Reviews for Areos Polis Boutique Hotel
Review 1:The hotel is lovely, set in a fairly quiet square in the fantastic little town of Areopolis. The range of food offered for breakfast is remarkable, in addition to the standard cereals, bread, jam, honey, yoghourt, cheese, fruit juices etc. there were large dishes of scrambled egg with ham and tomato, croissants, greek cheese and spinach pie and a local speciality which is something like deep fried omelette (sounds awful but is delicious). Very good value for money.
Review 2:Property: the hotel could benefit from a renovation Location: centrally located but no sea view. Great to use as a base for day trips but if I would visit the area during summer again I would choose one of the hotels with sea view (which is truly breathtaking!).
Review 3:Staff: very friendly, very knowledgable about the area and able to give great tips for day trips. Location: right at the center of Areopolis, walking distance from all restaurants, shops, bars
Colazione buona.
Review 6:Poor service, not clean enough, a lot of facilities malfunctioning, overall not a value for money choice
Review 7:great location, nice traditional building, big room
Review 8:nothing
Review 9:The hotel which is family run was well situated in the main square. The rooms were a good size and clean. It was a nice village to walk around all on the flat, but there was a large section that was large cobble like stones, but still fairly flat and OK for getting around. The food and drinks in the square were very reasonably priced. Very quiet
Review 10:everything is stone and fixed brand new. We were just stopping by one night to see the city and some beach places in the nearby. It was nice to stay there and go to eat in the tavernas of the city.
Review 11:The hotel is in the center of a very pretty town. It is very comfortable with large rooms and a very nice breakfast. It is a great value for the money
Review 12:Some rooms are much nicer than others, and with a better view, but overall they are all ok; bathroom is ok, but a bit small
Review 13:Pros: Nice building; excellent breakfast included (one of the best Hotel breakfasts ever); placed right next to the main town square which is very cute; staff are kind and friendly (though owner does not speak English); has a nice terrace
Review 14:The town of Areopoli, the churches and the frescos
Review 15:it's a really pretty town, and the hotel overlooks the town square
Review 16:We were given an upgrade and it was a fab suite overlooking the square
Review 17:Modern comforts Perfect location for exploring town Good location for day trips to Mani region
Review 18:Nothing.
Review 19:Very kind and helpful staff. Location. Quite spacious and comfortable room..
Review 20:Bathroom
Review 21:Breakfast
Review 22:Very comfortable, quiet room and welcoming, friendly staff. Traditional Greek hospitality at its best. The breakfast in particular was fantastic (all locally sourced ingredients and home made produce). Highly recommend this hotel.
Review 23:The AC was set to Heat at night and Cold during the day
Review 24:One of the best hotels in the area, excellent and friendly staff, happy to accommodate. Price was good. Would come again.
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Probably the best hotel in town: at the entrance of the old town, in the main square. Nice personnel, modern room but in a building which respects the traditional style. Good breakfast, great quality/price ratio.
Review 27:Being ignored by staff member at breakfast. The room was prepared for double occupancy, although 2 singles were requested when booking, though this was quickly rectified
Review 28:One staff member was very helpful, a second not so, but this may have been because of a language problem
Review 29:- The bathroom (room 113) a bit small.- The bed had couple of bolts loose, making it crackle even by breathing. Had to tight by hand. -In the shower, the door was almost to colapse. Some maintenance would be needed.
Review 30:- Easy acceccible in the main square- WiFi both in the room and main loby - Friendly people at the reception - The balcony of the room although a bit small, but enough to enjoy a relaxing view to the square
Review 31:The village itself is delightful, the receptionist was so helpful and friendly and hotel is easily the best we have stayed at for that price in Greece so far.
Review 32:Maybe, just maybe,a little bit overpriced. And the breakfast could have more of the local flavours and food which are so marvelous...for example, could someone imagine a breakfast in Mani without Kalamata olives ? But, finally, everything was fine and we really enjoyed our stay in Areos Polis Boutique hotel.
Review 33:Perfect location, just in central square of Areopolis.Clean, good taste and nice stuff.A perfect place to start your trips in Mani Peninsula.Which, by the way, it's a fantastic piece of land and sea.
Review 34:If you ask for double room you will get a bed has 2 matresses Βreakfast was a bit poor,it could be better! The door of the shower was difficult to close in room 102!
Review 35:Excellent location in Aeropolis,in front of the main square and next to stores, like mini market , pharmacy, cafes and souvlatzidiko. The view of the mountains is kinda breathtaking! The room was nice with fridge and tv !I think is the best place to stay in Aeropolis!
Review 36:Although advertised as having WiFi in all areas I could not connect in my room and had to stay in the main lounge to get a signal.
Review 37:Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Close to main plaza and easy access. I was cycling in Greece and they let me bring my bike into the room.
Review 38:The owners were so very kind and helpful. They treated me like family. The baby was an appreciated extra because while traveling I so rarelysee small children. What a delight! Breakfast ran until 11:30, great forlate risers. The location right on the square was ideal for wanderingaround the little town. I couldn't get lost. Directions and mapswere readily available.
Review 39:The bathroom was a bit on the small side but honestly this did not bother me while there.
Review 40:The staff was great. They gave us a lot of nice tips about the area and made themselves always available to help us plan our vacation better. The breakfast was great - with home made pies, jams and desserts. Very convenient location.
Review 41:Great hotel! Very kind and helpfull staff. Location is perfect, right at the center of the village. All facilities are more than enough, even for demanding people. The breakfast was super. I will be visiting this hotel again in the near future.
Review 42:Various issues. I was plagued by mosquitoes in the room - ok on the second night after they gave me an anti-mosquito gadget, but this must have been a known issue, as there were squashed mosquitoes on the wall. I was there Saturday night, and being on the town square it was very noisy until 4 am. The water when I emptied the bath came up through a plug in the bathroom floor and into the bedroom too. My booking was for a balcony room with view but I was not given one.
Review 43:Breakfast ok.

Review 45:Loose soaprack and missing part to toilet flush.
