Reviews for The Boot and Shoe

Review 1:No cooked breakfast, only cereal and toast offered....no meal at teatime offered when arrived after travelling all day. A lot of noise downstairs till the bar closed at 1am...

Review 2:Cheap.

Review 3:Locked and/or propped open fire doors. Karaoke so loud I could not hear the TV in my room unless it was turned up to max volume. Laughable breakfast of a white sliced loaf and a packet of crumpets just left on a shelf in the pub bar. All the cleaning materials and rubbish bags left about in the eating area

Review 4:City centre location

Review 5:Everything! The whole place was filthy! 1 light out of six worked in the bedroom... no channels on the TV... toiletries (barely!) for one... towels for one which were fit to be re-cycled into dusters! The wallpaper was ripped & the carpet was disgusting!! Breakfast was a half loaf of bread, un-cooked crumpets, a tub of butter & an unplugged toaster on a bar stool. The cleaner who was mopping with bleach around us, told us to help ourselves and offered us tea/coffee/fruit juice. When I asked if that was 'the breakfast' she told me it was 'continental'! I asked to see the manager but I was told she wouldn't be woken until 9.15 with a coffee!! Our complaints were passed on but she never appeared....We were given £15 refund by the cleaner!! Do not stay here!!!

Review 6:When we left!!!!

Review 7:Very noisy in the pub downstairs. Cleaners in the morning also very noisy playing loud music in the pub VERY early. Only accept cash.

Review 8:Good value, and generrally fine providing you are not planning on hanging around in the accommodation.

Review 9:Room was above main bar with karaoke on till midnight! Was rough and ready room . Staff welcome good but was disturbed in morning by a different staff member who entered room without knocking! Breakfast only continental and did not look well presented so we didn't have it! Will not stay again! Was informed that to be refurbished but still wouldn't stay if it was!

Review 10:The bedroom window that did not shut, the cold shower, the filthy carpets, the damaged furniture, the disgusting spoon and breakfast consisting of a toaster perched on a stool.

Review 11:The lady who apologised for all the problems. She seemed genuinely upset about the filthy spoon I was given for breakfast and said she had also pointed out that the window can't be closed. She was willing to speak to the manager about a reduction in the price and even took me outside to show me the way to somewhere I could have breakfast. A nice lady.

Review 12:The bar was full of drunks, no one new how to book people in to therooms, the rooms were scruffy, the disco didn't finish until 12 amso our room was shacking to the thud of the music, and to top it off thewaitress serving us breakfast appeared from the toilets with her gloveson and started to inform us that she had spent all morning cleaning"spew up" from the bogs to take our order, we declined andleft. Please bookings.com look into the lying information provided bythis establishment it is disgusting and miss-leading stay well away"YOU have been WARNED"
