Review 1：This was the best hotel and place to stay of our 4 week trip to Europe, the breakfast was unbelievable! Freshly made every morning, great omelettes, fresh orange juice and warm home made pastries. The view from my room was also wonderful over the town and bay, a very relaxing place to stay.

Review 2：My husband did not like the many stairs to the entrance, definitely impossible for very elderly or handicapped.

Review 3：Excellent location,central, hidden, quiet, romantic, overwhelming view over the city to the sea (from room no.2), nice traditional furniture,( not cheap usual hotel style) beautiful small balcony with huge blooming Bougainvillea (on 22nd of December), delicious and rich breakfast on that balcony, very nice authentic owner, helpful to find an equally authentic taverna nearby.

Review 4：in room 4 the WC and shower was dreadful, so narrow and discomforting, with an extra tight shower stand ...with jacuzzi facility...oxymoron! I guess other rooms are better, but I gather since we were Booking.com customers we were given a "poor" room. And this a straightforward complaint to Booking com after sales service!

Review 6：Its a beautiful hotel with a great view in a good location. The rooms are nice, balconies are a great feature and good amenities in the rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 7：There was absolutely nothing negative about our stay. Eventually just the hydro massage shower in our room would benefit from a bit of descaling for the jets to work better.

Review 8：I absolutely loved the large room with lovely decoration and the stunning little balcony with flowers, chairs and table and excellent view. Very nice building kept super clean. Perfect location closed to centre but away from noisy roads. Very nice breakfast and extremely kind staff. We had great advise about restaurants. Private parking. We travel with our baby son and they gave us the easiest room to get to and a cot for the baby. Great value for money.

Review 18：The Ilion Hotel is a small and very private hotel which is a short walk to the main centre of the town. The hotel is within the expansive grounds of the old walled town. Our host helped us out with an issue that we had where we needed some laundry done. WiFi was a very fast 3 Mbs. The our room had a view overlooking the town and across the gulf. Our room was very comfortable, clean and very quiet. We loved the funky shower and good water pressure. Breakfast was typical of what we have experienced in Greece except that the orange juice was freshly squeezed on demand and our host made a wonderful cappuccino, all of which were included in our breakfast. Loved the balcony and the fly screen on the door which allowed us to access the breeze without the bugs. The air conditioning was excellent for a good night sleep on a hot evening. Wonderful value for money.

Review 21：The buildings directly in front are disused and shabby so were off-putting but the hotel is lovely. 'Warmer' lighting, such as that in the bedrooms, would be more welcoming in the main cafe.

Review 22：The hosts were really attentive and put a lot of thought into every aspect of their business. They made cappuccinos or latte coffees in the morning. Breakfast on the balcony was lovely. The building had character and its own parking.

Review 23：Excellent value for money. Our balcony was lovely, draped with a canopy of bougainvillea. The breakfast we were served would have fed us for a week! The hotel makes a great stopover and gave us opportunity to get exercise walking up to the castle! We needed this after the breakfast!

Review 26：We needed an early breakfast and were told it was possible but it might not have fresh bread. When we went down to breakfast (half an hour early) everything was there including freshly baked croissants. We needed assistance with bus information and this was readily researched and given.

Review 63：When arriving by car there seem to be two hotels because there are two signs. They appeared to be "Ilion" and "Halon". When following these signs a parking for Halon was found. Ilion was not on the signs, so we thought it would be further up the road. This is however a very narrow and steepy road which is hard to drive by car. In the end, the hotel did not appear to be up there. Apparently Halon is Greek for Ilion. This could be indicated better to prevent stress from driving your car up medieval roads.
