Reviews for Atlantic Hotel
Review 1:Nothing to say here
Review 2:We go to this hotel quite often really probably once every two weeks, just for the weekend, this time we took our swimwear, the pool is excellent, the sauna is excellent and the jazcuzz is really brill, everything about this hotel is 5star, the breakfast is help yourself, everything is hot and cooked to perfection and l would recommend it to you all, its deffinately a welcoming hotel :)
Review 3:The bathroom floor was slippery though dry; so we had to be careful with that.
Review 4:Charming people who looked after us and made us feel at home; great food and lovely pool and jacuzzi. The view was of Caldey and surrounding coast.
Review 5:No bad experience really, the Jacuzzi did break down once but was fixed straight away.
Review 6:The hotel was close to the town The staff were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi added that bit of extra special touch. Breakfast was excellent you served yourself and had numerous varieties of food on offer.
Review 7:Only one small issue, room was cold during the day, wouldn't stop me from going again though
Review 8:Fabulous hotel, staff, food and location, will definitely go again and recommend
Review 9:breakfast finishes too early (esp on Sunday) and staff just wanted us out - no hot breakfast buffet for me at 09:15 - disgraceful jacuzzi wouldnt work - no shower at poolside - basement restaurant not open (it was when I booked)
Review 10:having a car park
Review 11:I liked the friendly welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff who really went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. I loved that the hotel was so close to the town centre and right on the seafront.
Review 12:All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa were clean warm. The room was spacious clean comfortable. Made a fantastic weekend special.
Review 13:We couldn't say anything bad the hotle or staff! Perfect!
Review 14:Me and my partner loved everything about 5he hotle thecstaff were friendly kind and helpful we couldn't have asked for any more xx
Review 15:original room on arrival was awful with a bad smell at the end of the corridor, after speaking to reception we were moved to a lovely room but the bed was hard and pillows a tad tired, the room furniture was a little dated.
Review 16:Lovely location
Review 17:As I was solo . The room they first put me in . Just was mad no room to move about . And bedroom floor creaked . Reception straight away moved me to next floor to a perfect room . I found out hat the lower floor is to have alteration . So that could have been the problem . . My first pression wasent good .but they soon sorted it .
Review 18:Leisure facililities brillant . Excellent reception staff . And restaurant . Was moved to a new room .it wasn't a problem .
Review 19:There isn't enough car park spaces to accommodate all customers. I had to pay £5 to park in a public car park which was quite far away from the hotel. The bed was smaller than double and very uncomfortable.
Review 20:There was absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel or the staff. The only one thing that would be nice is if you could reserve a car parking space, so if you are arriving late, you wouldn't have to worry about finding a parking space.
Review 21:From the moment we checked in till the time we left was fantastic. Our room was excellent, very clean tidy and comfortable. All the amenities where 1st class, and the dining room and breakfast was excellent. All the staff were kind very helpful and always courteous .
Review 22:We've just returned from a weekend break at the Atlantic and can't speak high enough of our visit. We arrived late on Friday with reception arranging for sandwiches in the bar area. The staff were extremely helpful as I was on crutches, offering assistance wherever they could. The bedroom was a good size with comfortable beds and tastefully decorated. Reception assisted me the following morning in finding a boat trip, even contacting the organisers to check out times and availability and later in the day arranged for a tray with food and drinks to be brought across to their garden, as I was on my own. The waiters/waitresses were eager to offer assistance in the dining area, which was very much appreciated. A lovely, relaxing stay with exceptional staff. Thank you.
Review 23:Staff catered for our every needs. Even carried our bags to the room. There is a lift in the hotel. The Hotel, The setting overlooking the bay, the Food, leisure facilities. This hotel offers the lot. Over the years I always return back to the Atlantic and where ever I have stayed around the world, The Atlantic at Tenby (and Tenby itself) always one of the favourites.Other guests said they had stayed elsewhere but would now return to the Atlantic as it definately the best
Review 24:Top quality hotel. Delicious food and plenty of it. Well trained personnel that enjoy delivering excellent customer service. Will only ever stay at this hotel on future visits to Tenby.
Review 25:Breakfast finishes at 9.30am and you have to be out by 10.30am. Seems that u can't check in until 3pm it's a lot of money to pay for that very short stay.
Review 26:Fab location and excellent facilities including pool etc
Review 27:The Location and views. Friendly staff, excellent customer care. The room, the restaurant, the choices on the menu and quality of the food. Car parking that's a welcome bonus...
Review 28:The staff were really friendly. They recommended somewhere for dinner which we loved and even gave us a congratulations card (it was our honeymoon). They dished us up some breakfast even though we were late. Couldn't have found a better place and location was perfect
Review 29:My room was unfortunately one of the rear ones so no nice view but can't have everything
Review 30:Really enjoyed stay. Great staff and breakfast was lovely. Nice facilities and perfect location
Review 31:A well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable hotel in a superb location. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was also an excellent feature with a wide choice of delicious hot and cold dishes.
Review 32:It maybe lacks the final 5% of style and presentation; the interior decor, though clean and in good order, is a bit stark and stuck somewhere around 1980 probably. But we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay, and would make the hotel our first choice if and when we go back to Tenby.
Review 33:The cleanliness, comfort and good condition of everything in the room and en-suite; the buffet breakfast was well prepared and cooked (and the fresh fruit salad really was fresh fruit). The restaurant offered both good value and good choice, and was also served by friendly and efficient table staff.
Review 34:our room was rather dark and view was awful but we had requested a ground floor room and this may have been the only remaining one. my wife would have preferred a top sheet as the duvet was rather warm.
Review 35:We liked the garden and bar and excellent breakfast and dinner in carringtonss restaurant
Review 36:We were unlucky and didnt get a room with a sea view.rooms out the back should be a little cheaper
Review 37:Staff and breakfast were fantastic. Facilities were good too room was clean and tidy
Review 38:Only criticism is that breakfast was only served until 9.30, working all week I appreciate a lie in on the weekend so therefore missed breakfast. Think this should be extended to the time of departure (10.30)
Review 39:Location was perfect, very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay there again and recommend to others
Review 40:My husband and myself both enjoyed being able to use the pool and jacuzzi at the end of the day , which we did every day of our stay. We also enjoyed the help yourself breakfast buffet each morning ,lots of choice and staff always very cheery!
Review 41:Double bed felt small...its nice to get a kingsize or bigger on holiday
Review 42:The garden terrace views were fantastic & was lovely to have a swim before breakfast
Review 43:The changing room for the swimming pool could have been a bit bigger and there were no lockers for clothes.
Review 44:The room was very spacious with a good shower. Breakfast was buffet style and very nice. Staff were very helpful.
Review 45:The mattress on the bed was probably about 4 out of 10. This was probably because I spent a lot of money on mine at home so the comparison was stark to say the least.
Review 46:Everything about this hotel was superb except the mattress on the bed which was quite poor. Fortunately this in no way impacted on the holiday in general as everything else was wonderful particularly the buffet breakfast. The dining room also was beautifully done and was a pleasure to eat there.
Review 47:Although the room itself was very good and with all facilities, but the location of the room was not expected to be as low as a basement of a building with a window overlooking a flat roof of another property.
Review 48:The hotel is facing a great sea view and close to town.
Review 49:Gorgeous hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Beautiful views from private beer garden with access to beach. We loved the pool and jacuzzi. Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean. We couldn't fault anything.
Review 50:All good, the parking was limited
Review 51:Very clean, the staff were helpful and cheerful. The rooms were clean with plenty of space and comfort. Excellent location
Review 52:Bathroom was very small, poorly vented and the shower curtain has a strong smell of damp. Bathroom fittings looked 'tired'. Buffet-style breakfast was poor - cheap sausages with practically no meat content. Fried eggs were greasy, overcooked and left on hot trays too long. Overall, pricey considering the quality of the accommodation (I've had better rooms in Travelodge) but the communal areas were maintained to a very high standard and made up for the bedroom quality.
Review 53:Friendly and helpful staff. Very nicely kept communal areas including lounge and bar. Excellent pool, jaccuzzi and stream room. Very comfortable (although squeaky!) bed.
Review 54:However, all seemed a little dated, room small. It's purely having travelled abroad so much. This hotel seemed expensive for what you got!
Review 55:Position good. Clean can't really complain about it.
Review 56:Car park was often full all day which made us wonder if some of the cars belonged to non residents. Not sure if number plates are checked??
Review 57:Location of Hotel was excellent and the welcome from the staff on reception as well as at breakfast.
Review 58:Excellent location, lovely garden area across the road . superb breakfast ,staff were very attentive, looked forward to it every morning.would definitely return again..also able to park our car on site.
Review 59:Nothing really bad. Room window faced inwards to other high walls making it less pleasant in humid weather.
Review 60:Position of hotel, spacious and uncluttered public lounges. Excellent breakfast
Review 61:Didn't have a bad experience but the lift was slow as was the opening of the lift door. However, I am not keen on lifts and we were on the second floor. It didn't spoil our stay.
Review 62:Staff, terrace, pool, wi fi, breakfast. Only ate once in the Carrington but it was very good.
Review 63:Very close to beach and town centre.Use of the pool & jacuzzi/steam room a bonus. Secure off road parking very appealing. Buffet breakfast with a wide range of choices. Friendly staff.
Review 64:That we had to go home. I wish I had booked a week there.
Review 65:Our stay at the Atlantic Hotel was lovely. The Hotel was spotlessly clean and we had a modern, comfortable room. The spa was great and breakfast was delicious. The staff were extremely polite and friendly - and the location - what a beach - beautiful golden sand that went on and on. I didn't want to leave
Review 66:Lovely hotel with the cheapest toilet roll!! Nice room...clean lovely bedding...bathroom could be cleaner...thick dust on door and side of sink next to bath...disappointing but this is being picky because we had a lovely stay in a very nice hotel with excellent facilities and very welcoming staff.
Review 67:Fantastic location.welcoming staff.superb breakfast.lovely room.free parking.lovely bedding.
Review 68:Attentive, friendly staff, happy to help. Lovely large room, with great en-suite. Even our non sea view room had a sea view, perfect for checking the tide early morning. Perfect stay!
Review 69:we were in room 9 over a flat roof and a noise like a fridge kept coming on like every 10 to fifteen mins + that did keep me awake at times as I can be a light sleeper
Review 70:everything + lovely friendly + helpful staff
Review 71:The chlorine in the pool and jacuzzi was way too strong. Our room was small and dark (I think it had been the cupboard under he stairs before) but they had made the best they could of it. Unfortunately our meal at the restaurant was very disappointing with overcooked meat and cold veg. (However when we eat there last year it was great so maybe just a one off.)
Review 72:Staff were helpful and helpful and breakfast was great.
Review 73:The bed, as I noticed in other reviews, was hard and didn't help us in having a good night on our first night. That is the only criticism.
Review 74:Loved the pool and facilities. Staff extremely helpful. Our room, with a seaview, was small but we were made aware of this when we booked. Worth the size of the room to wake up to the view.
Review 75:The only disappointment was the hotel did not serve evening meals and the independent restaurant located on the lower ground floor was closed due to a family wedding
Review 76:The pool
Review 77:Breakfast was to early half seven till half nine which should be half eight till half ten & check out should be half eleven
Review 78:Pool was great & jacuzzi so was the steam room , very clean and nice staff
Review 79:This was a gift for my mum , just to say thank you for everything she does for my children and I ... She was so thrilled, they were outstanding at the Atlantic , couldn't do enough! She felt so special The staff there are so welcoming and super friendly She can't wait to return next year . The Room was lovely , so thank you to everyone at this hotel for making it so special for my mum ☺️
Review 80:Staff were friendly, hotel was prime location, we had a sea view room which was amazing the room was small but was told about this, even though was plenty big enough for me an my partner. Swimming pool area was fantastic, quiet too.. Clean towels given each time.
Review 81:Pool much smaller than it appears and changing facilities poor.
Review 82:Good location and car parking facilities. Room clean and of good size with full size bath. Nice to have bathroom with opening window. Excellent breakfast.
Review 83:Breakfast was poor!! Hash brown black pudding sausages had a rubbery texture which i could not eat, drank my coffee left and informed the recepionist
Review 84:Hotel quality and cleanliness also polite staff
Review 85:No bog brush in room bathroom! But that's probably cos people keep nicking them!!
Review 86:Use of swimming pool & Jaccuzzi included. Breakfast included, and was excellent. view overlooking sea. Only a short walk from town centre and facilities. Will defiantly be staying here again next time we visit Tenby.
Review 87:As we are used to memory foam the bed was a little uncomfortabl, and pillows too hard. But we enjoyed our stay so didn't worry too much about it.
Review 88:Very polite and professional service, spa facilities very clean and very tasty breakfast.
Review 89:The staff were all very friendly and polite and welcoming. The room was lovely - the staff managed to get us a cancellation for a superior double sea view which made all the difference to our stay. The breakfasts were fabulous. We can't fault the hotel. Lovely place to stay, best location possible in Tenby.
Review 90:I liked it all! !
Review 91:EVERYTHING! A lovely welcome, efficient and helpful staff, clean & fresh room, relaxing lounge area, delicious breakfast - including a fresh fruit salad, and a wonderful pool and spa facilities. All in a wonderful location - as good as it gets!
Review 92:Wifi kept throwing us off and I thought that the lounge area was a bit spartan (could have been a bit cozier).
Review 93:We had a great time. Loved the very warm pool and sauna area after a long walk on the cold but beautiful beach. Staff were all very friendly.
Review 94:Sauna turmed off durng day. We stayed in room 8 and walls paper thin we could hear everything said and done next door
Review 95:Carringtons fantastic best meal had in a long while and staff excellent pool area exxellent
Review 96:Room was a little small but not the end of the world.. but try to avoid a room next to or close to stairway as doors are very noisy (room 32)
Review 97:Would definitely return here, good location spa was great and staff very helpful and friendly.
Review 98:Room not quite as warm as we would have liked but were assured that it could have been sorted if we had mentioned it to staff.
Review 99:Lovely pool. Free parking. Close to town centre and beautiful beaches.
Review 100:The bed wasn't comfortable and found it quite hard to get off to sleep.
Review 101:Loved how approachable and friendly the staff were. Really nice, polite and helpful.
Review 102:natural yougurt had thickener it was defiantly not yeo valley quality Lounge would have bee more cosy with a carpet down
Review 103:building as a whole pool and facilities breakfast helpful staff
Review 104:We couldn't find any fault with any part of our stay.
Review 105:We had a lovely comfortable stay at the Atlantic Hotel recently. The staff were friendly and well trained. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully clean and the hotel was very nice indeed. Breakfast was delicious and we would recommend that guests try the Welsh Breakfast.
Review 106:the spa facilities were a let down as they were only open between 7:30am and 10am.
Review 107:the hotel was excellent, great location and good food. very helpful staff. would definitely visit again.
Review 108:nothing
Review 109:The staff were very welcoming, the hotel is in a perfect position, just out of the city walls but easy walking distance. Spotlessly clean everywhere and breakfast was very nice too.
Review 110:In our bedroom the vertical blinds were continually flapping when windows open, which we required open for ventilation, couldn't open small window and duvet too warm for time of year. Lastly tea/coffee tray a bit sparse, could with more choice of coffee, water , etc.
Review 111:Excellent location, spa facility though jacuzzi could do with upgrade, staff very pleasant and helpful.
Review 112:Small Bed Length- my feet were a 1/2ft over the end. Small & limited TV service - could not see any details- no larger TV available for Sports Channel Swimming Pool - chlorine levels too high - we had smarting eyes for the rest of the evening after use. Difficult double doors on the stairs - narrow with one side open and awkward to try and hold both open with luggage in hand.
Review 113:Breakfast & Service Available Leisure Facilities Location
Review 114:We couldn't say anything negative.
Review 115:Staff were really friendly and helpful, room was lovely, food was great and spa facilities were really enjoyable.
Review 116:No dislikes at all.
Review 117:One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Excellent location. Very efficient, friendly staff, especially the ladies in reception. Very good food, comfortable, airy rooms, immaculate decor, and a lovely swimming pool. Nothing was too much trouble.
Review 118:Nothing to say here.
Review 119:All staff were exceedingly friendly and very helpful. The location was ideal for us. The "private" garden across the road was perfect for relaxing in the sun. Organising some very fine weather was an added bonus.
Review 120:having to checkout & leave.
Review 121:the room was adequate & comfortable with service to match, everything catered for, the breakfast was smashingly tasteful and plentiful choice, its situation was excellent with its own car parking facilities
Review 122:Very helpful staff from reception to the waiters at breakfast, which was best ever tasted, fresh and hot , plenty of choice. Should have booked a room with a sea view , will do next time. Free car parking a bonus .
Review 123:The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and we had plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is the best hotel I have visited in Tenby.
Review 124:The only hotel in recent years, whatever the grade, that provided a full box of tissues in the room and didn't have any signs about saving the planets towels. It's the little things that count. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 125:No landings to stairs, fire doors not opening in direction of escape, cramped en-suite, mould around bath.
Review 126:Everything else, apart from Eastern European waiter at breakfast tryingto remove my plate when clearly not finished.
Review 127:the atlantic hotel was fab, we booked through booking.com and had a fantastic room, it wasnt a sea view, but very comfortable and arm, the staff were very attentive, and the hotel is very well situated for the centre, the spa was fantastic, there was only the 2 of us in and it was lovely, the breakfast next morning was superb, we would certainly stay here again if we were to go back to Tenby
Review 128:Nothing to dislike
Review 129:There was nothing to dislike about the hotel, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help in any way they could, top class hotel, can't wait to go back.
