Review 1：there is only a small beach close to the hotel, but it's nice and also connected to the main beach

Review 2：friendly staff, great view, good breakfast - we definitely recommend the hotel. Just keep in mind that Tsilivi is a very touristic place... we were happy that there was no wedding during our stay (because it was end of the season - everything was more relaxed and quiet)

Restaurant meals very good and reasonably priced. Ten minute walk to the beach. We were there for a wedding and you could not wish for a better place to get married in Tsilivi.

Review 7：The hotel has a beautiful view as it's higher up on a cliff. The hotel is a bit further away from the centre of the town and the tourist crowds, which we absolutely loved. It was very piecful and quiet. We had rented a car (great free parking), which is a must for Zakynthos but if u don't have a car it might be a bit far to walk. The rooms were very well docorated with modern furniture, which is rare for the hotels in Zakynthos. THE FOOD! Best restaurant in Tsilivi, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. People from other hotels were making reservations at the restaurant. The staff were very nice, thanks to Eleni and Dimitris and the restaurant staff for the great stay!

Review 11：This is one of those magnificient places you would absolutely love for your wedding. Actually a lot of people do - and during our 4 night stay, we have seen 3 wedding parties. The loud popular music does not help your sleep nor the atmosphere in the restaurant. The room and the hotel were both clean all right, even though we have found a cockroach in the bathroom once.

Review 12：Great place and a beautiful view. Huge balcony in the room and a pleasant restaurant. Helpful staff and owners. We toured the whole island during our stay. Judging by what we have seen, Balcony may easily be the best place to stay on Zakynthos.

Review 17：After booking the hotel on booking.com I got a phone call from them telling me that the hotel had overbooked and for my inconvenience we will be upgraded to the best deluxe sea view room. Obviously we were excited by this and agreed to the change.When we got there reception refused to upgrade us as apparantly they sorted it out but failed to inform anyone. We were upset but he said there is nothing he will do. Breakfast is terrible and the orange juice is cordial. At night the children who seem to be related to the reception staff live on site and they scream as they play well into the night and you can't sleep. Some of the towels are getting very thread bare. Do not believe the digital rendering of the renovated rooms. The actual rooms look nothing like that. This is not acceptable for the prices they charge and it's just missrepresentation.

Review 36：My wife and I first visited the lovely village resort of Tsilivi when wewere newlyweds, and loved it. Fast forward 25 years and we were lookingfor somewhere special to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary -there really was only one choice of where to go, and where to stay. TheBalcony Hotel scores very highly on every review site and this is nofluke. It simply is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in,possibly the best. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful,and the hotel and its rooms are always spotlessly clean. The food - wow!Great traditional Greek dishes at very reasonable prices, eaten on theterrace with the view over Tsilivi bay and the accompanying sunset.Which brings me onto the view. That view! If there's a better placeto watch the sunset in Greece, or indeed Europe, I've yet to see it.But at any time of the day, to sit on your balcony looking out over theisland whilst listening to the sea gently lapping at the beach below isa treat for all of the senses, and makes what is already a brilliantplace to stay a truly great place for any occasion.

Review 37：I don't think these are hotel faults but wi-fi was really terrible and the road to reach the beach is very "unsafe", you basically have to walk on the road for good 10 minutes before reaching a more safe internal street. Perhaps better rent a quad-car or a scooter.

Review 50：Beautiful sunset view from the restaurant. Friendly staff and good location. Able to walk to the beach in 5-7 mins. We had an apartment and the fridge was not working but they swiftly replaced it. Best meal we had during our stay was at this restaurant also, we do not eat beef so at our request made a moussaka with minced pork. Very accommodating.

Review 51：Not a criticism as such, but the rooms are more modern than our taste and we found it more clinical looking than homely (this certainly did not detract from our stay at all).

Review 53：Staff was unwilling to break a large bill for me, which was frustrating considering there was a restaurant operating in the building. I felt breakfast started a little late (8:00), I wasn't able to eat breakfast several mornings because I had tours that left early. Wifi was awful and unreliable, which was my only way of contacting back home to keep them up to date and let them know I was safe. I stayed in budget hotels which much better connections. Hotel was located at the top of a decent hill, which made a great view over the beach, but was exhausting to climb after a long day of sight-seeing.

Review 54：Hotel was modern and comfortable, I'm excited at the deal I was able to get. There was a good spread for breakfast. I got to the hotel very early, and they were willing to hold my luggage while I went out to pass time until my room was ready, they also held it when I checked out because I had time to pass until my flight out.

The room was perfect, the view was awesome, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was nice. We will definitely go there again!

The beautiful location gives the tourists perfect chances for reach many interesting locations even walking distance. Review 69：The hotel was amazing in all possible aspects. The view was spectacular. That was the first thing that astonished us. The room was very clean and cosy. The staff were very friendly - they help us very much to explore the beauty of the island. We'll come back.

Review 78：-broken shower support - a/c stops and doesn't restart on it's own when you open the front door or balcony door even for 1 second (they should put a timer for the sensors); the a/c breaks down because of this, mine broke one day during my stay and i stayed 1 night with no a/c - every second day the omlette got blueish, even though they said it's fresh and i believe them. maybe they don't clean the equipment daily.

Also note that the hotel doesn't have that "touristy feel" that ruins most other hotels at places like this. Everything is and feels very genuine.
