Room had little ventilation, and shower was a disappointing trickle. wi-fi signal was non existant!!
Review 31:smaller hotel in an idyllic location, very quiet. If you love fish, this is the place to eat, great choice.
Review 32:Main course of evening meal disappointing, but waiter very attentive, noticed and offered alternative.
Review 33:Lovely location, comfortable and clean. Beautiful dining room, very sunny and welcoming for breakfast.
Review 34:My friend and I stayed in the number 4 coach house and we couldn't have been happier with the room, staff an facilities. We also enjoyed a lovely (and reasonable priced) meal at the restaurant. The view is spectacular! My friend and I have already decided that we will be returning soon!
Review 35:Considering the expense of the hotel, it's a shame the wifi wasn't free!
Review 36:I throughly enjoyed my night away in Trefloyne Manor. Our room was outstanding and the food was lovely!
Review 37:Room was to small and had no wardrobe. Toilet seat was a poor quality plastic one.
Review 38:The staff and breakfast were excellent, the golf course looked very good even though we didn't use it.
Review 39:The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. We visited for our Wedding and were given a free upgrade to the Honeymoon suite, which was absolutely wonderful! The huge bed was lovely and comfy and the room was furnished to a high standard. We will definitely return!
Review 40:This place was fantastic. Brilliant friendly service, dinner was fabulous as was breakfast. The golf course was top quality. We will definitely be visiting again. Would highly recommend.
Review 41:We were a little disappointed on the second morning, as we were woken up at 8:15 by a member of staff using a tractor outside our room. He acknowledged us as we were walking to breakfast & there was no greeting or apology. The shower wasn't the cleanest, as we walked in to find someone else hair left behind. Also, we found the wifi wouldn't work on two devices at the same time. It worked on my iPhone, but not on my partners Samsung or out ipad:
Review 42:We stayed in the coach house, and we were very pleased with the free upgrade ! The area was peaceful and the view was beautiful.
Review 43:Very comfortable room in idyllic surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent with no need to travel out of an evening. Its all here.
Review 44:The only criticism we had was, while the room we were in was very nice with patio doors & very nice view, the weather was very warm so we had the patio doors open but what we think was the extractor fan for the kitchen fired up about 8am & continued till late in the night spoiling the peace, which was the only small criticism we had.
Review 45:The scenery was amazing, the room was very nice, bathroom excellent. And the staff were very helpful, but best of all was the food, it was outstanding, not cheap, but absolutely fabulous & cooked to the perfection of your choice consistently, from breakfast to dinner it wad excellent.
Review 46:There was an awards night when we had our evening meal in the same room, we were not told of this, they were very noisey and we couldn't hear each other but staff were excellent.
Review 47:They came over to apologise on more than one occasion about the noise, excellent service, lush food, and we got upgraded for our honeymoon :)
Review 48:Not taking my golf clubs - it would have ben nice to have an early round of golf.
Review 49:Great breakfast and the ability to sit outside and have a drink in the sunshine before dinner. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Surprisingly good quality
Review 50:We liked everything, so we have nothing to say here!
Review 51:This hotel is in a beautiful setting on a large golf course. Loads of parking space. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bed was a real king-size. The bathroom had twin wash-basins, a sunken bath and a walk-in shower, and the towels etc were changed every day. The restaurant orangery was relaxing and service was perfect.
Review 52:The only negative in room 10 there was a large fan extractor from the kitchen below which was quite noisy. They have done their best to cover it up.
Review 53:Breakfast was terrific. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Nice view. Excellent bathroom with choice of bath or separate spacious shower.
Review 54:Would have preferred a proper king size bed rather than two singles placed together as the join was uncomfortable.
Review 55:Lovely room in the old coach house. Superb position on golf course close to Tenby.
Review 56:Breakfast takes a while to arrive, up to 45 minutes we found from sitting down. Rooms lack the finishing touch required for its proclaimed 5 stars. 4 star would seem a more appropriate rating as 3 would be unfairly harsh.
Review 57:Helpful and friendly staff
Review 58:The noise from the building work being done outside of our rooms. We were not made aware of this prior to booking & when we commented to the staff, there was no apology or discount offered. Not a relaxing short break.
Review 59:Fantastic hotel in a great location. Bedrooms were very modern & clean. Food very good.
Review 60:Excellent time spent here! Wish I had more time to stay! Will Defintly be recommending and be coming back! Staff were amazing and welcoming and dont have one bad thing to say about my stay it was superb and thank you for everything!
Review 61:Excellent breakfasts and friendly staff from the welcoming receptionist to all the other staff we encountered during our stay. The hotel is immaculate and the 'extras' in the room such as water, biscuits etc were very welcome. Good to know products/food are locally sourced wherever possible.
Review 62:Beautiful location, great rooms, very comfortable. Lovely breakfast with great service. All staff are very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
Review 63:We stayed two nights. The breakfast experience on day one was average. Day two was a class apart and was truly superb. Felt like being in a totally different place!
Review 64:Peace and quiet Beautiful rural surroundings Helpful, friendly staff Golf on tap
Review 65:This is a golf club, so was extremely busy during the bank holiday weekend. We waited for 2 hours to be served our dinner. Don't be deceived by the pictures on the website, not all rooms are in fact equipped with free standing baths.
Review 66:The decor of the rooms (try to stay in the main house, rooms are much nicer than those that are referred to as "luxury" rooms in the coach house). Much more enjoyable during off oak times (bank holiday night was way too busy).
Review 67:The location was superb and our room and the rest of the facilities were wonderful. Good was fantastic! Staff were very helpful and as we had a 5 month old baby they couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Very close to Tenby town and we will definitely making another visit in the future to Trefloyne Manor.
Review 68:when we arrived we was give the bedroom in the manor, very noisey extractor fan from the kitchen and workmen working out, we asked to be moved and was given the China Room, this was done without any problem. First class service given.
Review 69:Breakfast First class asked for Grapefruit, Didnt have any but the Head House Keeper went and got me some from her Private Orchard, could'nt ask for more.
Review 70:Poor choice of over priced food, long wait and badly cooked breakfast with cheap ingredients, chest of drawers in the suite was almost impossible to use as the drawers stuck, clean towels every other day, floors were dirty in the restaurant. At £200 a night I expected a lot better. I have had better stays in much cheaper hotels.
Review 71:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean room.
Review 72:First room I was given hadn't had the bed made, when I asked if they could put a duvet cover and pillow cases on, I was moved to abother room. Beds in both rooms were two beds pushed together. Food takes a long time to be cook, waited 35 minutes for scrambled eggs one morning.
Review 73:Good TV, massive bedroom with a huge bathroom which had both bath and and seperate shower. Great food in the restaurant.
Review 74:Disappointed that the kitchen was closed on the Sunday evening because of delayed building works, but the cold 'picnic' delivered to our room was an excellent substitute
Review 75:Had to be moved to an apartment because of work to kitchens, but this worked out well for us, giving us plenty of room.
Review 76:no bathrobe or slippers to relax in which you expect at that price. Would of preferred a much bigger room, not much storage space, shows balcony but not allowed on it!!
Review 77:the scenery was inspiring, it was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 78:I felt that the cooked breakfast was a little dry. Although my husband did not think so. Heating was off in the afternoon, I felt chilled I was trying to take a nap.
Review 79:The general surroundings and ambiance of the hotel, and the Welsh coastline.
Review 80:Beautiful accommodation, luxurious rooms, stunning food and very attentive staff. Stayed here with our 2 young children and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome which is very often not always the case when staying somewhere of this calibre. I cannot recommend highly enough and we hope to return one day.
Review 81:I didn't like the fact that you advertised the room online ( room 2 ) the luxury double room , with the bath in the room , opposite the bed !! yet !!! The actual room we had was room 4. And the bath was upstairs stuck under the window !! Very disappointing , the hotel couldn't do anything about it .. We did mention it to them , and they said that YOU , shouldn't be doing what your going
Review 82:Everything , apart from the false advertising of the room
Review 83:We ate here and although the food was very good it was very busy and we felt a little forgotten but aside that was very good!!
Review 84:The rooms were amazing. very comfy and luxurious!!
Review 85:Dinner was very expensive & VERY POOR...£11 for a salad & a bit of packet smoked salmon, no dressing, sauce, capers...very dissapointing. Breakfast was OK like dinner served on cold plates in a v large dining area...so went cold almost immediately.
Review 86:Room was warm, cosy, modern...location was lovely, staff were really helpful...and wanted to please.
Review 87:STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMADATING.ROOM WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE , BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND SURROUNDINGS.iT WAS MY PARTNERS 50TH BIRTHDAY AND WAS A SUPRISE FOR HIM, VERY ENJOYABLE AND WOULD GO AGAIN
Review 88:Nothing to dislike.
Review 89:The staff are all exceptionally attentive and helpful, making our stay most enjoyable. The food was geat and our room very comfortable (and it was one of the smaller rooms!) - will definitely return.
Review 90:Not really a criticism but food service was slow but they where very busy. Would highly recommend and I will return in the future
Review 91:Lovely location and fanatic staff. Very impressed with the restraunt and real fire.
Review 92:excellent welcome , room clean and bed, bathroom excellent. Breakfast was cooked well , plenty of choice and staff very polite . Would stay here again as we enjoyed it so much.
Review 93:We didn't stay long enough !
Review 94:The whole ambiance was fantastic. The restaurant staff were brilliant and mindful of our presence and comfort. The food was fantastic and my Guinness was perfectly served at the right temperature. The room was very clean and of high quality. Parking was very easy
Review 95:A small thing but in such a generously proportioned room the TV was a little small.
Review 96:A beautiful quiet location a short distance from Tenby. Excellent food including the substantial breakfast. All the staff were very attentive and welcoming. A large comfortable room with views across the golf course.
Review 97:Weather could have been better! As far as the hotel - nothing.
Review 98:Being slightly out of town makes for a very peaceful location. The hotel represents everything that one expects! A great team, excellent cuisine in a stylish and very comfortable surroundings
Review 99:nothing to dislike
Review 100:couldn't have wished for a better place to spend this special occasion, fab location, accommodation and food, along with very polite and friendly staff. will definitely go there again.
Review 101:Could do with a sauna, pool, gym etc. More coffee in rooms I'm poor at Golf!
Review 102:Quality finish to rooms and hotel in general Really comfortable Bed Breakfast tasty Fish menu plus a la carte in evening Warm welcome Peace Guinness on tap
Review 103:There was nothing that we didn't like.
Review 104:Location was so peaceful, bed extremely comfortable, an amazing bathroom, excellent food and wine and lovely staff.
Review 105:Very minor point as an fantastic experience, but could hear grass being cut or strimmed from 7.30am on Saturday.
Review 106:Beautiful setting Beautiful decor Beautiful food, evening and breakfast Friendly helpful staff Welcoming atmosphere Excellent service Enjoyed local produce in food and local art and craft around the hotel
Review 107:Lack of a sensibly placed full length mirror. Also low level of lighting in the "Office".
Review 108:Having used the "Office" room and its bathroom we were delighted with the space, fixtures and overall comfort. Bar prices were low compared to where we live in the S. E. of England. Breadth of dinner menu and quality of food.
Review 109:If I had to say anything negative it would be that the towels could have been softer
Review 110:There was a golf course on the property and that was a great surprise. They were very helpful with suggestions and places to visit in the area and our room was very spacious, clean with a large bathroom
Review 111:We couldn't fault the hotel or the staff, both were wonderful and we really did not want to leave....in fact we're planning our next stay already and this time the golf clubs are going to. Can't wait!
Review 112:Our room was on the small side with just enough room to move around the bed but had a large bathroom with shower. Our room was in the Manor house itself but they did have other rooms outside which looked really good. The car park is unmade and chalky which gets everywhere particularly if it is raining.
Review 113:Restaurant very good and food bordering on excellent. Staff were really accommodating and it's location was very handy for visits to the local seaside.
Review 114:Lack of signage when we eventually found the Manor. It was difficult to differentiate between the way to the actual Manor and to the golf course car park. This was a bad start to our holiday. We were not in the room which we had booked but found out later that we had been upgraded but not informed of the change.
Review 115:Over all a very comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings. Although there were a few important things which needed ironing out they were dealt with one by one and this made our stay very enjoyable.
Review 116:A minor thing but a fridge in the room would have been nice ;-)
Review 117:Very friendly staff. Knowledgeable about local area. Extremely supportive of Ironman Wales 2014 competitors!
Review 118:Lack of information from the golf pro about the course condition, (The greens had been heavily worked on and sanded)before paying and playing... The service at breakfast was slow and parts of the food had been over grilled...
Review 119:It's location, The golf course. The solitude and quality.
Review 120:There was nothing that we did not like
Review 121:We thought the room had been well thought out. The food and choices were excellent as was the venue overlooking the golf course. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful The location was so peaceful and quiet but in easy excess forTenby if required. We will certainly be going back
Review 122:Hard to find fault with anything. The one evening we ate there was very quiet with only one other table occupied by non-residents, so the atmoshere was somewhat subdued. Maybe some creative marketing to encourage guests to dine there would address this. It seems a shame for the undoubted talents of the chef to be savoured by so few people. Given the mediocraty of the evening fare we experienced in town I wish we had eaten in the hotel for all our stay. Possibly some deals on the dinner, would encourage more people to partake of the excellent food on offer.
Review 123:Our room was very tastefully furished with inspiring views over the golf course. The restaurant was indeed a smart, sun-filled experience with a modern, expensively constructed decked terrace. The food quality was of a very high standard complemented by friendly, professional staff.
Review 124:Couldn't fault anything
Review 125:My partner and I stayed in the 'Office' room which was fantastic offering a large comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. We'll be returning as we enjoyed our stay so much! A very luxurious place in a great location!
Review 126:We like everything about Trefloyne - the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, beautifully appointed rooms, good food and the view over the golf green. We have visited many times and plan to do so again in the future.
Review 127:Slow service in restaurant, non availability of some dishes (including brown bread at breakfast) a few minor issues with room (bathroom light not working, hole in wall with exposed wires, no top up of shampoo mini bottles each day)
Review 128:Nice location, good facilities even for non golfers. Overall very nice.
Review 129:Disappinted straight away on arrival as couldn't check in due to computer failure (in fact, was never able to check in, only out!). Booked Superior Room with balcony and bath to find it was on ground floor with no bath! Told this cannot be promised if not booked direct with hotel! Well, without access to these internet sites the public would never get to know of these hotels! The following day we found the manhole cover off exposing all the affluent and sewage floating. Absolutely disgusting and smelling, not to mention health hazard. Told that was probably caused by children playing the day before at a Golden Wedding party.. What!!! Children having access to the cover and being able to play in this cess pit! Also, no replacement towels the next day (or even being refolded and reused if required). No replacement milk or biscuits with t/c facilities. Surely when paying for another night you expect the same facilities. Do you have to check out and then back in to get service (oh, forgot computer broke!). This was a special anniversary for us and felt very disappointed. I rarely leave personal reviews, except when hotel is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad.
Review 130:View, nice and quiet
