Review 1：The housekeeping staff that disregards the door hangers (do not disturb/clean the room) and lets the rooms opened and unattended! This is something that has to be improved globally, and not dealt with as a pre-complaint basis. In my opinion, the training and SOPs have to be reviewed and corrected, for all the housekeeping staff (management included). The overpriced dog fee that doesn't (10€/day) that doesn't offer any specific service in exchange (not even a water bowl in the room or a mat). The 'industrial' (or mass tourism) aspect of the whole complex, let's face it the 'romantic' adjective applies as much to this hotel as it applies to a Ryanair plane ;) The standard rooms are a bit on the small side, and the bathroom is clearly very small (but still functional). Some areas in the building could need a refreshing or a coat of paint (but overall the place is well maintained). The low quality of the food and the lack of a real local flair in the cooking (yes there were some -rare- fish or squid at the buffet, but they felt as Croatian as fish and chips). Noisy guests slamming the doors at night, and lack of proper soundproofing.

Review 2：Awesome staff at breakfast and dinner, very professional and friendly, they couldn't be praised enough. Very nice location, close to the beach and surrounded by pines. Great sea view. The pools and jacuzzi are also a great feature of the hotel (when the beach isn't an option). Nicely equipped fitness area. Food quantity (if you're looking for that, over quality). Decent choice of nice wines on the menu. Close to the city center, via a nice sea-front path.

Review 3：Rooms are very basic, sun beds at the beach for additional charge. If the rooms would be better furnished and decorated I would rate the hotel as 4 star. Positive -good soundproofing, we did not hear the neighbours, however the house was full.

Review 4：Very good location, pine trees around, nice park, small Laguna beach with the the sand very convenient to sweam for grown ups and for children. Good restaurant. We very positively surprised by the food quality and variety at three star hotel. Nice staff.

Review 5：Lady at reception during check out kept talking German although we clearly responded in English. Romantic room: mold in bedroom, bedroom and livingroom quite old and not cosy. Rooms were not cleaned properly before or during our stay. Terrace is next to terrace of bar. Lots of mosquitos so we could not use the terrace. Forgotten bikini (of previous guest?) was left on our terrace.

Review 6：Food was very good: breakfast and dinner. Dinner was a lot better than other big touristic hotels we have been to. Staff in restaurant was very friendly. Staff at reception was also very friendly (except during check out). Good location, close to center of Krk (15 min by foot) and close to ferry service (20 min by car) to Cres/Losinj and Rab. Romantic room: toilet and bathroom were renovated.

Review 7：The hotel is incredibly expensive for what was on offer. The setting is lovely but only part of that was down to the hotel setup, we paid for a suite and although the balcony was fantastic the suite was a very odd layout, the shower flooded and the toilet required a contorted manoeuvre to be able enter whilst negotiating the door to it. We also had a room for the teenage kids which was pretty small and looked over the park, a small balcony could have been provided but at least half the rooms only have a smallish window. Being forced to have the half board did not worry me and the food was okay to good but it really annoyed me that we could not get any tap water with the evening meal, whether we ordered drinks or not, the answer just was the restaurant does not provide it. The staff on reception and cleaning were really nice but some of the restaurant staff were pretty miserable. The food in the restaurant was not matched by the ambience, it was large scale catering in a characterless room with no outlook to the sea except for the very lucky few able to grab one of the 8 or so tables in the separate seating by the window. As a family we were not looking for romance but the tag line for the hotel did rather surprise us.

Review 8：The location was fantastic, right on the sea and within an easy walk of lovely old Krk town. The balcony we had was perfect for sunbathing and then sitting in the evening enjoying views of the sea. Also very nice was sitting in the taverna restaurant ( although we were not told until our last evening that we could eat there in the evening if we had signed up in advance, to avoid paying over and above the half board. I am afraid the total feeling we had was that this was a hotel planning to make large profits by charging extra for everything and by catering for a large number of guests.

Review 9：The two twin beds merged together to be a queen size is always an uncomfortable bed, common in Europe.

Review 20：The room 421 need a some renovation. TV is small, conditioner is not working and it´s just not cozy. The most terrable is the shower - it´s really small, the bigger person will not fit and the water changes itself all the time, so you will get cold water and hot water during the showering - THIS NEEDS FIXING!

Review 36：Heute um 4:08 PM I would like to point out that you should be aware when reserving Hotel for longer time,10 days, two weeks...If you, like we done, decide to leave hotel earlier due to very bad weather, rain, strong wind, thunderstorms,cold air,almost daily..do not expect that you will pay only days you stay in Hotel.They will charge you all reserved days.Only exception if somebody died in your Family.It is not their fault that the weather was so bad in Croatia, but it is not yours as well.They should be frendly and at least give some days for free, because nobody should expect that you stay two weeks on very bad weather and caught cold.You would like to enjoy Sun and swimming in warm sea.So hotel will charge you to pay whole bill. Food in hotel`s restoran was very good, what I would not say for food ordered during day in Taverna Koralj.Funny because it belongs to same Company. Breakfast caffee was very good in hotel`s restoran but bad on bar and very bad in Taverna. Badclothes was not frequently changed, we had same for a week.

Review 38：Our room was overlooking a passage way and we could not open the window if we wanted ANY privacy. The room had no sunlight at all (being under the passage way). The room itself was in a bad condition.

Review 47：We didn't quite understood the room policy- we booked a sea side room and of course we thought that is supposed to be a sea view room, and when we got there we got a room from where you could sea the sea hidden after a building's corner and an interior yard with chairs. We told this to reception and they said that the sea-side room means a room with a park view but that they will do their best to help us. And so they did- the second day they gave us a sea view room eith a great view. Also good to know that only so called " romantic rooms " have a balcony. The drinks at restaurant and taverna a bit too expensive.

Review 48：The hotel has an excellent location, very close to a pebble beach or to the hotel's beach-pavement. The view is magnificent. The pool and jacuzzi are great- clean and good temperature. The food is excellent, varied menu, was great even for our 3 years old son. The tavern is also great, amplaced in the pine forest, but with a seaview and good food. The reception staff was very polite and helped us with our request-Suzane P. The guys and girls who served also very nice and polite. We enjoyed our stay there.

Review 97：Unfortunately there were a few things that really degraded my experienceand leave a poor taste in my mouth. My credit card was overcharged with10% on the day of arrival saying that the extra money is needed to coverthe costs in the restaurant/bar. Another frustrating point was thatthe hotel staff charged my credit card with an additional cost from theminibar which we didn't eat/drink. They also tried to charge uswith 50 EURs for the sunbed towels. We will definitely be returning toKrk, but unfortunately, we will do it at another resort.

Review 98：The sea bays surrounded by pine forests of Krk are among the mostbeautiful beaches of Croatia and the location of this hotel isspectacular. We had beautiful sea view accomodations and good variety offood on buffet breakfasts and dinners. We travelled with our 8 month oldbaby and it was great to have a pool nearly to ourselves.

Review 99：Waren sehr enttäuscht über das Hotel. Preis/Leistung war einfach schlecht! Duschvorhang alt und schmutzig, nicht zeitgemäß! Meerblick war auch nicht gegeben wie gebucht! Nur wenn man sich übers Geländer lehnt! Dünne Wände und Türen mit Schlitzen wo man durchsehen kann. Es gibt bessere Hotels in der Umgebung. Man sollte einfach nicht versprechen, was man nicht halten kann!

The rooms were also a little of a let-down compared to the looks of the hotel from the outside and the lobby. Review 108：We had a deluxe suit which was not the largest and a bit dark. The cushion covers in the lounge really need replacing as there were quite a few dirty marks on them. A better selection of pillows in the bedroom would be a good idea-for those who like firm pillows. Our booking advertised robes, slippers etc of which there were none. There was no hair dryer in the room and the shower was leaking out of the glass door. We could also hear quite a lot of noise from the upstairs guests. I do feel there is definitely room for improvement, as at 150 euro per night, I had expected a bit more. This did include half board, however we decided to venture out for dinner so can not comment on the evening meal.

Review 109：The hotel is located within 10 minutes walk to the centre along a beautiful path beside the water. The breakfast was good with lovely views from the restaurant over the water. Our deluxe suit had a fully fenced cobble stone terrace (ground floor) over looking the sea which was nice. There was a kettle and a selection of tea in our room. We had 2 deck chairs with cushions on our terrace & we loved the kids playground for our little one.

Review 110：Our room (201) didn't had the best location, it was right next to the hotel bar were they played loud live music on the evenings and we were told that we couldn't have another room. The staff were a bit uncomfortable speaking english with us.

Review 116：The building is old. the wellness area is not included in room price and costs 10€ per person, even if this is not really a wellness area; It consists only on two small saunas for maximum 2 person each, and a very small turkbath for maximal 4 people. Shower water is not hot enough and has no pressure. The rooms are decorated in an old fashion style. we had to change the apartment because in the first one air conditioning was not working, there was no bin in the badroom, and in the closet there was humidity. They gave us two other apartments to visit. But they were not much better. In the one we choosed there was a dead cockroach, but air condittioning was working properly. And the worst they told us that normally the price of the room in March is 200€!!! this price is ridiculous.

Review 124：A szálloda gyönyörű, jól felszerelt szép és tiszta szoba, kényelmes és hatalmas ágy, helyes kis erkély(amit ráadásul grátiszba kaptunk, pedig normál szobát foglaltunk)! A hotel étterme kiváló, kitűnő és bő reggeli, választékos vacsora, nagyon finomakat ettünk és ittunk! A személyzet fantasztikus, figyelmesek, segítőkészek udvariasak! A medencék vize hűvös és tiszta, bár a tengerpart is pár lépcsőnyire van ahol szintén kényelmesen lehet pihenni, de aktívan kikapcsolódni is(aqua park, saját napozóágyak, beton placc...) A kiépített parton fokozatosan mélyülő homokos a víz, gyerekekkel is ideális, míg pár méternyire már sziklás part is van, árnyékos strandhelyekkel,beugró kristálytiszta vízű öblökkel, tusolóval(1 kuna kb. 30 másodperc víz) a kényelmes strandolásért. Krk óvárosa gyalog kb. 15-20 perces sétával kényelmesen megközelíthető. Mindenkinek ajánlom mert tényleg megéri az árát!

Even red wine must be served cooler in summer and thetemperature should be like 13-15 (since it will get warm in few minuteswhile getting air in the wine pitcher). Second they were not able togive us the wine that we asked from their own list :) Finished... Thatcan be acceptable only in october before the premises close... Had towait for half an hour to get our wine.... And you can not smoke outsidewith your wine...So forget about dinner in the hotel.... But thepersonel after my complaint was good and they even did not charged thathot red wine... But of course I prefer getting a good service and payingfor it. So we went to Krk City and had to drink there and eat... Thereis no one who can explain me that you cant smoke outside while eatingand drinking wine... Looks like a collage restaurant... But this is thecase with many Valamar hotels... They should have separate area forsmokers particularly during dinner... This is a must!!!! It is ok to putthem seperate but there must be tables where you can smoke... In anycase this is what you can find best in Krk.. So when you know all theseyou are happy :) Can come back again but with all these in mind....

Review 131：Second time in Valamar... The bay is great but getting dirtier.... Itwas the end of schools and lot of students were in the bay..... Thehotel is best on Krk City I think
