Reviews for Celtic Haven
Review 1:We love staying here! The complex and staff are so helpful and child friendly. Our two kids are under 4 and there is loads for them yo do and they love staying here- the pool is perfect size and the restaurant is very welcoming and serve fantastic food. Looking forward to our next stay!
Review 2:Such a peacefull location to escape to and with Tenby a short drive away its a perfect mix. We didnt see many people or staff but when we did they were always very helpful. We will definitley be returning in the summer!!!
Review 3:Friendliness of staff. Young person in office stayed to book us in. When asked for a baby gate so we could put our puppy in the kitchen and know he was secure till we went to Waves she rang maintenance to fine out where they kept them and the brought it to the cottage. Facilities great as was location. Waves excellent food and very nice staff. With weather being good it was the icing on the cake
Review 4:A very limited amount of crockery and cutlery to use. Water pressure in the shower very low.
Review 5:Large comfortable bed. A quiet and scenic location with a lot of on site recreation facilities. Easy parking.
Review 6:I think to make it pet proof the gardens should have had extra fencing as our dogs did escape once or twice and I was worried as there is a main road near by. The pool area was lovely but is probably due a little more investment to make it even better.
Review 7:The accommodation was amazing! Wish we could stay there longer! Hearty, warming, clean cottages. Staff very friendly & helpful!
Review 8:Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Well equipped comfortable cottage with lots of space and private garden. Very handy for Tenby and surrounding region. Waves restaurant provided variety menu, well-cooked and presented.
Review 9:The opening times of pool and gym could be slightly earlier.
Review 10:Location, lovely cottage, felt like a nice little village/community. Great facilities, friendly and helpful staff.
Review 11:My only negative comments would be regarding cleanliness. There were a few stray hairs around our cottage when we checked in and there were a few bits of litter left around the pool when we first visited. That being said, we were allowed to check in very early so we quickly disregarded these minor issues.
Review 12:The restaurant was by far the best bit about our stay. The food and wine was very reasonably priced and the portions were very generous-they proved a bit too generous for us as we were too full for dessert! The restaurant staff were extremely accommodating and gave us lots of advice about things to see and do in the area. There really would be no need to dine anywhere else during your stay.
Review 13:Bathroom in our cottage was far away from the bedrooms (The Bakery). The content of the kitchen (cookware, cutlery etc.) was below standard.
Review 14:Quiet setting amids nature, great for golfers, children can play on their own, very friendly and helpful staff! Spacious cottage.
Review 15:We loved the location of Celtic Haven and the views were beautiful, particularly from the spa itself and the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and really could not do enough for us. The restaurant had a very good daily menu as well as specials each day. The food was excellent and very competitively priced. We wouldn't think twice about going to Celtic Haven again.
Review 16:Paper thin walls in the cottage. The couple next door were very noisy in the bedroom dept. we could hear everything! The steps up to the 4th tee on the golf course were dangerous. It was a lot of money for 3 nights stay. Didn't use the spa - too expensive.
Review 17:Meal in restaurant was excellent, food and staff in the restaurant also excellent. The golf course was good. Facilities in the cottage were good. Bed was comfortable. Indoor pool was nice.
Review 18:We stayed in the tack room cottage was awesome and comfortable and my girlfriend loved it, the site was nice and quiet and so managed to complete IM Wales 2014 on the Sunday :-)
Review 19:Accommodation was not sound proof in any way and you could hear through the walls within the cottage including anyone going to the loo. Bedroom very small and sofas small and uncomfortable.
Review 20:Excellent location with beautiful views over countryside to the sea. Good facilities for children's activities. Accommodation was very clean and looked good with a good range of equipment to self cater.
Review 21:Fantastic site , spa facilities friendly helpful staff
Review 22:Really friendly staff, who were happy to help and enjoyed providing a great level of service.
Review 23:Cozy cottage, lovely restaurant, warm pool (wish it was larger to accommodate all the guests)
Review 24:Contemporary decor of cottage. Comfy beds. Beautiful well maintained resort.
Review 25:Can't take dog on restaurant
Review 26:Lovely location very near the sea
Review 27:Wifi was awful but that's not necessarily a bad thing when on holiday.
Review 28:The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed.
Review 29:Could hear every word from next door
Review 30:Downside was that the restaurant was fully booked on our first night and closed on the second.
Review 31:Great location and facilities.

Review 49:location was breathtaking, the little apartment was perfect and suited our needs and was very welcoming and comfortable. Best trip. We shall be back
Review 50:lack of rugs and mats - very cold floors
Review 51:location fine views
Review 52:Everything
Review 53:The time went too quickly
Review 54:We could do as much or as little as we wanted. Great restaurant on site, and good pub within a few minutes walk.
Review 55:Beautiful views, friendly helpful staff. Lovely spa
Review 56:Got a cottage very close to the road. The var noise was annoying in the early mornings.
Review 57:The garden wasn't enclosed for our small dog
Review 58:The leisure facilities
Review 59:Poor shower facility in our bathroom .
Review 60:Superb location and friendly staff .good restaurant
Review 61:Nothing really. Couldn't eat in restaurant but that was our own fault for not booking in time
Review 62:Combination of freedom of self-catering with facilities of a good quality hotel. Well and professionally run establishment with friendly and helpful staff. Cottage was pleasant and cliff top setting was beautiful
Review 63:not much, but a small qriting desk will be nice
Review 64:friendly,flexible and efficient staffs. good security and management without overwheming control. Wifi extended to guest rooms and one feels the managwment is generous ...
Review 65:The place itself is rather remote and there is nowhere to walk, if you fancy a stroll - you need a car or at least a bike to get to any place of interest or for a hike.
Review 66:Location is great - a set of cottages in the middle of nowhere - just what you need to relax and forget about the city hustle. The views are stunning - cottages are located on the top of the hill overlooking the rocky coastline. It's just 5 mins of walk to a beach if you want to be closer to the sea. Waves restaurant is also good serving a good quality food with generous portions. I liked the Spa which has an extensive menu and fairly professional therapists (for the European Spas, of course).
Review 67:The double bedroom was small and the ceiling sloped.
Review 68:We liked the leisure facilities I.e. Table tennis, tennis, trampoline, boules etc. great fun playing outside for older children.
Review 69:As you had to leave at 10 am would have been nice to have a coffee but waves not open, not a big issue really
Review 70:Bungalow lovely but sadly almost impossible to use shower had to use leisure facilities, loved everything else though
Review 71:We stayed in tack rooms which was very nice but unfortunately it was a bit of a squeeze in the double bed that we had and I think some things like coasters for the tables upstairs and some more soft furnishings like cushions and some throws for the leather sofa would have made it a bit more homely.
Review 72:Fantastic place and the staff were all wonderful really nice people.
Review 73:What a lot of mobile homes and static caravans in the area - not your fault!
Review 74:Simple but very comfortable furnishing, with good taste. Restaurant food was very tasty. All staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Very quiet at night so easy to sleep. Nicely presented site.
Review 75:The floor in the cottage was dirty. It was gritty under foot and had previous occupiers hairs stuck on bedroom floor. Cutlery and glasses also dirty. Once i asked for a mop and bucket this was rectified but i Shouldn't have needed to ask. The bedroom also had a horrible smell of mildew. I had an upset tummy after leaving the restaurant on the first night so we ate out for the rest of our stay. The reviews were fantastic for this resort and this break was booked to celebrate a special Anniversary so i was disappointed with our stay.
Review 76:Fabulous views. Great location, easy to explore west wales from here. Nice size cottage for two with all the utensils etc you need for your stsy
Review 77:n/a
Review 78:we enjoyed our stay at Celtic haven it has a relaxed feeling around it , fantastic views the cottages are of a high standard, would stay there again.
Review 79:We booked because it was a pet friendly place. However despite it saying there was an enclosed garden, the dog could get through the fence which didn't allow us to relax in the garden at all.
Review 80:Friendly welcome, nice pool, spa.
Review 81:There was nothing to dislike.
Review 82:We arrived early for our stay and the staff did everything to get our accommodation ready. We had a warm welcome from the staff who were all very friendly. We stayed in the Dovecotes which was ample accommodation for my daughters and myself. The property had everything you could need . It was nice to have a terrace to sit outside and have a quiet drink in the sunshine. The views from the terrace of the Waves restaurant are stunning and the food was excellent. The weather couldn't have been any better .What a great weekend.
Review 83:Bar and restaurant closed on Sunday night, but then there's a pub 200 yards up the road, so not really a problem!
Review 84:Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and layout, peace and quiet and space.
Review 85:Flemish cottage - access to garden having to go out of cottage to the side. Flemish cottage - layout of easy chair was cramped, too cloe to stairs. Suggest different arrangement/furniture?
Review 86:location - close to beach & Tenby, cleanliness of cottage, activities, friendly staff, towells & linen, able to take pet.
Review 87:The rain....but not in anyones command.
Review 88:The facilities are well thought out , the free dvd loans, the pool theout door facilities for the children. The safe enviroment, therestaurant was very welcoming & very good with the children, we gotthere after reception was closed & were told to go straight to ourbungalow where a warm atmosphere greeted us with local radio playing& side lights on. Lovely start to our break.
Review 89:thought the sauna could have been nearer the pool and the changing rooms and lockers larger.
Review 90:i liked the accommodation , the spa treatments, the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
Review 91:The whole experience. The cottage was well equipped and spacious. The pool and hot tub a great facility. Good areas for younger guests to play too. A great location. The Waves restaurant offered good quality food of good portions.
Review 92:We would highly recommend a stay at celtic haven. We had a well needed family break where everyone enjoyed themselves. There are plenty of things for the children to do after returning from exploring the stunning beaches and castles in the area. The cottages are snug but comfortable. We will definitely be returning
Review 93:By cold weather, the cottages are a little bit difficult to heat correctly
Review 94:Friendly staff Good and easy to use common facilities (small but nice swimming pool, golf, spa) Nice views on the Pembrokeshire coast
Review 95:Cabin was freezing cold when we arrived. When we lacked toalettpaper it was difficult to get new so we bought this ourselves. It was a bit to much wilderness for us. When we told we had one vegetarian and two of us didn't eat meat they should have been better on service for food.
Review 96:The cabins where super. 1st day lovely breakfast received in cabin. The cabins was huge and very comfortable.
Review 97:Our cottage wasn't ideal for a 14 month old, but this is NOT a criticism of Celtic Haven.
Review 98:Friendly staff, lovely accomodation, high chairs, stair gates and cot all available, amazing swimming pool
Review 99:Being told that the restaurant was closed the evening of our arrival (Wednesday) and also the following day due to a wedding-we were staying for three nights so it rather upset our dining plans for our break. The actual wedding was also very noisey! The electric shower was totally inadequate for our needs. Some nice rugs on the tiled floors would also be a nice touch? I wrongly thought that B&B would mean that we went to the restaurant for breakfast but this was not the case and we were left the food in our room although on two days I had to remind them to bring it to us!
Review 100:Location
Review 101:Nothing
Review 102:The spa treatments.
Review 103:The setting. Peace and quiet.
Review 104:wish they sold a few basic items such as milk and bread not a big issue as local shop really good.
Review 105:lovely setting, friendly staff. lovely cottage.
Review 106:Great view from the room
Review 107:Pool and jacuzzi area could do with a refurb
Review 108:Location, cottages, friendly and helpful staff, free upgrade
Review 109:We found we were able to relax totally and the views were tremendous.
Review 110:Cottage was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. Its not far from the beach or from Tenby itself.
Review 111:The complex could do with an upgrade - gym is old - poor garden facilities etc
Review 112:The cottage was clean and comfortable
Review 113:good accomodation. good restaurant, dog friendly, good location to explore pembrookeshire
Review 114:Excellent standard of accomodation.
