Reviews for Lammas Park House

Review 1:We liked the friendly reception we received from the owners, the view over the town to the sea, the cosy suite, the huge comfy bed, the dressing room/bathroom, the fabulous breakfasts and the ease of getting around the area without having to drive. Well worth the trip.

Review 2:Fabulous weekend, couldnt of been more looked after, Lovely house and location, Breakfasts where top class and would definately go back. 10/10 on all counts.

Review 3:Excellent B & B with stunning views across Dawlish and the bay. We had a top floor large bedroom and the beds were extremely comfy. Breakfast was superb, cooked freshly for you with plenty on the plate. The hosts were very friendly and would do anything for you. Huge car park which was a bonus. I would certainly stay there again if I was in the area.

Review 4:Lovely couple who run the B&B, made us feel at home and welcome. Breakfast was huge and excellent but if you wanted anything different they were only too happy to oblige. Knowledgeable about area with loads of information available.

Review 5:We liked the personal service e.g. lift to and from the train station. We also liked the friendliness of Tony and Carolyn who made us feel very welcome and made our stay very special. just a quick mention also....the breakfasts cooked by Tony were excellent!!

Review 6:Unable to offer any criticism relating to any part of our stay at the Lammas Park House.

Review 7:Tony & Carolyn have running a B&B down to a very fine art indeed, their attention to detail is second to none! We enjoyed a friendly greeting outside the property before I could turn my engine off. There are ample parking spaces The building has been decorated to a very high standard but care has very obviously been taken to maintain many of it's original period features & it is kept spotlessly clean. They seem to have adopted a "Belt & Braces" policy - everything you could ever need is readily available and even more is available "Upon Request" The breakfast menu was generous and varied. Everything that I ate was both delicious and plentiful. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the centre of Dawlish and the room we had enjoyed a good view of the bay. If you want to enjoy your stay in Dawlish - this is the only place to stay!

Review 8:Nothing

Review 9:We had the rooms on the top of the house. One of them had alot of space, so we could hang out easily, rest after a busy week and enjoy the magnificent view. The rooms are very comfortable and very tastefully decorated.

Review 10:Carolyn and Tony are great hosts who made us feel very welcome. Lammas Park House has great character is beautifully furnished and is extremely comfortable and homely to stay in - as far from chain hotels as you can get. The breakfasts are delicious with wonderful choice, very generous portions and great care is taken to suit each person's tastes and needs.

Review 11:Leaving.

Review 12:Delightful hosts, wonderful breakfast cooked to order. Provided extensive range of tourist information ( including brochures) Tastefully decorated comfortable room which was a pleasure to return to after a long day out. Good on site parking.

Review 13:There is nothing negative to say - this is the perfect B&B. However when booking your room, be aware that he Oxford room is at least double the size of the Twin for only £5 more. This makes the Oxford by far the the better room choice.

Review 14:The owners could not be more helpful and anxious to make your stay a pleasant one. The view from the bedrooms is fantastic and the breakfast could not be bettered. This is a great base from which to explore beautiful South Devon.

Review 15:Everything was perfect. A beautiful room with it's own balcony overlooking Dawlish and the sea, a fantastic breakfast and wonderful hosts. I wasn't able to walk far on this occasion so I will go back for another stay to take advantage of the lovely walks in the area. Thank you both for an all too short stay!

Review 16:Beautiful room with breath taking view , spotless, in a very pleasant quiet setting. Hosts have managed to achieve perfect balance of making you feel welcome without overwhelming you. Breakfasts which are out of this world! Extremely good value for the price.

Review 17:There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

Review 18:We liked everything about Lammas Park House. Our room with ensuite bathroom and shower was more like a suite and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The proprietors were friendly and nothing was too much trouble and gave a personal touch. We will definitely return and recommend to all our friends and family. Lammas Park House could certainly give a top hotel a run for their money.

Review 20:Cleanliness,comfort,beautiful room and wonderful home cooked breakfast. Tony and Caroline are excellent, friendly hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they even offer a collection from the railway station at no extra cost.

Review 21:The Henley is more of a suite than a room. The breakfasts are wonderful with a great choice. Also the owners couldn't be more friendly or helpful.

Review 22:Nothing at all.

Review 23:Everything, the friendly and welcoming hosts, anything we wanted we just had to ask, but we already had everything we needed. The breakfast menu for choice and quality was second to none. Review 26:Having to leave after only three days, and not knowing how soon before we can come back!

Review 27:Easy access and car parking took the strain out to nogotiating narrow and steep Devon sreets, and then rewarded by great views of the town. The room and facilities were excellent, and the owners very pleasant and helpful even when WE caused them problems!

Review 31:1. very helpful hosts, attentive but not intrusive 2. very spacious & comfortable room & ensuite (really a dressing room) 3. lovely breakfasts, with plenty of choice, good ingredients & fresh fruit salad (very nice) 4. easy parking 5. lovely sea views 6. quiet & private yet within easy walking distance to the small town centre

Review 32:The only downside were the two flights of stairs to our room, which at our age could have been a problem had we not been fit.

Review 33:Lovely view from room which was a good size and the en suite had a nice selection of toiletries. Tony and Carolyn were excellent hosts and went out of their way to help. There were even umbrellas in the hall if needed. Plenty of choice for breakfast, which was excellent.

Review 34:Stairs. There was quite a number of stairs to reach our room which was situated on the second floor, would cause difficulty if you were disabled.

Review 36:we did not have more time to stay a little longer.

Review 44:Wonderful and welcoming hosts! The room was idyllic and very large. The shared parapet sitting room was also lovely and the views afforded were wonderful. Best B&B we have even been to. Only complaint is with the road to the accommodation: it is closed and has been for 2 years yet Satnav and Google still don't know that! The

Review 45:The only comment I have is that our room was on the top floor and we had a lot of stairs to climb, so not good for some-one is slightly disabled.

Review 46:We were staying in the twin room and was very impressed how spacious it was. The beds were bigger than a normal single and very comfortable. All the facilities in the room were lovely including the shower. Nice extra touches were provided i.e. some lovely Devon fudge, which went down well with our coffee. The room also had a lovely view and we loved the extra sitting room. The breakfast choice was amazing, well cooked and plenty of choice, thanks to Tony.

Review 51:Lack of decent restaurants in Dawlish.

Review 52:We stayed for 2 days in Dawlish on a trip to visit elderly relatives in Truro. We especially wanted to travel on the repaired railway line in Dawlish. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Lammas Park Hotel. The Henley room was lovely and large with a balcony and beautiful view of Dawlish. Very useful to sit and have gin and tonics! There was a an adjoining shower room/lavatory and dressing room. Tony and his wife were very welcoming and provided useful information regarding the area, complimentary free bottled water/ice and scrumptious breakfasts. Wish we had a reason to go back there!
