Reviews for Sea View Hotel

Review 1:The queen size bed is two single beds put together, while sleeping the separate and it becomes uncomfortable and annoying. The simple fix for this problem is to connect both beds with small plate and screws to stop it from moving apart.

Review 2:The staff

Review 3:The only one problem in a standard room -there is neither socket in a bathroom, no hair drier.

Review 4:Everything is just fine : location, room service, helpful and polite staff. The supermarket is two minutes walk, tram to Athens - in 5 min. Beach - 3 min . 10 min by taxi to Vougulmeni lake - natural mineral thermal spa.

Review 5:Wi-fi is not for free. Not soundproof rooms.

Review 6:Exellent,very rich breakfast,very helpfull stuff,cosy rooms,close to the sea,not far from center,in a quite silent street.

Review 7:Poor attitude from reception staff, poor interest into whatever request. The customer who occupied the room before me obviously had some problems with the mosquitos, traces of his shoes and the dead mosquitos a still printed on the wall. Room 215. Bad quality AC doesn't work properly. Hints for you to know: Rooms from ending by 1-8 are partial sea view overlooking an abandoned hotel, poor insulation sounds of the cars from the road are very loud and disturbing, rooms ending by 9-11 are overlooking the backside (mountain view) you will have the sun right in your face on sunrise, poor quality curtains and the rooms heat up the AC won't help much. Rooms from 11-15 will overlook the backyard full of scrap of all sorts. Keep in mind the dog of the neighbors cause it won't stop barking. Big beds are not big beds they are two small beds joined together that will separate very easily during your night sleep. If you are planning for some action with your partner keep that in mind you might end up on the floor. Handrails on balcony are of a cheap and poor quality careful when you lean on or if you have kids. Internet is 9€/20hrs of use. All other hotels give that for free. Breakfast is an additional cost of 7€, and you'll have the waitress running after you while you just walked in as if you are gonna runaway after you eat (so pathetic).

Review 8:Restaurants around the hotel at a walking distance are very good.

Review 9:could not see the sea enough.....not really an issue

Review 10:room was excellent. location great. staff extremely helpful. access to central athens was easy and quick either by coastal tram or via bus A5. Access to an from the airport was easy also via bus X96.

Review 11:traffic noise at night

Review 12:the staff were very helpful and happy. The building was kept clean and tidy. parking was available. hotel is close to several good resteraunts. the trams are within walking distance. Had a feel of a family run hotel, and would be happy to come back again.

Review 13:Not much of a "sea view" from my room. It was rather a nice side road view.

Review 14:Nice, spacy, modernly decorated and clean room with king size bed and an excellent, quite comfortable matress.

Review 15:Paying for Internet access

Review 16:Ive stayed in various hotels in glyfada and this was the best by far. Modern comfortable reasonably priced Will use again for sure

Review 17:The bed was uncomfortable because of its hardness. I prefere softer materases but if you like sleeping in a stone this would be perfect

Review 18:I liked very much the design of this hotel especially the lobby and the outdoor bar

Review 19:The staff were fantatstic - really helpful and always cheerful. The tram and the bus stop were really close and Glyfada centre has a great choice of places to eat.

Review 20:No hairdryer, no iron/ironing board even when asked for it (ironing service very cheap though), no coffee machine in the room, breakfast only until 10 although hotel full of tourists sleeping late

Review 21:Very clean hotel, close to center of Glyfada, lots of restaurants around and a wonderful beach club 200m away.

Review 22:This hotel has no sea view at all. The swimming pool is located at the shade side of the hotel whole day, so no sunbathing there. Breakfast is not fresh, nor healthy. Receptionists are not polite and give wrong information (we had to pay €54 for a taxi instead of the €16 amount the receptionist told us while calling the taxi). The price of this hotel per night is much higher than it deserves to be.

Review 23:Some traffic noise coming from the large avenue

Review 24:Good location with lot of restaurants near by. Reasonable breakfast (natural Orange juice would improve general quality).

Review 25:The only negative is that you have to pay for wifi.

Review 26:The hotel staff we MORE than accommodating. On my second stay in the same month, they had a room available for me at 9:00 am knowing that I had been in a sailboat forv2 weeks. Thank you Katerina!!!

Review 27:The breakfast wasn't great, but it was OK. I only had it on one day. It takes about an hour on the tram to get to Athens, so if you want to go there regularly, I felt it was too far away.

Review 28:I liked the Decor of the hotel. I loved that the room had a blackout curtain and a voile curtain, which meant it was great for sleeping and I could have light & privacy during daylight. The bedding was also great. Cotton sheet and cotton bed throw. It was well situated for the Tram into Athens.

Review 29:Our bathroom was very small possibly the reason why the room was on a special offer. One had to go to sleep with closed doors due to city noise. Beyond that we had no complaints.

Review 30:The hotel is very well situated in terms of public transport and there are excellent shops and restaurants within really easy walking distance. The pool is big enough to be able to swim and front desk provide sarongs. The room was tastefully decorated

Review 31:We did not like the wify. It was not free and was not user-friendly to log in or out.

Review 32:The room was very nice and the bed was amazingly comfortable memory foam. The breakfasts were superb and fresh.

Review 33:The only thing that could've been better was if the bathroom door wasn't glass. As I stayed with friends this made it a little awkward.

Review 34:The staff was friendly, the service was great. They helped us a lot in planning our trips for site-seeing.

Review 35:* not really sea view but ok, i was there for business * breakfast was really poor in choice..great watermelons but that was about it. left hungry every morning and thought it was pretty ridiculous that the breakfast lady came out of the back office only to ask for the room number..even after 6 days (it was not like it was crowded and a greeting would have been the least)

Review 36:* good location within walking distance to restaurants, main street for shopping and beach * modern nice and cosy interior

Review 37:We were unfortunate to experience a problem with the lift not working on our early departure. No staff on hand early morning to help with luggage. However not to distract from excellent pool facilities and great location.

Review 38:The location of this Hotel is perfect.

Review 39:The hotel is far from center of Athens and is at same distance from theairport as the center. The pool wasn't clean. The rooms weren'tvery clean either. Stains on bath, on carpet and walls. Stuff was veryunkind and snobbish. And there is no free wifi. I wouldn't recommendstaying there at all.

Review 40:The pics on website look nice

Review 41:I would say that the hotel has a very Friendly, cheerful & helpful staff with all the meanings, nice location, clean rooms and for myself with loads of emails over 150 per day with attachment "wifi was working perfectly".

Review 42:Internet is paid.

Review 43:This hotel is great! It's worth 4*... I've stayed in worst 5* hotels! Great decoration of the ground floor and outside areas. They allowed us to check in few hours earlier.

Review 44:1st night there young guys next door didn't stop yelling etc till the early hours of the morning. Only disappointment was soundproofing in rooms is a major probable it also come from balconies.

Review 45:Location close to beach, nice pool, lots of quality restaurants nearby. Greek mature lady at reception exceptional at solving any problems.

Review 46:- the room was clean and comfortable and everything however for me the mattress was a bit hard. I used it for 2 days and was completely fine, however I would prefer a softer one. - the breakfast was just fine.

Review 47:The location of the hotel was perfect. The staff super extra nice and friendly and helpful. They were keen that we get an early check in as we arrived early and that what happened.

Review 48:Staff were extremely rude and very unwelcoming except for the young poolboy and young bartender. Young girl never greeted us and the older manwas very unhelpful. The lift broke the morning we were checking out andwe were three girls needing help carrying out luggage down 3 flights ofstairs and after asking for assistance he simply said no.

Review 49:Very nice hotel, clean and modern, pool was great and hotel food wasamazing. Very centrally located.

Review 50:Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good quality. Room - air con was adequate, shower wasn't brilliant but similar to other hotels we have stayed in Greece, bed great - very comfortable. Refrigerator is actually a mini bar. Safe in room. Pool area lovely - variety of seating options, although loses the sun in the late afternoon. Location of hotel very good - right by a bus stop for arrival from Athens airport, near a tram stop to get into central Athens, near the main street in Glyfada.

Review 51:I've never stayed at a hotel that made you pay for WiFi. This was totally absurd. Also when I asked for an iron, I was told there were no irons on hand but I could wait until the next morning for the laundry service to take care of it.

Review 52:The rooms were very clean.

Review 53:Breakfast was not very good orange juice was not fresh and coffee not good. Also there was no wifi even in the reception area or lounge

Review 54:The location of the hotel is very good and rooms are nice and comfortable with a nice terrace with side view of the sea

Review 55:No iron arrived fir wedding in 3 has was told bad luck no hair drier toilet right up against bath door tight fit was ok but wouldn't stay again For

Review 56:Noisy and very busy road very close by though it didn't keep us awake.

Review 57:Top floor room gave good sea view to the left. Breakfast perfectly adequate. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious clean and modern room and bathroom Location five mins to beach and five mins to main shopping area. Excellent value.

Review 58:Aged hotel even after renovation. Noisy air conditioning system. The room we got did not justify the hotel name 'sea view' as it was facing the pool on the back. Pool was small and water not really clean.

Review 59:Good location in South Athens by the coast. Easy access to Athenian beaches

Review 60:There were many things that we didnt like there. First of all that is not a 4 stars hotel...maybe 3. When we came there the receptionist was not so kind how she ussually has to be...more of this she did'nt reconise us that we came one day before and paid the room. After long discusions she found us there but we had to wait 40 minutes because the room was not ready. They say you can come from 14:00 but the room was not ready at 16:00 :))))) The breakfast very cheap..the same food everyday. Also the name of Sea View has nothing to do with their position. The hotel is between other buildings...not near to the sea. It was a bad experience for us and I would not recommand to anyoane try it.

Review 61:The bed was very good to sleep..the room was clean but very small...tv channel only in greek..so we couldnt watch anything...

Review 62:Very uncomfortable pillows. The bathroom needs refurbishing.

Review 63:Lovely lobby, bar, and pool area. Kept very clean. Nice and friendly staff. Decent breakfast (good food, though poor coffee).

Review 64:Two single beds joined for a couple ! Quality of beds were really sad. Every 5 mind, the beds moved apart from each other, creating a gap. Not stable at all, couldn't sleep the night ! Lift not working, no aervices of bell boy. Have to get lheavy uggage down by myself. Paid WiFi. Paid breakfast.

Review 65:Clean n cozy room. Great location in glyfada.

Review 66:Internet was an additional charge. I expected more based on the reviews.

Review 67:Great location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Quick 30 minute ride to the airport.

Review 68:No sea view! I stayed at the back of the hotel and saw the storage place for the hotels unwanted appliances!

Review 69:Hotel a good base. Location to the Balux cafe great for a sandy beach cost €4 a day for sun bed.

Review 70:Expensive Wifi

Review 71:I thought the price was too good to be true but it was even better than expected. Great Pool and sun loungers, close to loads of restaurants and the beach although the closest one you had to pay 5 euros to enter but for this you got sun loungers for the day. Would definitely recommend.

Review 72:Wi Fi was a bit disappointing but staff were very good and understanding and provided extra time.

Review 73:Excellent buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day. Questions answered by the very friendly receptionists.

Review 74:Paid wifi. Most other hotels have free wifi included especially at that price. This was disappointing. Also the shower was terrible. Really no need for a bath in the room so would have preferred a normal shower. Also the shower head was terrible. Needs a new shower head asap.

Review 75:The room was nice, good size and had been newly renovated. The hotel location was great. Easy walking distance to the cafes restaurants and shops in Glyfada.

Review 76:A more accurate name would be the Tree View Hotel. You can hang precariously from your balcony if you want to see a little view. They consider a double bed two singles pushed together. Breakfast was abysmal. The "eggs" were the nastiest mix of fake eggs we've ever eaten.

Review 77:There really is absolutely nothing to like about this hotel. A more accurate name would be the Tree View Hotel. You can hang precariously from your balcony if you want to see a little view. They consider a double bed two singles pushed together. Breakfast was abysmal. The "eggs" were the nastiest mix of fake eggs we've ever eaten.

Review 78:I was there 7 nights, free wifi only 5 days.

Review 79:The location is perfect. A 3 minute walk and there is a variety of restaurants and shops available. You are just 2 blocks away from the main Glyfada street. Beach across the road and place is wonderful. Comfy beds, helpful and kind staff. Wifi was fast and at a good rate. Connectivity to Athens city centre us great and both airport. Breakfast is good not insane but the necessary, eggs, cereal, sausages, milk, juice, bread, croissant.

Review 80:It was noisy in a room near the shore road running along south Athens but next day switched to room facing Glifada and it was great.

Review 81:Great interior design, excellent value for money.

Review 82:Room are very small, you can hear all the noise from the outside, breakfast should include some real fruits

Review 83:Its a nice cute hotel, close to the beach, staff is really nice and accomodating

Review 84:There is nothing i didnt like

Review 85:Comfortable bed and the room decoration according to my taste, very good. Relaxing environment. Exactly what is needed. Very clean as well

Review 86:Old bathroom with the shower curtain hanging. Internet with charging is out of question in most hotels in the world.

Review 87:Good location if u want to be in Glyfada. Renovated bedroom.

Review 88:Room is very small. Noisy as we can hear the other room and there was dogs barking all the night near the hotel. wifi is not free. Stuff need to learn how to smile :)

Review 89:Location and price is good..

Review 90:Warm and cosy room. Beautifully designed in relaxing colours. Very comfortable bed with duvet for chilly winter nights. Bathroom was dated but adequate and clean.

Review 91:No free wifi and they also have locked the music channels were are free to air. That is really annoying.

Review 92:The hotel is great, clean and in very good location. Very friendly stuff as well.

Review 93:A bit old fashined and small bathroom. Receptionist could be more welcoming.

Review 94:Very nice room and very comfortable bed. Very good location and price-quality balance.

Review 95:Really warm inside the room unable to control the temprature, result in window kept opened with conseguent noise from outside and Mosquitos even if was December.

Review 96:Position, lady at reception.. Only the lady.

Review 97:Let's start from check in!It was the 4th or 5th time I was staying at this hotel and once more I was asked at the reception to fill in all the information on the registration card. The signature and way of payment is ok but writing the first/last name, date of birth every time I check in is just a waste of time. Save it in your data!!! The room they gave us had stains on the couch, hair on the chair and some white stains on the bathroom door! Of course I asked for another room.Additionally when I asked for an iron/board in the room the reception told me it's only available from 8am to noon time while the H/K staff is on duty otherwise the iron is locked and she doesn't have the key!If you are lucky to get one then on top they charge it.. I have stayed from luxury hotels to 3*pensions, an iron is just available everywhere for free. That was really a joke.. Furthermore one day I enter my room and I find a stranger in my balcony who is painting the walls.. I wouldn't refuse his entrance but the least I expect from the hotel is to inform me that they have scheduled a refurbishment and if it's ok with me! I guess security policies is something not known in this hotel. In general I was very disappointed about the service this time and for sure not coming back!

Review 98:Have to give credit to the young man who is working at the bar(unfortunatelly I don't remember his name) and is one of the few people in there who has the right attitude and professionalism to work in hospitality! Well done!

Review 99:No free Wifi - a major drawback when so many hotels have free Wifi. Itravel to Athens 2 or 3 times a year and would consider stayingelsewhere because of the paid WiFi. The cost is not the consideration -it's the principle.

Review 100:For a hotel in this category I was very impressed with the decor andfurnishings (mostly ikea I would say) and as for the beds they arepossibly the most comfortable I have come across in a Greek hotel.Bathroom was clean and all in good working order. The hotel is situatedfairly close to the busy coast road but we had a room at the back whichwas very quiet. It's only a few minutes walk to the centre of Glyfadawhich has a good choice of shops and restaurants. Rooms andreception/bar areas have all benefited from what must be a fairlyrecent and successful refurbishment. The staff were friendly andhelpful. Would definitely stay again but see note about Wifi.

Review 101:1st time I visited the hotel there were challenges with the wifi service, 2nd time it was for free and 3rd time upon charge again.

Review 102:I like the location of the hotel, it's close to Glyfada's main market, close to the sea and value for money. Staff is nice in general, however some - have a lack of hotel education/behavior.

Review 103:The bathrooms dont have ventilators and the room for three people is not spacious enough... Also breakfast doesnt have a big choice of food offered.

Review 104:Nice area, a lot of good caffé's around hotel. Tha staff at the reception is really nice and helpfull. Glyfada has like a small centre where you can find almost all the shopa as in centre of Athens and they are 5min walk from the hotel not even that much.

Review 105:rooms on front are very noisy (main road) beverages and snacks very expensive only 1 small elevator

Review 106:pool restaurants nearby quality and size of room nice breakfast flexible staff / managment tram to center and harbour at 2 min walk

Review 107:Room, foyer, cafe, kindness of staff, near to the beach, neat to main street in Glifada, price of the room, quality of building and furniture, cleanness, whole pleasant atmosphere

Review 108:Nothing.

Review 109:We liked everything about this hotel. The staff are so very kind and helpful . They arranged trips, booked taxis, gave very useful advice and showed genuine concern about our comfort in every way.The breakfast food was plentiful, varied and delicious. The roof terrace had the most beautiful view of the acropolis and the city.It was such a soothing place to sit and gaze at our unforgettable surroundings. The room was comfy and quiet. Downstairs were relaxing seating areas and computers. This was my second time staying at the Central and I would definitely stay there again because you are treated like family. Thank you Staff.

Review 110:This hotes is super far from Athens downtown. Although tram station is a 200m walk from the hotel, downtown trip takes 58 minutes and tram doesn't ride that often - sometimes you'll have to wait more than 20 minutes for the next one and it really can be a problem in the evenings. Besides, absolutely no taxi driver knows where this hotel is, cause of course, greek taxi drivers ignore the existence of GPS. So what happens is that they drive veeeery slowly while they crazily try to call one of their friends who knows where place is, which means, neither the best taxi ride nor the cheapest one........... And, btw, a Sea View hmmm, well, I haven't seen sea from the hotel.

Review 111:One of the main pay beach was across the road. Tram two blocks short nice walk. Took you into Glyfada centre or one could walk. Very conveneint. Not far from airport by taxi.

Review 112:a little noisy at night due to being close to main sea front street, poor breakfast

Review 113:Excellent location, nice renovated rooms, nice lobby and terrace, friendly staff

Review 114:Very clean, quiet, pleasantly staffed hotel. Nice welcome smile from receptionist (blond hair + glasses) and efficient check in. Inclusive breakfast was in beautifully furnished surroundings. Fried eggs and bacon also available. If you want a night in then visit the wonderful supermarket 250 metres away, but don't go hungry!! We enjoyed filled rolls and cold beers on our quiet balcony. Wifi is free and works well. Plenty of parking just outside.

Review 115:Noisy airconditioning and wifi an extra cost. The bathroom was ok but felt it could benefit from some extra cleaning effort. The plug in the bath would not open to drain the bathwater!

Review 116:Best thing about this hotel is its location; about 5 minutes walk from all the restaurants and shopping. We used the bus from the airport (X96) and the Asteria bus stop is only 50 metres from the hotel. Very comfortable bed and pillow. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Review 117:No free wifi.

Review 118:Pool and outside bar area were nice to relax in after a busy day. This hotel is great for an overnighter. We used it for an overnight stop going to the airport coming from Corinth.

Review 119:Breakfast was not that good. The juice was more like cordial. The pick up from the airport did not happen as I was sent an email to reconfirm the pick on the day I was travelling to Athens and could not access my emails, even though I had already confirmed I would accept the charges for the pick up.

Review 120:Location was very good. Close to beach bars, shops, resaurants and the tram.

Review 121:There was no air con in the lobby or lift ( which was very small) The rooms lacked storage space although they had a nice balcony, mini bar and air con. The beds were very comfortable. I'm being picky now, it was great value. Good breakfast too.

Review 122:Location great. Airport bus stops very close by. Nice restaurants and shops nearby. We got a 10 euro 5-day ticket for public transport which was excellent for beaches and site seeing. This hotel ticked a lot of boxes.

Review 123:The staff was incredibly not helpful and did nothing to change ourfeelings of our stay. We paid for wifi and the wifi was weak and did noteven work on our floor. We were inconvenienced and had to go to thelobby to get just a weak service. We asked for a manager to contact usand never heard back from anyone. The soap dispenser in the roomdidn't work. The lock on the door didn't work!!!! I would neverrecommend this place and I will make sure all forums for this hotel havethis information so they know that no manager or hotel staff will helpmake their stay pleasant, they do not care.

Review 124:* Internet (wifi) is not included and too expensive (9 eur for 20hrs and 3 eur for 2hrs)* next to the 6 lane street separating hotel from the beach (you can't hear the traffic though when windows are closed) * hotel staff is very indifferent to client's requests, not at all customer driven (there are no hairdryers in the room, as I requested one, they said I'm sorry the 15 they have are all taken, thats it - only after heavily insisting they moved and after 30 min waiting they organised one...), in general service is VERY slow !! (not only in the hotel but everywhere) * balcony railings are dangerously low - be careful!

Review 125:* Location is good within Glyfada (5 min to the beach club Balux Cafe), Tram takes 1hr to go into center of Athens, Tram station in walking distance* nicely renovated rooms and charming lobby / outside (be careful though to get a renovated room) * located in a very nice and authentic suburb of Athens, great cafes, restaurants and bars are in 5-10 min walking distance, tram station is 2min walking distance

Review 126:Bathroom small and not too clean. Lift was broken so we had to carry cases down from the 5th floor.

Review 127:Bed was comfy and room ok. Area has nice restaurants and bars. Reception lady was very helpful.

Review 128:U don't have free internet??? The taxi the hotel booked for meovercharged me. I paid 23 euros from Piraeus to Glyfada The taxi fromthe hotel to the airport was over 30 euros & the distance is less, this is a rip-off & not good for the tourist trade in Greece.

Review 129:This is not the 1st time I've stayed at the Seaview with my familyit was really nice to see the same efficient staff again.

Review 130:strange that you have to pay for internet - 9 euro for 24 hours of use (you can disconnect and use later during week of stay, that's ok, but awfully 1 electronic device at a time)

Review 131:Location - bus from/to airport every 20-30 minutes, tram to Pireus or Athens center every 20 minutes until late night, great beach carefully looked after with sand in sea in 5 minutes by walk (4 euro weekdays, 6 euro on weekend, beds and umbrellas included, you have to pay additionally to have fun on sea fun park), huge supermarket in 5 minutes, restaurants and all kind of shops in 5-7 minutes. Same breakfast everyday, but really great Great design of hotel - both exterior and interior

Review 132:The only thing I didn't like is that you have to pay for the WiFi in the hotel.

Review 133:This hotel is very nice. Location is great, there is a tram station, supermarket, beach, restaurants, stores, everything very close to the hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful, everything is clean and rooms are very nice. There is also parking in front of the hotel if you are coming with car.

Review 134:1. You have to pay for wi-fi in the 21st century, in what is essentially a residential area of Athens. We chose to pay mobile data on our phones, but not because of the ridiculously high price of the hotel's internet, as much as the general principle of the thing. 2. The air conditioning (one of those embedded-vent systems) was exceptionally noisy, making sleeping with the A/C on virtually impossible. 3. Their idea of a twin/double is basically two singles next to each other, so you can comfortably fall in the gap between the beds in your nightly explorations.

Review 135:The location is pretty good if you're after the hip, clubby, less-touristy Glyfada region. The hotel is close to the sea and close to a very high number of good restaurants, cocktail-bars and clubs. The room was clean and had modern furniture, the parking wasn't a problem.

Review 136:Very expensive prices in pool bar. 3,5 euros a cold coffee and 1 euro per bottle of water (0,5lt) is rediculous. Even more expensive than best Glyfada's cafeterias.

Review 137:Very clean areas. Quiet area and polite personel.

Review 138:The hotel is close to the most perfect beach side - Balux café is just 5min walk from the hotel. There you can chill at the beach and party at night. But the hotel is also really close the centre of Glyfada. It doesn't take longer than 10min by foot.
