Review 1：Please note that, in the winter, the hotel is not open until 4.00 p.m. The information from booking.com stated check in from 2.00 p.m. Hence having to sit in the car!!!!
Review 2：It's a good place to stay if you have an early morning flight out of East Midlands Airport.
Review 3：Bathroom floor in need of a replacing and the 14" portable TV did not work which was disappointing as we needed to retire early. Breakfast at £8.50 was a little expensive.

Carpet had frayed edges. Dirty marks on the walls. Mouldy sealant in the shower enclosure. Noisy drunk guests returning to their room In the early hours. Everything heard clearly through the thin walls. Expected better for the price.

Review 14：We were getting an early flight from EMA. We needed a good sleep. It was a Friday night so the bar directly below us was very noisy, the juke box was loud, the smokers stood outside our window were loud. Not helped by single glazing. The road was too noisy as well.

Bedroom noisy due to plumming from both our bathroom and other rooms. Whole hotel in desperate need of redecoration and carpets.

Review 34：We loved the design and decor of our bedroom and the restaurant - the owners have a real eye for beauty. Our room opened onto the garden - perfectly maintained and a joy to see on a spring morning. From the sound of it, the birds love it too.

Review 51：Upon arrival hotel has an odour of cheap cooking oil and stale food. A professional deep clean is necessary to remove this unpleasant aroma. Reception was un-manned and had to locate the receptionist. The tariff clearly states £70 double or twin, we were charged £80 - this did not include breakfast this was extra £8.50pp Room 12 (as we were led to believe was a superior room) was shabby and rather in need of a refurb. Plaster was on the walls chipped and cracked The shower had signs of microbial growth and mould, requires re-sealing and a thorough cleaning or replacment shower unit. Soft furnishings were grubby and stained. A dirty stained hand towel was amongst the inadequate towel bale being cheap and very well worn. This was replaced, but we were only permitted the replacement hand towel. This clearly was not a superior room and the tariff was not at the correct rate for this standard of room (£50 would be a fair reflection) We noted there was a rock band on as evening entertainment which did rather disturb our sleep (we did want an early night due to attending a race meeting the following day) We were greeted with a surly morning salutation upon our departure and a demand for the room key before we could even put down our cases when coming downstairs to the lobby. Upon departure we were observed by a member of staff rather beadily whilst we were packing our vehicle ready for our journey. This must be one of the most horrendous stays in an English town we have had the misfortune to experience. If we were tourists from abroad on holiday what a dismal picture dipicted to the tourist of how the English run a hotel or how not to run a hotel - this would be a good scenario for the HCITB or the Hotel Inspector. We would not reccommend this hotel to anyone Caveat Emptor.
