Reviews for Dunard B&B

Review 1:The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The decor of the rooms was modern but the beautiful features of this old house were retained with skill such as the doors and staircase.

Review 2:Friendly, warm, welcoming, crisp white linen, hot bath, total use of fascilities as only guest, delicious carefully prepared breakfast and spotless. Open fire a bonus.

Review 3:Dunard is a lovely B&B in Stirling - the owners are a lovely, very friendly and welcoming couple. I stayed for one night with my daughter prior to her Graduation at University of Stirling which was only a few minutes away in car. We enjoyed a relaxing and cosy night at Dunard in the sitting room with coal fire - bliss! Breakfast was very well organised in the morning and full English was well presented and delicious - we truly couldn't have asked for more and would definitely stay again.

Review 4:Such a lovely B&B- proprietor was an absolutely fabulous host. The room was delightful and the Scottish breakfast yummy. Possibly the best dark coffee I have ever had!

Review 5:Awkward to get car in & out of, is on a Main Street fairly busy.

Review 6:Greeted with a fire in the lounge area, which we could use whenever, friendly host, comfortable bedroom.

Review 7:There was no bathroom door indicator to know if it is occupied.

Review 8:Gillian was very welcoming and her accommodation provided a lovely home away from home. Fantastic breakfast too.

Review 9:Needs a mirror near a plug for hairstyling, was given one on request though. Heating could do with coming on a bit earlier, I got up at 7.30 and it wasn't on then so a bit cold.

Review 10:Ideal location, cosy house, spacious, ground floor room, big bathroom.lovely breakfast,

Review 11:Gillian and Marco were very friendly and welcoming; happy to accommodate our late check-in time! Our room was clean and comfortable. A good deal of traffic in and out of the shared bathroom, but not really an issue! Our good night's rest was met with a good morning breakfast. It was a privilege to stay at Dunard B&B.

Review 12:Gillian is a great host. We felt like home. When we arrived she lit the fireplace for us. She also wrote for us indications of how to arrive to the restaurant that she had already booked for us to have dinner. Breakfast was plenty and very tastefull.

Review 13:Shared bathroom but Gillian told me they were upgrading rooms soon so that slight problem will soon be sorted.

Review 14:Great breakfast, freshly cooked. Comfortable beds. Nice little toiletries pack and tea coffee and biscuits provided. Very friendly and hospitable family run B & B.

Review 15:I do not like sharing a bathroom and the the house was very cold. The trains and busy road are right in front. Town us fine but nothing special.

Review 16:It was clean and a fine distance walk to town. The breakfast was good. The castle tour was excellent

Review 17:Situated on a busy road, so a bit noisy at night.

Review 18:A friendly, comfortable, family-run B & B. The landlady was extremely helpful and informative about the area, and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were excellent! Good value for money. Convenient for the centre of Stirling.

Review 19:Gillian made us feel very welcome, the house was lovely, and very clean Location was great! Nice stroll into the city and only 5 mins in the opposite direction to the next lovely town, the bridge in pub is not to be missed!

Review 20:Difficult to find and drive the narrow cobblestone road to the castle.

Review 21:Exciting to spend the night in an 11th century castle and loved the full English breakfast in the Great Hall.

Review 22:close to city centre and local attractions...the breakfast was awesome and the landlady Gillian was second to none..would definitely stay there again..

Review 23:The only negative is that it'd a little out of town.

Review 24:Delicious Scottish breakfast with real coffee! Attractive decor, veryclean, double room was pleasant. Host very welcoming.

Review 25:The B&B was centrally located, clean and nicely furnished. The owner was very nice and very helpful. We had a mix up with arrival time and we weren't able to meet the owner until the next morning at breakfast, but even so she made sure the B&B owner next door let us in to the property and showed us the room.

Review 26:Very friendly staff.... Accommodation catered for all our needs....fantastic breakfast which set us up for the day......we won't hesitate booking again.

Review 27:Only the bathroom being shared which, I understand, is in hand for replacement by en-suites.

Review 28:A well run stopover, convenient for Stirling and therefore Edinburgh and Glasgow. Everything was as it should be with individual attention obvious. Ideal as a stopover (for us) but might even be a useful base.

Review 29:The only minor issue I had was the shared bathroom, but this was only on one occasion where another guest took a rather long shower when I needed to leave in the morning! But this was not the owners' fault and I would still stay again.

Review 30:The staff were so friendly and gave lots of useful recommendations for eating and how to travel. The cooked breakfast was delicious! Bed also very comfortable.

Review 31:Not komfortable bathroom, old furniture, the chairs in the living room look not Nice, not comfortable to sit during the breakfast. When all rooms are buzy its so Long time to get the bathroom

Review 32:Very Nice owner,location

Review 33:Card payment was not available. But I suppose that's temporary.

Review 34:Gillian was very friendly, making this stay very pleasant. The B&B is conveniently located between William Wallace Monument and Old Town Stirling. Breakfast is very Scottish, which means awesome. Coffee is made fresh per person!

Review 35:The house was clean, the hostess very hospitable, it was within a ten minute walk to Wallace monument and about the same to town centre. The room was very comfortable and breakfast excellent. What more is needed?

Review 36:Puts the bar too high that other accommodations look so poor :))

Review 37:Dunard B&B is 15 mins away from city centre on foot. You can take the bus 60 and 63 from city center and arrive there in 5 minutes. The place is run by a family who is living at the same building and the host is such a nice, polite, helpful lady who try her best to make you happy and feel yourself home. There is a fireplace that you can read a book when their cat is having a nap next to you in the evenings. The breakfast is cooked perfect. It is 15 mins to Wallace Monument and 5 mins to a supermarket. There is a bus stop 20 meters away from the place. The bathroom is outside of the room however there are only a couple of rooms so it is not a problem. The bathroom and the room are perfectly clean. There are a kettle, tea and coffee in the room and brochures downstairs. Do not search for any other place. Just book Dunard B&B and enjoy your stay. 5 out of 5.....

Review 38:The shower leaked slightly on to the bathroom floor and was slippery but this can be easily fixed, was not a big issue for us.

Review 39:There are a number of things that make this B&B fantastic; There's a comfortable living room with a daily fire for the guests to use(encouraged but underused), the rooms are well sized, the beds and furnishings are all modern, clean and comfortable while still feeling homely. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay that much more special. A definite highlight of our trip.
