Reviews for Wetherby Sea-View House Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:The rooms were spectacular with amazing sea views. The innkeepers were so friendly and helpful, Craig in particular was outstanding! The breakfasts were delicious, the location was perfect- can't say enough about this place!!

Review 2:The view from our room which overlooked the back could have been nicer. The rooms facing the sea would have been preferable. Separate faucets for hot and cold water. Shower only. Small toilet with sliding door All this is, however, little problems.

Review 3:We stayed two nights at Wetherby Nice host couple, mother and son. Good breakfast with shared breakfast with tourists from different countries. Fruitful talks about different cultures. This of course depends on who you get to the table.

Review 4:The care and attention, given to our comfort and needs, was excellent. We have been lucky our whole trip throughout Scotland, with sunny days....this allowed us to enjoy the wonderful view of the ocean from the front bedroom!! We were not disappointed at all!

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:I like the house. Old but nice interior and cozy. We had very nice breakfast. There's a good restaurant near by for lunch and dinner. Very friendly owner.

Review 7:Having stayed at a few similar B&Bs on this holiday nightly rate was a little high for this small room.

Review 8:Received very warm welcome on arrival thank you. Close to Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield. Good breakfast.

Review 10:We were the first customers to start the 2015 season but everything worked fine. Greg & his folks are very friendly & catered to our every need.

Review 11:Friendly welcome, and excellent room with a view over the moray. The breakfast was great, Craig chatted to me during breakfast as I was the only guest. The last of the season I was informed, but standards were maintained to the end. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Review 12:needs blinds on the front window for the evening maybe a small desk instead of the coffee table to make using the wifi easier.

Review 13:Lovey family and lovely room!!! I felt like I was staying at Grandmas only with wifi ! Amazing view of the Moray Firth !! thanks for the great time! Walk across the road to the sea! Would stay there again and would recommend it to everyone.

Review 14:nothing

Review 15:location excellent . friendly welcome. room clean and tidy with en suite. views superb. double and single bed in room.very comfortable. breakfast tasty with excellent choice.

Review 16:We only stayed one night even though I paid for two, as we completed work as we returned to guest house st 7.45 pm the towels had not been changed from the day before considering I had worked all day Monday used my towel Monday night and then again on Tuesday morning I did not expect to use it a third time when I got finished, I'm just glad I drove home to a shower and a clean towel at my own house

Review 17:Staff were very friendly on arrival and breakfast was good

Review 18:Only had time for 2 days stay.

Review 19:Looking out over the sea with the perfect situation to view the dolphins close to shore. Plenty of good quality restaurants nearby. Nairn is not spoilt by the usual tourist shops in seaside towns.

Review 20:the room was a bit "fluffy" but nothing wrong

Review 21:Our room was upgraded The room was large and the bathroom was wonderful The food was great The location was not to be beaten, close to village and overlooking the firth. The room was spotless There were nice comfy chairs to sit and look out in our room

Review 22:Location! The comfort of the surroundings and the first class service from the Hosts.

Review 24:Towels loked good but not sufficiently absorbent Only two small windows open so room could be a little stuffy

Review 25:Very spacious room Two large comfortable beds Excellent view oy the sea Excellent breakfast Very good nearby restaurant for evening meal Congenial hosts

Review 26:We had a 2 night stay and wished it were longer. Our spacious room was bright and clean and overlooked the sea - what a beautiful sight! Our host, Craig, was very accommodating and helpful. We met his mom and dad (in fact, his dad played us a little tune on the accordion) - we felt right at home. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. During our 7 day journey through Scotland, it was our favorite place to stay. Would highly recommend!

Review 27:No residents lounge. No Bar. Felt it was overpriced considering the lack of facilities.

Review 28:Freindly helpful staff. Fantastic views. Clean and Comfortable. Very good breakfast.

Review 56:Location Breakfast Helpful staff Comfort

Review 57:Location

Review 58:This B and B is the old fashioned home that is welcoming and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Very enjoyable stay.

Review 59:Nothing to dislike!

Review 60:Everything!

Review 61:Very high quality

Review 62:All good

Review 63:nothing as break was good

Review 64:very friendly

Review 65:Toilet door

Review 66:everything is perfect!

Review 67:Wifi didn't work particularly well, making a difference to me only because I was on business and not leisure.

Review 68:Very welcoming, clean and comfortable.

Review 69:The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, didn't even switch on the tv as the view was too good to miss - even through the rain. Excellent places to eat in the evening within walking distance.

Review 70:I booked a room for my mother and daughter to have a few days break. They were delighted with every aspect of their stay. They were so impressed that they phoned me within 5 minutes of booking in to tell me how wonderful the room and indeed the B&B was. Great views of the beach, very friendly owner and a tasty cooked breakfast each morning.

Review 71:Room was excellent and very clean and comfortable ..staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious and plentiful ..the view from the front rooms are stunning looking out over the Moray Firth ...We highly recommend this B & B

Review 72:The welcome from the owners was lovely always time for a chat and couldn't do enough for you. The Hotel was very comfortable and location was excellent could not fault it

Review 73:The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They were extremely helpful with a query we had and provided information on where to eat and what to see

Review 74:The toilet did not have real door just an accordium folding doors. The scotish breakfast is very nice not realy diverse food is available if you want continental breakfast.

Review 75:Very nice house and cosy atmosphere. Nice dining room. The house staff is very friendly. The location is really nice because its next to the sea. However you can enjoy it only if you habe the room with sea view.

Review 76:B & B brilliant, room was lovely and so was breakfast. Our hosts were so kind and thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our walks on the beach and our evening meals at the Bandstand. A really chilled out break for us.

Review 77:The owners were very welcoming and the B&B is in a lovely position looking out across the Moray Firth. Full cooked breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day.

Review 78:Shower control a bit difficult to use sometimes.

Review 79:Good hospitality, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and lovely breakfasts. Wonderful sandy beach nearby and superb views.

Review 80:There is nothing really bad here it is just not as good as other b&b's we have seen in the UK. others had bigger rooms, a toilet brush, a proper door to the bathroom, a slightly warmer greeting, better parking places, refilled the bootle of water when you used it, small things like that. any of the above matters are ok as well (expect the missing toilet brush :-) ) at the Wetherby guesthouse BUT it is around 20% more expensive then other b&b's so not really good value for money

Review 81:Nice Interior Few minutes walk to the beach.

Review 82:Friendly family-run business. Lovely home with clean rooms and good breakfast table to enjoy the day. Close to pub and dinner options. Opposite white sand beach and park for walks.relaxing.

Review 83:No choice of cooked breakfast, only fried breakfast offered. Stayed in cheaper B & B's and have had a wide selection for Breakfast. Did not think there was a need for an extra single bed in the room, it made it feel cramped. Should have been a put up bed for when required. Quite expensive Did not appear to be a guest lounge, if there was it was not offered. Can't pay be Credit card

Review 84:Location View from room Comfort of bed Nice Bathroom

Review 85:Got locked out. In spite of warning the owner we might be late. Stood for twenty minutes and after this a guest let us in. Otherwise would have been left stranded. Hence why we left after one night.

Review 86:Position of house

Review 87:This is a lovely B&B run expertly by the family. Enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Breakfasts excellent with owners going out of their way to cover special requests for breakfast. Communal table excellent idea to encourage exchange of information with others. Will be back!

Review 88:Struggling to find a negative. Cost potentially?

Review 89:Very warm welcome. Beautiful home. Superb location and views. Good facilities in room. Lovely breakfast.

Review 90:Great location and hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again soon. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfasts excellent. Highly recommended.

Review 91:in the bathroom where is a mirror, there is no elecrical outlet for the hairdryer, and in the bedroom there is an electrical outlet but no mirror except a very small but inconvenient to unusable.

Review 92:All in all it was a good location for our stio on the way to Wick. The view was excellent, the room clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast o.k.

Review 93:perfect location, very friendly staff, more for breakfast than we could eat... the standard of the rooms exceeds expectations you would have at this price. highly recommend this wonderful place

Review 94:The place and especiallyb the lodging was a pleasant surprise. The only problem was the breakfast, which was justv too much unless you are a hardworking logger or something.

Review 95:Our host Craig, was most helpful and obliging. Our room had an incredible sea view. The food was great. This is probably the best B&B in Nairn! We would recommend it to anyone and it is the only place we would stay if we returned to Nairn.

Review 96:Run by a friendly helpful guy and the cooked breakfast really is second to none. We had a nice comfortable room overlooking the sea view, it was a pleasant stay

Review 97:Our greatest disappointment was that we had to spend our last night there instead of our first. Next year we'll base our travels FROM Wetherby House into the rest of the highlands.

Review 98:The host and view were fantastic. The room was charming with a full bay window view of Moray Firth meeting the North Sea. The village of Nairn is friendly and full of sweet surprises, like the nesting swans on an island in the burn with two cygnets and residents enjoying their four-legged friends. Great unexpected places to get a bite or dine in style are within walking distance of Wetherby.

Review 99:Position - a short stroll across the grass to the edge of the sea. Warm welcome - Clean, rooms containing all one could want for the short stay we had planned - Excellent breakfast - enough to last you until evening!

Review 100:This is a family run B & B Ann Willie and Craig are very friendly and welcoming. They couldn't do enough to make your stay pleasant. I took my husband there for 3 days for his 70th birthday and Willie got his accordion out and played some Scottish tunes for him. It is spotless and we had a room facing the sea. Lovely views.

Review 101:Nothing at all.

Review 102:Friendly welcome from Craig. Lovely big spacious house with excellentlocation and stunning views directly across from grass lawn and beach.Less than 50 yards from local pub serving excellent meals and real ale.Breakfast first class with nice soft black pudding and best tea I'vetasted in ages. Massive front room with the largest en-suite I'veseen for a long time. Big bath, walk in shower , plenty hot water andsoft fluffy towels. Quiet at night so good nights sleep with comfy bed.Nothing to complain about here and would highly recommend. Will stayhere again if back in the area.

Review 103:nothing to dislike

Review 104:A lovely clean and friendly hotel very comfortable and very well looked after, food of an exelent standard and time to talk to guests

Review 105:large clean room, large ensuite, breakfast excellent view of the sea really close, friendly owners, great dining in short walking distance, quiet and comfortable room
