Reviews for The Flint Barn
Review 1:You need a cheese grater and a new shower mat.The bath filled slightly during showers, did not detract from my lovely stay.
Review 2:I stayed in the annexe, it was gorgeous.I was allowed to have it as warm as I wanted. It was spacious, comfortable in every possible way.I was able to come and go as I pleased. My room was cleaned daily.Sounds cliche, but it was a real home from home.Breakfast was freshly made with good quality produce, a good variety. A daily paper to read while you waited for it to be cooked.
Review 3:None
Review 4:Hard to pick a best thing as everything was great. The hosts, breakfast, space and finish were all wonderful. It would be a pleasure to stay again.
Review 5:Very difficult to find the property in the dark, would benefit from more obvious signage. Local pub came to the rescue to direct me!

Review 9:No one there when we arrived, called the number no answe, daughter turned up but did not know what to do she called her parents and we got in. She said we were lucky as she had just popped in. No apology from the owners
Review 10:Location
Review 11:Beautiful property, lovely quiet location, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great, sat around the table with others like a huge family - fantastic :)
Review 12:Outstanding place and very comfortable. Would love to return. Breakfast was good quality and staff were very friendly and helpful. Pub is only 50 yards away which served excellent food. George and dragon I believe.
Review 13:Excellent breakfast in the morning freshly cooked by wally. We stayed in an annexe king room and found it to be very comfortable and spacious. We would defiantly stay here again if we visit Newmarket races again
Review 14:Signage hard to see and not clear we were actually at the right place let alone where to check in. Minor issue.
Review 15:Clean, comfortable, well located, a good breakfast, and very good value.
Review 16:The bed far two firm for us no were to put shower jel s ect in shower
Review 17:The location the owners were very nice the pub just up the road walking distance
Review 18:Stayed in the annex, can't fault it. Clean, relaxing, great facilities, Wi-Fi worked fine, nice and quiet location but close to Newmarket, great breakfast, and friendly host. Can't ask for more!
Review 19:The only down side was poor network coverage on my phone, but free WiFi so I had WhatsApp.
Review 20:Like a holiday home rather than a being stuck in a premier inn room.
Review 21:It was all positive.
Review 22:Wonderful comfy bed; I had one of the best night's sleep I'd ever had! Fab pub just a couple of doors away. Very interesting church of St. Peter's around the corner. Self contained, private, peaceful.
Review 23:Coming home and leaving the glorious sunshine behind lol
Review 24:The house is beautiful, situated in the quiet, breath-taking, English countryside. The couple who run the place are warm, inviting folk and happy to help. We will certainly return and have already recommended to a few people to go spend a weekend. Breakfast is phenomenal, the full English is one of the best iv had. And their dog is lovely also so I'm pretty sure they are happy to have people bring their four legged compadres ;D Daniel and Jacki
Review 25:It has loads of character, the rooms are very large and clean, the breakfast was very good and the hosts are extremely friendly. Ideal for a stay if you are visiting the races as it's only a short taxi to the town and course. Will stay again when going racing at Newmarket.
Review 26:Lovely stay, quiet location, the owners were very hospitable, and it was relaxed. Excellent breakfast, and the bed was super comfy too! A good place for a lone traveler and felt very secure with off road parking.
Review 27:Only thing to complain about was that it was a bit cold in the room, but it was okay thanks to the thick blanket
Review 28:The B&B was a perfect place to stay. The bed was great and the room over all was very nice and clean. The hosts was super, they did much more than they would have had to do, for example drove me into Newmarket so I did'nt have to walk and even had an adapter to borrow since I did'nt think of bringing on myself. The breakfast was also amazing, did'nt have to eat lunch thanks to their good cooking!
Review 29:Nothing - stay was great.
Review 30:Great location - quiet and rural. Accommodation was great - stayed in Annex. Great value, clean, well decorated and maintained. Breakfast was delicious - high quality ingredients, well cooked. Lovely family friendly environment. Hosts was extremely pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend.
Review 31:Because we arrived late and the owners were out we didn't know where to turn up for breakfast - there were so many doors in the mews - and we weren't sure what was where!! A few directions in room would make this easier for guests :)
Review 32:We were so lucky to find a bed that night! Nice to have tea and coffee in room. Lovely breakfast. A very pretty spot - shame it was only for one night.
Review 33:When we arrived we couldn't find reception! There were no signs or clues - I ended up having to phone and eventually someone 'yoo-hooed' out of a 'private' door! There was some confusion and we got shown to the wrong room at first. However I persisted as I had booked an ensuite room.
Review 34:Family run and friendly. Breakfast was communal, round one big table. We liked that but I suspect many wouldn't! We had an ensuite room and the bathroom was lovely. Bedroom was spacious and wifi was free.
Review 35:To be able to lock door from outside (although staff are always downstairs)
Review 36:Beautiful countryside just a couple of miles from busy Newmarket. Sumptuous, very modern twin bedroom with loads of light. Beautiful country style dining room. Spacious, clean modern shower/bath.
Review 37:Nothing I didn't like.
Review 38:Excellent rural location close to Newmarket. Clean comfortable accommodation Friendly staff Excellent breakfast Good value for money Close to good pub (The George and Dragon) with beer garden, friendly owner and good food.
Review 39:The only suggestion I have is that a small sign saying "reception" on the relevant door would make the first few minutes easier.
Review 40:The Flint Barn was wonderful. Extremely friendly and helpful people, wonderful quiet location, great breakfast, terrific clean comfortable room. Everything was good!
Review 41:The Flint Barn is just outside the town but very easily accessible. It is more a case of "staying in Wally's house" rather than a hotel, but all the better for that. Happy to steer me to the best place to watch the horses in training before breakfast.
Review 42:Location a bit out of the way, owners a bit reserved, but the owner's daughter gave us a warm reception.
Review 43:Nice countryside, good rooms, good breakfast. The owners keep a nice horse at the back the barn.
Review 44:everything- not contacted, not responded to , no signs of a b&b
Review 45:nothing- no signs, no response, no andwers at5 door, no welcome, no signs, no B &B!!!!
