Reviews for The Havelock
Review 1:First room was much too small for a couple with a pet. More like a single room and toilet facility extremely basic.
Review 2:Food was very good and reasonable. Overall the staff were helpful and we did enjoy our stay.
Review 3:As mentioned, it is an older building but the new owners as of August 2015 are working on it.
Review 4:The location is excellent. You are in view of the North Sea from the hotel, within easy walking distance. The downtown shopping district and bus stop to Inverness (a 15 minute busride awsy) are also within walking distance. The free breakfast provided at the Braeval Hotel just a few doors down is excellent, not to mention the view of the ocesn. The Braeval Restaurant had the best food during our 34 day trip...EXCELLENT!!! The staff are THE BEST. The Havelock is an older building but everything else makes up for it. The musical entertainment...1st Class Acts!!! Nairn was our DIAMOND location during our travels. Loved it here!
Review 5:On check-in we were advised that breakfast is served in a differenthotel, would have been nice to have been advised of this on bookinghotel. Carpark too small and nowhere to park near hotel if carpark full.Hotel itself is scruffy on the outside and our room handle was broken. Abit mean on the hospitality tray. Tiniest kettle ever, 2 big mugs, 4coffee sachets, 2 tea sachets and 4 small sugar sachets. You can go downto bar to ask for more sugar but really didn't want to go downbecause the bar sounded very busy. Noise from bar can be heard clearly,so not ideal for families. Lastly price is more expensive than it'ssister hotel which is far superior. Would not stay at Havelock again.Had to go to other hotel to find someone to check us out as no staffwere in this hotel. I also had to let a member of staff in as there wasno-one there to let him in to start his shift
Review 6:It was close to the beach
Review 7:The staff were brilliant especially the manager. the meal in their newly opened restaurant served fantastic and well priced steaks and service was fast and friendly.
Review 8:Bedroom fairly tired, although clean.
Review 9:Great bar attached, Tuesday night quiz night.
Review 10:Didn't use the shower as lots of black mould around the bath sealant.
Review 11:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The four poster bed was a first.
Review 12:Great attitude from staff, massive room, good menu and excellent food, Off road parking and two minutes walk to the Beach for a after Dinner walk!
