Reviews for Appart'City Versailles Magny Magny-Les-Hameaux
Review 1:Waiting, wifi didn't work Had to pay for parking even though thé hôtel is far from public transport. No other parking options
Review 2:Doors dont open, top many codes and waiting lines
Review 3:Communication with staff on Hotline, Support plan for late arrivals, poor driving indications and Hotel signage. Had to get Geandarmerie help to find it!
Review 4:Concept, cleaniness
Review 5:We arrived late 22:30 and did not find the hotel before 00:30. Wrong address, wrong GPS and bad guideance from the hotel's telepone service after waiting 10-15 mins for each call. Room stenched of cheap perfume, ceiling lamp made an unbearable noise, and when my wife opened the refrigerator, the door came off.
Review 6:Tiny pillows and not one English channel on Tiny TV!!
Review 7:Very quiet place with great free parking.you NEED a car if staying here but it's easy to get into Paris on the train from St Remy .shops are close (5 mins) by car.
Review 8:Poor reception staff, that's if you were lucky enough to find reception open. If you missed breakfast the only other food or drink within walking distance was a poorly stocked vending machine.
Review 9:It was close to the start of Paris-Brest-Paris 1,200 km event. It was very cheap.
Review 10:Stuff is not around and main call center cannot help anything
Review 11:Although I requested for wifi specially by calling them, they didn't give me the password. Therefore I could not have access to my devices and it caused me a lot of trouble
Review 12:The door locks are complicated to use and /or unreliable. Free WiFi in lobby didn't always work esecially for Android.
Review 13:Helpful staff. Good bed, useful food preparation facilities. Lack of noise due to out of town location.
Review 14:Queuing at reception for too long regarding minor issues. But queuing is an issue in France generally.
Review 15:The staff, the location, the price, the apartment, the facilities
Review 16:I booked using an English website but my welcome instructions were in French. I didn't understand them and couldn't get into my room. When i rung up for help at 12:30 am the lady didn't explain that i had confused the safe code for my room number. Instead i had to wait over an hour for a security guard to arrive. He easily corrected my mistake. As such I didn't get into my room till 2am.
Review 17:the envelop with the room key was in a closed box. You need to call for the code of the box, but then the room number was nowhere written. When calling again we were waiting for more than 10 minutes before answering.
Review 18:Big rooms, very clean.
Review 19:No reception, no bar, rude staff, keys were not working next day, small rooms were given instead of big one what we reserved
Review 20:We didn't like anything.
Review 21:Staff at booking on had already canceled our booking an hour before then expectered us to pay twice as much for same room, stand your ground booking in is till 10pm and they cancel an hour after opening ...
Review 22:The company seems to work on a Ryanair principle: cheap initial price then fees for extras. Calling it 'Appart'City Versailles' is also a cheek, as it's nowhere near Versailles.
Review 23:Kitchenette facilities are unusual and a good idea
Review 24:Ha ace to book in before 9 pm. Otherwise you will have a text message with code for safe for room card and room number. If you don't receive text you may not get into your room like us
Review 25:Cleanliness of apartment
Review 26:Arrived on Sunday so no one on reception. Keys etc nafe accessible via code numbers but door of apartment a bit tricky to open. Lucky enough another guest was able to demonstrate the technique. Instructions to this effect would be useful.
Review 27:Convenient for visit to Versailles and Paris. Roomy apartment for two adults and 4 older kids.
Review 28:When we arrived at 21.30 the reception was closed so took us over an hour to sort keys from safety box. No idea what room we were in. Had to walk round testing the doors. Miles from anywhere. Hotel charged my credit card even though it states it does not. I wanted to pay cash. Still waiting on refund for room I had cancelled prior to arriving which i did through booking.com
Review 29:Locking system for door is a bit problematic. We waited 2 hours for a technician to come out and let us in as there is no 24 hour reception. No air conditioning and we were there during a heatwave!
Review 30:Spacious room with decent standard of facilities. Great price but a bit out of the way. Train to Paris (around 10€ return) is 10 min drive away.
Review 31:Firstly the service on arrival is poor, minimal staff who are rude andnot very helpful! Secondly the rooms are nothing like what is advertisedon booking.com, the property is badly maintained. Their was a heatwavein France the week we were there with the mos averaging 38°c and guesswhat, the rooms have aircon, but it's broken!!!! We had to by a fanjust to be able to survive. You don't get fresh towels or linen evenwhen you staying 7 days, if your travelling with a car, which mostpeople will as it is not close to any amenities you pay an extra 3 euroa day, there were tiny bugs in the apartment which the reception couldnot help us get rid of. We had to go buy stuff to spray in the room tokill them. There are people who arrive at the apartments at 2 am in themorning, talking at the top of their lungs and pulling their bags on thecement paths. It was really not a nice experience. I won't staytheir again, nor will I suggest that anybody stay there. This placecould be made really nice, with a little maintenance and staff thatactually cat about their work!!!!
Review 32:Nothing!!!!
Review 33:This section isn't big enough to write about this place.check in took 1 hr 26 mins,3 people on front of me,15 behind.the room had a thermostat but u needed a degree in nuclear physics to work, even the staff gave up.it was hot and humid,so had to sleep with windows open, unfortunately because of the intricate checking in process a bus load of Asians arrived at midnight and still couldn't get into their rooms til 3am and very noisy and irate, which had the locals shouting out of the rooms to be quiet, then other guests shouting at them to be quiet.there is one restaurant closeby, which charged to the full extent, supply and demand. Also, one supermarket, which closed down midweek.i ordered a taxi Saturday afternoon for Sunday, when I went to reception Sunday, they had no knowledge and ordered a limo service instead.when that arrived,it wanted €50 to take me 3 miles.it has to be the most unorganised hotel I've stayed in for a long while,my fellow business assc will also be giving not so great reviews from their experience too.....au revoir apart city.
Review 34:Leaving...
Review 35:The party that happened in the early hours of both Saturday and Sunday morning. It looked like the turn in area to the compound is where the local youngsters gather.
Review 36:As we went late night , we had to call the customer care and they made us to wait 30 mins
Review 37:I have stayed in a apartment and its damn worth the money i paid. The apartment is clean and it has every facility. we felt like we are in our own apartment
Review 38:Gate code key did not work--not just mine, but everyone else's as well. A minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.
Review 39:Large spacious rooms, well-supplied kitchen. If you have a car, you will struggle to find better value for money in the greater Paris area. You will need a car. 20 mins drive to Versailles, and 40 mins to central Paris. Longer by train.
Review 40:Wifi solution needed some touch to beworking. Very noisy during this week with corp groups celebrating overt night! Far away from any city.
Review 41:Clean, modern and comfortable facility. Calm except airplane field in the area.
Review 42:The entry procedure when arriving out of office hours is so complicated and not explained nor communicated propertly. The staff are rude, clueless and simply don't care.
Review 43:Nice Village/Area
Review 44:No booking received from Boooking .com when I arrived at 21:00. Problem at the website level or at the hotel level no idea. I was put in the "spare' room : no heating, smell of sewage in the room, single bed and some stains of old leaks on the ceiling. Then problem with the reception, no one to take the call for the whole afternoon, got locked out of my room with all my luggages inside although I'm a recurrent customer!!!
Review 45:Nothing to do within walking distance. Everything was a drive.
Review 46:My room was in the back of the hotel and overlooked a field. The room was quite clean and it was extremely quiet, with a beautiful view. EXCELLENT value.
Review 47:Hard to find as it is a bit out of the way and not a lot nearby by way of amenities. Common areas and outside gardens are a bit tired and could do with some attention. Rooms a bit soulless, but good for the price.
Review 48:Fine accommodation if you are on a budget. Rooms are clean and comfy beds. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout our visit.
Review 49:The appartment was a little difficult to find as the TomTom didn't recognise the address. When we were given a key to the apartment someone was already in bed and asleep. How did that happen!
Review 50:n't recognise the address. Good location to reach Versailles
Review 51:Actually out of my mind how this new built property could be so awfully managed. First of all beware of taking shower! As soon as someone in nearby room is intending to do the same you have a risk to be shocked by boiled or icy water. Two days of my stay I spent for asking extremely kind and smiling staff to change broken electric kettle (successfully) and three days negotiated about repairing of dead washdisher (failure). Besides of it everynight you be listening noisy kitchen fan which impossible to switch off.
Review 52:Landscape out of window
Review 53:- I got the same room or 2 times with the same issue , Shower , they don't have an Idea how to fix it. Invoice issue , booking cancellation, you can not enter your room.. ect are the general issue... so when you book apart city, please use the following formula - your expectation / 2 * -1... cheers
Review 54:Hmm well i need to reach the nirvana stage to find the good things about it I have left paper in the room, I found the same paper after 3 months, this should be consider as a positive points....lol
Review 55:1. cutting desk is not provided in the kitchen 2. sharp knifes absent 3. the water flows from under the kitchen in our appartments. I have asked personnel to come & repair but nobody came for 3 days till we leave the appartments
Review 56:1.location is rather comfortable to reach Versailles 2. located in the small city in the green area 3.clean linen and towels 4.we rented 2 room apartments. comfortable to live with children 5. cost for money 6. equipped kitchen
Review 57:bathroom could be renovated and provided better bathroom amenities. Checking in after office desk hours could be a night mare. No free wifi at room. Not ideal for visiting paris (bit far away)
Review 58:Quiet atmosphere, spacious apartment, good kitchen facilities, helpful & friendly staff. Spacious car parking
Review 59:kitchen should be much better equipped and certainly the TV is too small for an apartment at night I would recommend closing the main door especially as they are provided with access codes. some small improvements would be recommended renewal carpet
Review 60:appartment spacious, friendly staff, location with private parking very comfortable beds it,s very important to have car because the distances are quite large for Paris and surroundings Close Versailles
Review 61:There is internet access for a small additional charge, we opted for theWiFi option at 2 Euro per day. The reception was poor and it was onlypossible to connect one device, which was a minor frustration but notreally a big issue since we didn't really need to use it.
Review 62:We stayed in a large appartment and for a family of 5 it was spacious ,comfortable and we'll appointed. The location was quiet, with basicamenities close by and lots of good places to visit within easy reach.Staff were pleasant and helpful. Although quite busy the appartmentbuilding was quiet and we were barely aware of other guests. The onlyadditional charge was the local tax which we expected. Overall this wasgood value and we would stay again in we are in the same area. Thesurrounding area was pleasant and on the drive back to the apartmentlate at night we saw wild boar on the road which was a nice surprise.
Review 63:Worst was the long phone call to get into the safe as didn't get smsand was needed anyway to get the no of the apartment - waited 10 min athuge roaming expense to fond someone would cod speak English. Brokenshower attachment and missing toilet roll holder and curtains on oneroom, nothing for kids
Review 64:Near a very nice village or two, good for Versailles
Review 65:The address is not found on GPS, take care. The service is bad, after being given a room which had a broken couch bed and had no bed sheets, and wifi that didn't work, we complained and nothing changed for the whole day! A friend of hours came late when there is no reception, and didn't find his key in the security box, and after calling the customer service, they told him to take some other key from the security box, another tenant key!!!
Review 66:At the end of the day after having some french friends coming to complain on our behalf to the manager about their service, they compansated us with giving us 2 rooms instead of a single appartment and didn't charge us for the first night. Generally clean rooms
Review 67:Booking via 3rd party meant I didn't get the appropriate sms messages for check-in out of hours. Limited staffing hours for reception on-site. Dryer at site was out of order so had to locate alternative laundrette without any help from the staff.
Review 68:Great self contained apartment, hard wired ethernet for Internet access meant reliable data rate & no concerns for signal strength.
Review 69:Room 1101 the master bedroom is above reception where the outside door bangs very loudly. As reception is only manned during the day residents need to key in codes to gain access which meant loud conversations and banging doors during the early part of the night.
Review 70:Very comfortable beds. Good shower, functional kitchen, plenty of room although the design was a little strange for the toilet where the basin was in the bathroom.
Review 71:Carpet was very stained, broken shower head, missing toilet paper holder. Wifi only reaches reception, but they charge 1 euro daily. Pictures are from when it was new and shinny, not anymore. Full of tour groups.
Review 72:Appartment size. Except for the stained carpet, it was clean.but doesn't seems so at first glance.
Review 73:Booked this hotel one month before my trip but the reception told us there is not reservation record in their system when we arrived at Hotel in the evening. It was very bad experience and not sure it was mistake of Booking.com or Hotel itself. However, in the end Hotel found rooms for our stay and compensated the cost. But, the negative image has been made.
Review 74:Noisy if your apartment is above the main entrance and can smell of smoke as people stand out front having a cigarette. Also there were deliveries and bins emptied at 6am on separate mornings so ask for an apartment away from the entrance block
Review 75:Easy check in, free and sufficiently powerful WIFI, clean, spacious, welcoming staff. Perfect as a base if you are not spending much time in the apartment for family of four on tour.
Review 76:The location was far out of Paris. No reception after 5 pm so had to locate our key in a safety deposit box. Toilet flush was broken and shower head was broken. Reported to reception but nothing was done about it whilst we were there and we stayed 2 nights. No toaster or grill. Apartment extremely small for 6 people.
Review 77:Staff were very nice but their directions were bad. A local map wouldhave been nice. Needed ethernet cable for internet as no wifi but therestaurant in town had very good wifi. Gas stations in the area areall unmanned and American credit cards without chips will not workthe pumps. Charged 1 euro a day to park at hotel though advertisedfree parking.
Review 78:Comfortable room with adequate furnishings. We had an electric kettle.Train to Paris was less than 10 min. Away and parking was 2 euros a day.Quiet, rural location with easy access to Versailles and Paris. Wedidn't have to clean and were not charged a cleaning fee.
Review 79:On the evening of Tuesday 8 July, I called the reception and explained I would be arriving after reception hours. I was assured that my room key would be left in a safe whose combination would be sent to me. I received the code and arrived at 1am to find that there was no key for me. I called the central reservations who told me my reservation had been cancelled with no reasons and could only offer me accommodation 50km away. Having arrived by taxi and having no way to leave, I had to wait in the reception area for 6hrs until reception opened in the morning. I found out in the morning that at least 6 of my colleagues had experienced the same thing with no plausible explanations, or apologies from the company! Unacceptable
Review 80:Being an economical accommodation, I think it will need intensive periodical refurbishment to stay at its level. Breakfast is overpriced, but dont need it because you have a kitchen so use it. Nothing I hated. And yes, it is quite hard to find so prepare yourself. Impossible without a car.
Review 81:Fantastic value for money for particular travellers as myself, travelling in a group with kids. every practical need is provided. Dont be picky, you get the best for what you pay for. Good wireless connection. safe environment. free parking. fairly clean. I would definitely come again.
Review 82:(1) You have to check in by 9pm; we hit traffic and were going to be 15 minutes late. Around 7:30pm I called their customer service number; the person only spoke French and hung up on me. Around 8:15pm, I stopped at another hotel, and got a French speaker to call; customer service told her they could not reach the Appart'City Versailles because none of the staff there were picking up the phone and in fact they had been unable to get ahold of anyone that worked there all day. So, when we arrived at the hotel at 9:30pm, it was locked up, and we had to find somewhere else to stay. (2) We went back to the Appart'City Versailles the next day; there was a staff member who spoke a bit of English. She told me I would be charged for the previous night even though my attempts to contact them failed, I was locked out, and had to pay for another hotel room. She claimed she did not have access to my financial/charging information a and I would have to call customer service to see if they would refund my money. I have since called customer service three times; they say I have to talk to Appart'city Versailles staff directly, but myself and customer service have been unable to get anyone from Appart'City Versailles on the phone all day. (3) We did stay at the Appart'City Versailles one night. We had very little warm water for showers with very little water pressure (only one person in our room showered). And the electricity shut off several times. In fact, the staff told me they could not even print a receipt for me because of the electrical issues. (4) Travel Tip: This place is in the middle of nowhere. It was not on my E.U. GPS.
Review 83:The room was spacious and plenty of parking.

Review 85:Staff availability to help and find solutions to costumers raised issues.

Review 103:Easily accessed and reasonably priced
Review 104:Shocking service with no feedback from requests done through booking.com.
Review 105:Close to start of Paris Brest Paris Cycle event at very reasonable rates.
Review 106:The location is not easy to find by navigation. The address is ambiguous and parking is to be paid
Review 107:the apartment is big enough for 6-7 people.
Review 108:Excellent location for visiting Paris and area. You will need a car.
Review 109:no swimming pool or bbq facilities
