This stone-built house is set in an acre of grounds in the mid-Wensleydale market town of Leyburn. It is located right on the market square, and has free on-site parking.

Review 1:Beautiful location with great views from this excellent B&B. The room was spacious with the added bonus of a small sitting room. Great breakfast and friendly hosts.

Review 2:The bedroom and modern bathroom were very well equipped although we would have preferred twin beds. A personal conservatory and outside deck with a "view to die for" were magnificent. The breakfast had a wide range of choice and was well cooked and presented.

Review 3:My sister and I spent an fabulous 2 day break, enjoying the idyllic setting and historical ambience of the area. B & B was perfect and we would go back in a heartbeat!

Review 9:Bedroom had its own small conservatory with two chairs complete with throws and a seating area just outside - the views from the room were outstanding. Very friendly hosts. Oaklodge is set in walking distance of small town. Good base for travelling the wider area.

Review 16:Clean, modern room and bathroom. Pretty garden and excellent views from the garden. Friendly hosts and very good breakfast selection. Quiet and just a couple of minutes walk up the lane to the center of town. Very convenient.

Review 17:Amazing views, great hosts, delicious breakfasts, less than a 30 second walk to town centre yet was still completely private and peaceful. We stayed in the Birch room which was spacious, clean and well presented (as was the ensuite with a large walk in shower). The room also has a new conservatory attached with a great view and comfy seats.

Review 21:The wife and I went to get away from kids and dogs and for some our time, from the moment of arrival and meeting owners and shown to our room we were totally unbelievably chilled. The owners are sooooo friendly and make u feel very welcome and the views from our bedroom of the dales were breathtaking. I would highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed, we will definitely be returning, especially for the breakfast, scrambled eggs and mushrooms are to die for,

Review 24:A wonderful, peaceful place to stay with a view. Comfortable, cosy and clean. Easy car parking off road in front of the house. The husband and wife team are friendly and very helpful. Plenty of choice for breakfast and excellent hot cooked selections. The town is a 2 minute walk away with an excellent variety of quality shops. Amazing countryside to explore.

Review 25:A little gem of a place,stayed with husband and parents whilst attending our sons passing out parade,superb ,clean comfotable and a lovely warm yorkshire welcome .cant recommend highly enough only sorry our stay couldnt be longer.

Review 26:We stayed here on 20th September 2014 for one night as we were going to a wedding nearby. Our room was lovely – really clean, bright and comfortable with a large bathroom (huge shower) and lovely selection of teas, coffees and biscuits. Breakfast was amazing with a great range of cooked choices and beautiful views across the countryside from the breakfast room. Lynne and John were warm and friendly and made us feel really welcome. Oaklodge is just a few minutes walk from the market centre of Leyburn and close to everything, yet very relaxing and peaceful and there is plenty of space to park outside. Amazing!

Review 40:We had the most fantastic stay at Oaklodge - I only wish we'd booked for longer. Lynne was so kind and welcoming - from being offered tea when we arrived, to recommendations for where to eat, to even sympathising with me after I dented the car that morning! Nothing was too much trouble, and breakfast was delicious, our rooms were lovely and relaxing, and the view, glorious! Leyburn is a lovely town, a great base for exploring the Dales and we're definitely planning our next trip back to Oaklodge.
