Review 1：no staff upon arrival and details of room in window of office so a little DIY and location of the property is on the newer side of the village so a little walk around the harbour to the older and more established tavernas

Review 10：We had booked a studio and a 2-bedroom apartment. When we got to the hotel, they had 2 studios waiting for us. They offered to give us breakfast or reimbursement as compensation but not better rooms. After complaining we got a third room at the neighbouring hotel. One of the studios (next to the pool) had a bad smell, strongest in the kitchenette area. Service at the pool bar was slow. At checkout we were at first given the wrong price and after we showed our booking confirmation we were scolded for making changes to the booking! The last changes were made at least a month prior to our stay.

Review 11：The location was ok, 2 supermarkets nearby, walking distance to the main beaches. The view of the mountains was nice (don't expect to have a sea view, only a few rooms will have that)

Review 14：Bali is very spread out and these appartments seemed some of the furthest from the beach, also only close to one small supermarket and a few restaurants/bars so you had to walk for a bit to get more choice.

Review 16：This two bed apartment has one bedroom with two hard beds. The other bedroom is the kitchen dining area which has a very poorly equipped kitchen, a table and three chairs, an ancient tiny wall mounted TV and two single uncomfortable beds. The air conditioner unit blows hot air onto the balcony which limited our use of the balcony.

For people with children there are may be to much mountains, sometimes it was hard to bring a stroller through mountains and stairs. Very many Russians :-)

Review 51：1. Beds are squeaky, its ribs are not fixed so the mattress always falls down throught them 2. Bathroom is very small, shower is 60 cm x 60 cm, lavatory pan is very close to the shower so when you take shower all the room and everything in it becomes wet. Bad smell always goes out of the water discharge whole There is no hair fan and no electric socket in the bathroom It would be very good to fix mosquito screen in the bathroom window. 3.Air condition is fixed on the wall very close to beds and blows directly to the beds. It is very dangerous to your health. 4. Towels looked very washed off and not very attractive to the end of tourist season

Review 55：The Elpis hotel was a very good place to stay. The stuff was very friendly. The room was hudge, very clean and a great value for money. I didn't enjoy Bali as was too touristy and crowded, however, the hotel was really good.

The kitcen area was big enough for us to make breakfast and drinks. I would recommend these apartments as they are close to beach, shops and restaurants. Great holiday

Review 61：We have stayed at Elpis, Bali on several occasions over the past 6 years and enjoyed every visit. It's located just a few minutes walk from Varkotopos beach, has five tavernas and two mini-markets almost 'on the doorstep'. Other parts of the village are easily reached within a few minutes walking. There is a small pool, pool-bar and sunbathing area at the back of the property. The Elpis car rental service (which we have never used) is reputed to be one of the best for value in the village. Dimitris and Poppy are first class hosts and do everything they can to make a stay at the Elpis comfortable and enjoyable.

Review 62：All the many stairs we did not like.And the beds were no good.Outside the hotel was not very clean!Especially on the parking place , which was very dirty.The door to the bathroom could not close.

Review 67：I just stayed 1 week at Elpis Apartments and I already miss it. It is a fantastic place. Poppy and Dimitris make you feel very much welcome and they helped me very much. Also Nikos make me feel that I was welcome at the pool. The Elpis Apartments are very good. I have a very nice and big room, and a nice balcony with a fantastic view on the mountains.And they come and clean the room every day. It is close to the beach and the supermarket and still you are close to the nature, which was important for me, because I want a peacefull place to relax. And still it is not far to walk to the little harbour with many restaurants. Bali is a beautiful place and I cant wait to come back. Hanne from Denmark
