Reviews for The Heart Apartments Salford Quays
Review 1:Parking to expensive for one night especially if you need to leave and come back again.view during the day not a good sight from the back but not much of an issue. One mainor thing,,when we arrived staff was on a call I guessed to another customer which meant we had to wait a little bit,,was very tired and just could have done with checking in asap..sometimes having two staff might be useful.
Review 2:Room as pictured and as discribed,,very clean,,staff lovely and helpful
Review 3:We all agreed that the pillows were terribly lumpy and uncomfortable. En suite sink was far too small leading to a very wet floor, even after hand washing.
Review 4:Well equipped and contemporary apartment.
Review 5:Lack of certainty that there was always someone on reception. Heavy scuff marks on the walls. Toilet rolls should be a matter of course.
Review 6:Location and transport links excellent.
Review 7:Smoke alarm kept going off for no apparent reason. We were moved to another apartment where the sofas were stained and there was no TV in the bedroom.
Review 8:Very quiet and well equipped
Review 9:Supposed to be self catering. Very very limited equipment ie. Potato masher and ladle only kitchen implements. No tea towel or oven glove. No handle for grill pan.
Review 10:Close to Metro to city centre.
Review 11:THE LADY ON RECEPTION WAS SO UNHELPFUL. WE HAD TRAVELLED FOR 6 HOURS AND WAS TOLD UNDER NO EXCEPTION COULD WE CHECK IN BEFORE 3. ASKED IF THERE WAS SOMEWHERE TO CHANGE AND WAS TOLD NO. I AM IN THE SALES INDUSTRY AND MY OBJECTIVE IS TO MAKE MY CUSTOMERS HAPPY AND I WILL PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. IN MY OPINION IT WOULDNT OF HURT TO CHECK IN 1 HOUR BEFORE SO WE COULD OF GOT CHANGED OR FIND OUT WHEN THE ROOM WOULD BE AVAILABLE BUT ALAS NON OF THIS WAS AN OPTION. IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO STAY BUT WAS LET DOWN MASSIVELY BY THE RECEPTION STAFF.
Review 12:LOCATION WAS PERFECT
Review 13:Balcony doors had to remain shut because of "insurance".Check in was a nightmare, had to be after 15:00 exactly.Car parking in the Media City multi-storey was expensive and quite a walk to apartment building.
Review 14:Beautiful apartment overlooking the canal.
Review 15:Sofa and seats were dirty and not comfortable. There should be a phone at reception with direct link to holiday inn when no staff are at reception.
Review 16:Location for old trafford and restaurants
Review 17:Serviced Apartment did not have a microwave oven until we asked or one. Then the main oven did not work. Nowhere to hang coats in entry hall. This is my 3rd time staying in these apartments over 4-5 years. The apartments now show signs of wear. The bed is a shocker. OK for an overnight stay to go to the footie, but not for a 11 night stay.
Review 18:Location close to Media City
Review 19:Apartments were noisy and there was a constant whistle coming from the lift area We did not drive there but the parking did not appear to be good if you did have a car
Review 20:Apartment was in a good location for the football
Review 21:Rooms were spartan to the point of being uncomfortable, service was minimal and mostly reliant on Holiday Inn about a 5 minute walk away.
Review 22:Convenient to International War Museum, Old Trafford, restaurants on Salford Quay. Reasonably priced 3BR apartment.
Review 23:Everything was great - but we asked for a double bed - this was two singles put together
Review 24:Location was fantastic - staff were helpful and overall the standard of the apartment was great.
Review 25:Couldn't work out how to turn the taps on to run a bath and couldn't phone reception
Review 26:Excellent location, great apartment size. Good value do money
Review 27:no microwave, toaster not clean no tea towel, oven cloth floors not clean sit on bed to watch tv, tv too low no staff Monday morning, took half an hour and 3 phone calls to premier inn to arrange taxi.
Review 28:Staff were very very rude, spoilt the whole experience. Deposit required should be more clearly stated when booking.
Review 29:Nice apartment, good location in media city
Review 30:The location is bad! Very far away from downtown. It will take you around 15-20 pounds by taxi. They charged us 20pounds extra for the dog. So at the end it was not worth the economy.
Review 31:The room is very spacious and new! Clean, the bathroom is good. Good amenities and the kitchen well equipped.
Review 32:Lifts are confusing it's just a little room you can't swing a cat in looks nothing like in the photos it's not that posh disappointing won't be stopping again also you have to pay £200 pound deposit wot they don't tell you when your booking and it takes 3/4 days to be put back into your account tossers
Review 33:It was ok not worth it's money
Review 34:Was not sure where to park initially.
Review 35:The size of the two-bedroom apartment that we stayed in was more than 40 m2 which is double the 20 m2 (215 ft2) shown on booking.com.
Review 36:The pictures was misleading. The pictures on my booking resignation was of a much bigger apartment than we was out in with big windows overlooking the water. We was looking at a building site and couldn't open the windows.
Review 37:The fact we made breakfast in the kitchen
Review 38:Nothing to report except the marked bedroom carpet.
Review 39:Having stayed at The Heart Apartments more than two years ago and having recommended them to a group of girlfriends for a weekend away, it was good to see that the apartments were still well maintained. The apartments are in a great location with easy access to Manchester via the Metro and lots to do and see in the immediate area. The apartments themselves are clean and well equipped, although I think hard floors in the bedrooms would be better than carpets as one of the carpets in one of the two apartments we rented was badly marked. Other than that there were no complaints at all.
Review 40:No wardrobe in main bedroom and bedrooms tiny. No housekeeping Good views but tiny windows compromised the view Off site parking, and not particularly cheap.
Review 41:Location Full kitchen New build
Review 42:We had an evening event at the Lowry so location was perfect; check-in was simple and quick, and the apartment contained everything we might need including a washing machine. Hotel quality, home feel
Review 43:bed not the most comfy ever. but not uncomfy. some things from kitchen missing (e.g. sissors) but they were then brought up when needed. the lift also took a long time to come sometimes - so allow time for this!
Review 44:v convenient location (to the lowry where i was working), fabulous view from apartment. great amount of space. very nice bathroom. fluffy towels. good kitchen with most things there. quiet.
Review 45:The beds where vey uncomfortable. The pillows where rock hard. I have a disability and have spent the past 2 days unable to straighten up due to the sleeping conditions. I had to use the couch back cushions as a pillow for relief on the second night.
Review 46:The location was fantastic staff very helpful and the apartment was very clean. Everything you need for a break away from home.
Review 47:TV didn't work in room was transferred into a larger room with separate lounge but couldn't watch the TV in bed room!!
Review 48:Large comfortable rooms, very modern and well equipped, staff very helpfully
Review 49:Not easy to find, bed really uncomfortable, couldn't get TV to work and could do with a little freshen up with paint and furniture
Review 50:Nice view over the quay
Review 51:Both sofa s dirty and marked, could have been cleaner. Iron didn't work. Booked 2 bedroom apartment thinking my daughter and partner may join us but it only actually slept 3 people. Friends however had upgrade from 1 bedroomed apartment booked to 3 bedroomed on arrival .
Review 52:Spacious apartment. Good location, close to tram for ease to get to the city.
Review 53:The way we were treated late email which was not read but still stated that our booking was confirmed to getthere and be told that our booking had been cancelled spoilt the whole weekend
Review 54:The receptionist used two of my cards for the bond £200. Both declined due to her entering the wrong exp dates. Within minutes I had call from my bank.
Review 55:The room
Review 56:Hard to find was dark when we arrived access on a corner of building no obvious signs Car parking would have been nice if was in same building or adjacent to building not 100m up road after going round a 1 way system
Review 57:Modern, clean, friendly staff.
Review 58:The booking confirmation needs to indicate the procedure for getting parking discount. The signposting of the apartments is poor on campus.
Review 59:Location. Tea and coffee facilities.
Review 60:Check in counter on ground floor appears to be unmanned, requiring us to make our way to Holiday Inn during check in and check out (there is a key drop box in the lobby if guest doesn't require checkout paperwork). Still, had to leave without getting checkout paperwork at Holiday Inn since paperwork was apparently located at the Hearts Apartment which was unmanned.
Review 61:Great location next to BBC Salford, fully equipped kitchen, tea bags and coffee satchel provided. Great view but unable to access balcony due to insurance purposes. Cozy rooms.
Review 62:Still a lot of work to be done around the site but not the fault of any just another exciting place being developed in manchester.
Review 63:Location for media city and the quays.
Review 64:Seating area quite small could do with extra comfy seat 4 of us and only 2 seater sofa and chair which had rip in the side and was full of stains ?
Review 65:Nice appartment and happy with location
Review 66:Unfortunately our double bed was 2 singles pushed together and the mattresses were well past their best, pretty uncomfortable. Our shower seemed to be very low on pressure, when we've stayed in the past the shower had plenty of pressure. A small complaint was that there were blown lamps in a few of the light fittings, nothing major but something to sort out none the less.
Review 67:Great location close to old Trafford and only a short tram trip to city centre. Really friendly and accommodating staff. Apartments have everything needed to make your trip stress free and enjoyable.
Review 68:i booked 5 appartments for 9 people and although not a bad experience, the 2 bedroom appartments were smaller than I thought they would be. The one bedroom was better for space and layout. Real shame, not able to open the patio doors.
Review 69:The location was perfect as we were on a photo shoot. The staff were very helpful too.
Review 70:However the whole stay (one night only) was spoilt by the most uncomfortable bed I have experienced !! Springs sticking through made it feel so lumpy . Pillows are old / cheap and not at all comfortable , replace above and all would be good
Review 71:Location is excellent for access to Old Trafford Rooms are good
Review 72:The state of a chair and radiator were poor. It could have been cleaned rather easily. The windows were filthy outside and were not allowed to open them which was understandable but even with the turning off of the heating it was too hot. The apartments were not easy to find either. Better directions needed. Do not like the fact they take out to £200 deposit for the room once you get there
Review 73:The location for where we were going was great.
Review 74:double bed was two singles together, the fridge in a living room/kitchen was very noisy, flooring was of poor quality, the water pressure for the shower was very, very poor
Review 75:Location is where we needed to be, flat was airy
Review 76:No one on reception when I got there, had to wait 10 minutes to be let in. No one on reception again when I left in the morning so couldn't get parking validated and didn't get the half pricing parking I was told would happen.
Review 77:Location and facilities
Review 78:The washing machine didn't work. We didn't have time to wait for someone to sort the problem. We needed extra dishes for serving.
Review 79:The apartment had great views, was clean and comfortable with good inclusions.
Review 80:Appartment was adequate without being plush. The furniture in the living room poorly arranged and did not make best use of water view. It faced industrial docks rather than towards the bridge and development.
Review 81:Cigarette butt in the sink, fridge didn't work but staff were helpful about this, tv didn't work in second apartment so ended up with two apartments.
Review 82:Location was excellent, room was adequate for needs.
Review 83:A tea-towel in the kitchen would have been helpful.
Review 84:I have stayed here once before & would highly recommend the apartment. It is clean, well located & quiet. The boys were able to watch the football match with Old Trafford only being a 15 mins walk away & my daughter & I drove to Trafford Centre (10mins max) for an afternoon of shopping!
Review 85:A little hard to find as not signposted the well, also not aloud to use balcony which was a disappointment as had fantastic views
Review 86:Fantastic apartment lovely decor, good helpfull staff
Review 87:Excellent rooms, high standard of hygiene. Located a bit out of central Manchester but Staff are readily available and willing to book taxis, there is also a tram station near by. Holiday inn express is there for any needs you encounter when the reception staff are off shift. Highly recommend
Review 88:So far from the city , no staff or contact with any persons. Parking place is too far and there is no assistance for loading and unloading of luggage . Finally for one to 2 persons it feels rather lonely.
Review 89:The room views, tidiness, facilities and size. Ideal for a group travelling together.
Review 90:I wanted to rent the apartment for me and a grup of friends we woreplanning to have a small gathering / celebration there I arrived tothe front desk and I was surprised to hear that no one can enter in theroom except the guests who booked in. I didn't find that fair attolas it wassent written on their site. Verry strict policy regardingnoise. (Again not specified on the website.) Windows are to be keptpermanently closed I dident understood why. And the room was not so tidyold furniture and verry small beds room are extremely small for a 2 bedflat standard! I refused to stay as the pictures did not relate with thereality and no surprise was when the management refused to give meanything back. Aldough I said I will get a new apartment in other place.600 pounds thrown in the garbage. Parking is awfull!! Verry expensivethey have a "offer" 7 pounds per day but with the condition tokeep the car there if u take it out earlier then 5 hours you will paythe normal fee for 5 hours wich will be like 12-15 pounds. So basicallyyou need to " abandon " your car there for the entire trip ifu dont want to pay at the end of the day 20-30 pounds /day. Thankyou for this experience. I learned my lesson.
Review 91:Nothing.
Review 92:Parking is bit far, not ideal when you have kids and its raining. Reception staff was mostly away as a result I couldn't get discount on parking. Price is also on a higher side.
Review 93:Clean apartment and location was good.
Review 94:Bit disappointed that the two bed apartment didn't have patio doors as per picture
Review 95:Two mins to the tram. Clean area with amazing views and gorgeous eateries so close
Review 96:The price for one night was quite a lot more than I would have liked to have paid but it was a last minute booking when another hotel wasn't available so it's understandable.
Review 97:Lovely receptionist, very clean room and kitchen
Review 98:The bed was not very comfortable, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor.
Review 99:Very clean and well appointed, good location and very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 100:Feather pillows, seating arrangements not as comfortable as could be.Not as clean as expecting IE: carpets and bathroom area.
Review 101:Location was excellent ,spacious and overall good for a weekend.
Review 102:Not able to open door to balcony because of health and safety requirements -this meant that there was no means of having fresh air in the apartment - no window available.
Review 103:Excellent location and facilities with a warm welcome by staff
Review 104:the fact the I booked doubled room and I had two single beds that been stuck together to make it look like its a double so that wasn't comfortable at all.
Review 105:staff were so friendly and location was perfect.
Review 106:Bed mattress is very uncomfortable hard almost and comprises of two single mattresses to make a double which left one of us tittering into the gap. Not allowed access to the balcony which sort of defeats the point of having one. Cant see how this is a H & S issue for two adults wishing to get full advantage of the views and a nice sunny day??
Review 107:Convenient, nicely appointed, good views.
Review 108:I understand the no open balcony policy but wish it wasn't in place as it gives the apartment the wow factor
Review 109:Great location, modern spacious apartments
Review 110:Wooden floor was cold & noisy. Kettle lead too short. Had problems getting the TV & Internet to work on arrival.
Review 111:Very quiet. Good location. Reasonably spacious
Review 112:We were at the BBC side of the property rather than facing the water and one morning at 5 a.m. I was woken by the dustbins being collected -this lasted for nearly half an hour. We did have our window open. We shut it after that.
Review 113:The location is excellent. This apartment had two duvets which was great as we each like our own.
Review 114:Apartment had a bath but there was no way to use it as taps only operated the shower. I wouldn't have minded just a shower but this was frustrating
Review 115:Well-equipped, comfortable apartment with great views. Comfy bed and plenty of space
Review 116:Modern apartment, well equipped and reasonably spacious. Easy access - even easier by tram! Quiet location at night as the offices nearby are busy during the day but largely empty at night.
Review 117:There was a person smoking in apartment next door which had a balcony not ideal on a hot night when windows needed to be open Clear no smoking signs were evident ever where but this did not stop this individual
Review 118:Good location quiet area with young children very important
Review 119:Requested earlier check in got an email saying the apartments accepted it when we arrived the receptionist said he had no email of accepting an early check in - until i showed him my email I received. In the cupboard there was one filthy glass sitting with the other two clean ones - however we got a new clean one, the fridge was filthy inside it looked like spilled milk from the last people that stayed which wasn't nice. Requested a room with a view prior to your trip had no reply and got put in a room straight across from offices so you have to close the curtains as there's no privacy. Huge hole in the wall which then led me to have to take photos of everything in the apartment as they take a £200 deposit incase anything is damaged. Also a nightmare for booking taxis as the majority of taxis have no idea where the apartments are - not the apartments fault obviously but a pre warning if you're booking taxis as numerous times I had to get google maps out for the taxis.
Review 120:Bathroom was nice, apartment was relatively clean apart from the glass and fridge was filthy inside. Apartment was pretty spacious.
Review 121:that not once did anyone inform us of the £200 per apartment deposit to pay on arrival. Totally understand that there should be a deposit, but would strongly advise heart apmts to make it clearer before the visit!
Review 122:great location and view over the river
Review 123:Parking is expensive in the nearby car park and on one night there was no-one to validate my car parking and I had not noticed the sign on the desk about ringing someone so parking was extremely expensive that night.
Review 124:Close to everything that we needed.
Review 125:Double bed was awful needed a new mattress.Didn't get a wink of sleep. Also no where to hang anything in the double bedroom , no wardrobe or even a hook but lots of wasted space in the hall
Review 126:Good location. And the facilities were as advertised .clean and tidy
Review 127:Dirty towells in bathroom on arrival. No plug for bath. Very uncomfortable double bed.
Review 128:Easy to drive to from motorway. Nice area, close to tram line.
Review 129:Booked a 2-bed apartment and didn't expect that to be 1 double and 1 single. The living room was basically squeezed into the kitchen. Won't be staying there again. Also, it said parking was free - it was not.
Review 130:the room we got was different from the booking profile.expensive distant car park, very small rooms just bigger than the bed. uncomfortable beds, very bad smell on coming inside to take the lift. it comes from the garbage room that faces the lifts.
Review 131:location
Review 132:We were not told about a security deposit until we arrived after a 3 hour drive at 9pm and were told we weren't allowed a key without one! Despite the fact I had paid in full and they had my card details! Two of us were then left with no money all weekend as we had to pay! Very silly mistake to make as we were in contact with both heart apartments and booking.com and were not informed about a holding deposit at any point until arrival.
Review 133:Apartment was amazing for 4 of us! Amazingly clean with everything we could possibly need! Staff at reception were great in hiring us taxis and dealing with late check ins!
Review 134:Car park quite a distance from apartment block, especially with heavy cases to load and unload. Reception rarely manned.
Review 135:Good location near Imperial War Museum and all Salford Quays attractions, with easy tram and taxi access to city centre.
Review 136:this was a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 couples booked in yet there was only one settee and 1 arm chair in lounge. both were stained badly . there was no TV in bedroom so no alterative than one person had to sit on dinning chair to watch TV. disappointed as booked room with balcony then unable to access balcony due to insurance purpose
Review 137:location, this our first time in a serviced apartment and it was a good experience would recommend as an alternative to hotel stay. Due to our room not being ready on arrival staff dealt with the issue and compensated with a free breakfast .
Review 138:Great location. Had a nice meal out in Media City and walked thr grounds. Car park close by and got discounted overnight rate from the reception. Loading bay outside was perfect. Apartment was clean, well presented. Would definitely stay here again if flying from Manchester as it was only about 15 mins drive.
Review 139:no change of towels until 5th day, carpet and flooring dated, furniture stained and tired, bin men morning visit at 0550 hrs everyday of our stay
Review 140:it served a purpose
Review 141:The worse pillows ever! (very lumpy and hard) The bed was hard and the sheets felt very ruff against our skin. I didn't sleep for two nights whilst staying in these apartment.
Review 142:The apartment was very clean and the staff were very welcoming.
