Reviews for Atrium By BridgeStreet

Review 1:Did not like the view (not one) did not like the lay out of room. Could not see TV from bed. Very strong smell of bleach on entering the room. Huge gap at the bottom of the door, had to put towels to stop the draft and block the hole.

Review 2:Good location to centre of Manchester, previous stay we had a better room. With a better view and good general lay out of room.

Review 3:The apartment itself is stylish and brilliantly located for Canal Street and the centre of the city. The staff and atmosphere is very professional and welcoming but also discrete, which I like; in other hotels the lobby can seem hectic, but Atrium has a quiet calm about it.

Review 4:The lift smelled really bad, I know this is a random complaint but it was awful.

Review 5:Went to visit friends, and the facilities, and location was fantastic! Will defiantly stay again.

Review 6:Having a price tag of £2.70 attached to water bottles in the fridge. Bathroom door lock broken. Very limited channels on TV.

Review 7:Spacious accommodation.

Review 8:Excellent location in easy walking distance of cinemas, galleries and museums. The apartment was, as always, immaculate and quiet. The 11am check out time is really helpful.

Review 9:Problems with hot water (sorted with refund however) - fork and dirty tissue behind bed (!) - left item behind (not yet been able to rescue yet - called twice - still awaiting reply).

Review 10:Location ideal - spacious - kitchen facilities good - friendly staff.

Review 11:The room we stayed in was very tired and didn't feel at all homely or comfortable. It had a musty smell

Review 12:Great location, we stayed there for ease to The Palace Theater

Review 13:There is nothing in the small print on the booking form to say we had to leave a £100 deposit . We only came with the cash we needed so we had to get a friend to travel to Manchester to loan us the deposit It ruined the beginning of our Xmas party

Review 14:The. staff are very helpful and the hotel is in a good location .

Review 15:Small point and not very important but microwave cooker would be helpful

Review 16:My mum and I have been supporting my brother who is very, very ill in hospital. The staff at The Atrium, Manchester have been exemplary in their helpfulness and kindness towards us during this awful time.

Review 17:No washing machine, all apartment should have one Single glazed Windows which was terrible considering the noise outside at night No fresh towels for a week nor any cleaning, removing rubbish or fresh toiletries

Review 18:Good size apartments Clean Central location

Review 19:A fire drill went off at 9 am and for roughly 30 seconds and off again - not sure of the reason behind it whether it was a test but no-one at reception apologised for the inconvenience of it.

Review 20:The studio apartment was clean and had everything we needed.

Review 21:Furniture, fittings and kitchen supplies were average. Fine for short term stays.

Review 22:Great location. Close to station and canal street which was great for restaurants and bars.

Review 23:Parking nearby is in NCP car park and very expensive. £20 for 24 hours.

Review 24:Excellent location, directly across from Canal Street and close to pubs, restaurants etc. Comfortable bed, good facilities and very clean. Friendly staff.

Review 25:- very loud from the street even if you are under the roof - window does not close properly

Review 26:+ located right in the city centre + well equipped kitchen + quite a lot of space

Review 27:Toaster hadn't been checked and the element, which was in a bad condition, fused.

Review 28:Large, comfortable appartment within easy reach of the city centre and easy to get to by car. You could stop outside to register and unload but parking was in an NCP multistory next door and not cheap.

Review 29:The apartment is big and the facilities in it are just fabulous. It's definitely good for a long stay as they provide complimentary laundry facility. It's near to the train stations and walking to town is not far too.

Review 30:Bit difficult to find my way round at first, not had that problem in a hotel before. Some of the communal areas aren't as nice as others, some shabby carpets on the stairs. The lift wasn't working.

Review 31:Excellent location, right by canal street. Great views. Nice size apartment, comfy bed, everything you need in the kitchen, nice TV, nice bathroom, load of storage space. Iron and ironing board in the apartment was good.

Review 32:Some decor was a bit tired around the edges

Review 33:We were upgraded from a studio to a 2 bed apartment. Loads of room, comfortable lounge area, well located for Canal St, theatres and Manchester Central.

Review 34:I liked that it was clean and fresh, modern and staff were very polite and helpful, its also accessible for people with disabilities and could accomodate my mobility scooter, i cannot wait to be back in the summer for a longer stay.

Review 35:Too much noise, decor very poor felt like students flat. Poor booking mistake made and staff very unhelpful when i drove 5 hours to get there in the evening. Parking very expensive.

Review 36:Entrance only.

Review 37:not easy to get pram in and out of location as needed assistance everytime from staff with the stairs, flat basic and okay, some very bad stains and marks on the kitchen floor. Very noisy due to location, towels only changed once a week and had to ask for rubbish to be collected and for extra toilet roll

Review 38:great location and staff very friendly at all times,

Review 39:Staff were unhelpful & not polite. bathroom sink blocked. apartment stinked of smoke. hallway smelled of smoke. wifi code is ridiculous. could not get spare towels after porter used ours to fix already blocked sink. non of the doors would close in apartment.

Review 40:Incredibly noisy due to its proximity to busy main road.. Although the windows were double glazed .. It didn't help:(( I think choosing a higher floor than level 4 would maybe help a little!

Review 41:Location within the city centre ..fantastic,as walking distance to everywhere central Manchester has to offer! staff very pleasant and accommodating

Review 42:The slowest lifts I have encountered.

Review 43:Helpful staff, walking distance to most locations and comfortable. Upgraded to larger unit when sofa bed option was not available for my daughter. Counter and other service staff could not have done more.

Review 44:Was on expensive side. I think that £75-80 per night would be more fair. Maybe it was the time of year

Review 45:The space as the superior studio flat was spacious and had all the facilities Is very close to city centre

Review 46:The only thing I have to say bad about the apartment was that it was quite noisy at night as the roads are busy and people coming back from the clubs also there was only enough hot water for one shower but overall really nice

Review 47:The apartment was very clean and the staff were very friendly, we tried something different from an hotel and it was really comfortable and spacious and you even get free wifi!

Review 48:Perfect apartment with all you would need. Nice and spacious and modern. Have stayed here several times and has always been excellent. Would definitely recommend

Review 49:overpriced, dated fitting and furniture (battered in some parts). would rather stay in ancoats travelodge and thats saying something. just felt massively ripped off.

Review 50:Location at best

Review 51:If i'm going to be critical the studio we stayed in, although cleanand tidy, is probably ready for a makeover as there we're noticeablemarks on the carpet and walls and most edges at floor level had scuffmarks and with the money you pay you'd maybe expect a slightlyhigher standard of finish.

Review 52:The studio apt we stayed in was very spacious with everything you'dneed for a short or long break. It was also next to a busy street ofpubs/nightclubs but there was no noise and we got a peaceful nightssleep. We chose this location as it was near to the Palace theatre andthe Comedy club but even the attractions of Deansgate or the shoppingcentre was within easy walking distance. All in all an attractive placeto stay with friendly helpful staff.

Review 53:Outside noise was an issue on Saturday night especially. Bedroom in apartment a bit cramped when using the twin bed configuration.

Review 54:Central and within easy walking distance of Piccadilly. Comfortable, clean and warm. Would happily come back again.

Review 55:The apartment I booked was very cramped, but the staff let us move into a studio which was fantastic.

Review 56:The staff, the studio apartment and the area was first class. Thank you all.

Review 57:No instructions re how cooker worked and poor connection on TV channels . We were on the ground floor and could hear noise in the street.

Review 58:Good and clean in excellent location to Palace theare

Review 59:We arrived a day later than expected, we agreed in email that we are charged for first 3 nights before arrival and they did that. We suggested to pay the rest upon arrival and manager charged us for one extra night at that moment, he explained that in the system it made our total sum complete. But, the next day another manager checked our records and made a refund for that extra night without any problems upon our request. A little inconvenience, but it resolved nicely. Another minor inconvenience was that access cards sometimes stopped working and we had to renew them at the reception. But, they provided a separate key for each of us, that was good.

Review 60:Everybody very welcoming! Great location - easy access to transport, 24-hour Spar shop one block away and, most important, museums and venues we visited were all a short walk from the apartments. City council few blocks away. Factory club nearby! Very beautiful building. Safe area, although it's a bit funny around due to gay quarter and clubs around. We liked that.

Review 61:We were greeted with a smile and friendly staff. We were upgraded to an executive suite, the suite was huge. It was modern and fully kitted out, most of all it was very clean. We had to open the windows in the morning as the room got too warm with the wall heaters, temperature no:20 is warm enough from experience :-) we will definitely be back. The Apartments are close to China town & portland street. It cost us £6 each way to get to the O2 Apollo.just a 5 minute walk to the Xmas markets.

Review 62:Our room was very, very hot. We switched all radiators off at the wall on arrival but made no difference, barely slept. Couldn't see any other means of heating to turn down and no way we were opening windows on a Saturday night opposite canal street!! Therefore overall 'comfort' of stay was poor and wouldn't stay again.

Review 63:Compared to the price of everywhere else, in December, this was very cheap. Plenty of space, not used to it's potential in one night would be great for a weekend.

Review 64:The room I had was facing out towards the main road, which was very noisy. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Mattresses felt very cheap with topper provided not giving any real comfort. Pillows were rock solid.

Review 65:Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Actual layout of apartment was really good, with everything you would expect from such accommodation.

Review 66:Noise from door outside apartment in corridor. Easily rectified by installing door between hall and open lounge/bedroom area

Review 67:Excellent location. Facilities/cleaniness very good

Review 68:Noise levels all through the night, music blaring from another room at 5.30 in the morning.

Review 69:Friendly staff at reception. Nice clean spacious room. Excellent value for money.

Review 70:The staff very helpful. Put up travel cot straight away even though website said not available to add. When went to buy snacks the front of house offered umbrella to go shop around corner. On the whole very good value will be visiting again.very spacious and every essential included in the appartment

Review 71:View from my room was of an open multi-storey car park - but as I was only there for 1 night, this didn't detract too much from an overall good experience.

Review 72:Friendly and polite at reception and was upgraded to a studio +.

Review 73:Quite a draught from living area window. Secondary glazing in bedroom though and the heaters are great.

Review 74:Really close to centre and the car park we'd booked. Comfy bed and lovely and clean

Review 75:broken cupboard door in the kitchen and the bathroom could have done with a bit of a deep clean.

Review 76:location, staff and the size of the apartment was fantastic

Review 77:At 9.45am my shower could only deliver cold water. The room temperature was difficult to control - either too hot or too cold. Have stayed here before but, rather than risk another cold shower, I am likely to move somewhere else for my next trip to Manchester.

Review 78:Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is adequately equipped. Re cold show problem I was offered 10% reduction (inadequate) and later a free night for my next visit which I am unlikely to take up,

Review 79:Need their own onsite parking as the car park behind the apartments charge £20 a night. Also need a dedicated smoking area as all rooms are non smoking

Review 80:Top location everything was just around the corner

Review 81:Liked everything

Review 82:It was well located but very quiets down so warm!. The design and decor were perfect. The apartment was spacious and had all we required for a very pleasant weekend

Review 83:Nothing to report

Review 84:The property was very convenient for me, I had all the facilities I needed, kitchen, laundry, plus space and location. I would definitely use Atrium again.

Review 85:Everything was excellent ..girls on the desk at the front were lovely...apartment was lovely...warm and spotless...5 mins walk form the train station...will definitely be back...thank you..!

Review 86:The staff were not warm or friendly, our apartment windows were on the main road. Just a very noisy night. With cars and club revellers driving and walking past.

Review 87:The apartment was clean and offered all the essentials.

Review 88:The appartment was excellently equipped and very comfortable. It was great to have somewhere to relax. On the first evening just picked a ready meal and stayed in. Lots of interesting restaurants for the rest of our stay.

Review 89:In our apartment it was a small inconvenience that you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other.

Review 90:Location and staff were both brill and was a lovely apartment.

Review 91:We were upgraded to the executive suite upon arrival which was great seeing as we were there for a birthday trip! Absolutely amazing room and the location was perfect for us

Review 92:settees very worn and uncomfortable. Pillows and mattress very hard. Sink in bathroom needed cleaning full of hair and old soap. Apartment needs upgrading

Review 93:can make a meal. Had all you would require if you were at home. five minutes away from the centre.

Review 94:The first apartment we were allocated was small for a one bedroom apartment. As this is our seventh stay at the atrium, we found it a little annoying that every time we stay our apartment gets a little smaller

Review 95:The atrium is central and within walking distance of all amenities. It is more appealing to us than a hotel room

Review 96:One downside is the windows aren't great and depending on your room location you get a lot of noise from outside. We had a low floor and were right opposite a pub/club so got a lot of drunken noise overnight.

Review 97:Love this place, very friendly staff, great location, very clean.

Review 98:You have to pay for the Wifi if you stay for less than 7 nights and it could be considered a tad expensive.

Review 99:This was my home away from home while on a business trip to Manchester. It's a beautiful, fully equiped appartment with a big living room ( nice TV, big desk perfect for working, comfortable couch), fully equiped kitchen (fridge, diswasher, toaster, hot plate), clean and modern bathroom and the bedrrom had a big, comfortable bed..what can I say, it was perfect. Also, location was very good for me near the Train station as I had to commute to another nearby city where the office was, and also Manchester is not that big and I quite enjoyed walking towards the center area.

Review 100:The apartment is needing refreshed as it was a bit tired in places considering what we paid for it. Could do with some refurbishment however it was fine for what we needed it for

Review 101:Good location, clean and staff were very helpful.

Review 102:Some of the decoration in the room/bathroom is looking a little tired and in need of basic repair.

Review 103:Location, friendliness of the staff, comfort of the room

Review 104:The apartment was a little walk from the main areas but it kept us fit 20 mins and we saw the sights. It was also overlooking the canal which was lovely.

Review 105:You had to pay for WIFi. Safe jammed so we could not use it to store valuables.

Review 106:Large rooms and the breakfast pack that could be purchased was very good.

Review 107:Nice touch would of been free water in fridge and more tea, coffee, milk (only two sachets of each). Fresh towels on second day would of been good as well.

Review 108:Location

Review 109:'Don't like' is too, too, strong; but, the promised hour per week clean did not happen and bedding was not changed; I had to ask for rubbish to be removed and at this point towels were changed; the furnishings et al are tired - an up-grade is needed to keep standards high (e.g. kitchen appliances & decor - music station instead of a tape deck...); one felt at home, not 'special'. Extra training re: customer service could be helpful, in some cases, which would add to guest experience.

Review 110:The location is very good and its access to many areas of the city convenient; the entrance is impressive; the 24 hr access is very good and easy; the apartment is spacious, generously planned and has most things one needs for a short stay; although in the city centre, it is very quiet; importantly, one felt at 'home'. Most of the staff (and particularly) the management are approachable, friendly and attentive - with the customer service v independent guest balance, just right. I would stay again.

Review 111:Badly in need of refurbishing. Also needs double glazing to cut traffic noise - currently none in lounge and only secondary in bedroom. Didn't like no rubbish emptied on clean towels even if there a week.

Review 112:Staff excellent really friendly - booked a room with twin beds but arrived to find a double. Sorted out quickly and moved us to a much better and bigger apartment

Review 113:I didn't like that I had to wait until 3pm to check in or the fact I had to leave a extra £100 deposit on the room that I knew nothing about!!

Review 114:I like the whole apartment was beautiful and how close it was to facilities we used

Review 115:Spacious and comfortable appartment. Kitchen equipment was in exceptionally good condition. Comfortable bedroom with a second television. Wifi was very reliable.

Review 116:Wi-fi charge was the main downside, though I would have liked a plug for the bathroom sink, and the view overlooking a car park was less than scenic!

Review 117:Very nice apartment - much more spacious than a hotel room for the price. Clean, modern, well appointed.

Review 118:There wasn't anything!!

Review 119:Location was brilliant very central loads of parking all around and a few minutes walk from main area. We only stayed for one night but perfect for us.

Review 120:Location for shopping was not the best, especially in bad weather. The corridor of our floor smelled of cooking food coming from one of the rooms which also spread into our room, staff unhelpful would not move us. Certainly not value for money

Review 121:No check in till 3pm even though my flight was at 7am and was hanging for sleep, as it was a sat I arrived of a bank holiday found it very strange that my room would not be ready till 3 even though on my check out I had to be out by 11

Review 122:dirty carpet, chewing gum on rug, old TV with bad signal, hard mattress

Review 123:dish washer, able to cook our own food, good shower facilities, amazing location in the city centre, big fridge,

Review 124:leak from boiler in kitchen

Review 125:Great and pretty location. Apartment was spotless and had everything we needed to make it a great and easy stay. Right on the road but still slept fine with double insulated windows

Review 126:there wasn't anything bad. only thing was the noise on the street as we were at the front but being a bank holiday weekend this was something to be expected. Not something the Atrium could control !!!

Review 127:The Atrium was a fabulous location for our weekend. it was easy to access and close to all the facilities that we needed. our purpose was for Manchester Pride weekend so therefore was easy to pop in and out of the venue when we liked. we had a 1 bed apartment which was great for space. there was tea, milk coffee ,toiletries etc to use which was useful. Comfortable rooms and loads of storage space. Used the cooking facilities . Staff were in the background there when you needed them . felt safe being there. Nice to have somewhere to relax and feel at home. will definitely use again.

Review 128:I booked the atrium at last minute for pride and was shocked at the price for 2 night. But in a good way it was so reasonable and the location was amazing right across from canal Street and are 1 bed apartment overlooked all the night life me and my partner will Deffo stay here again for next year's pride and I like the fact we could have friends over it really was like a home from home

Review 129:Fantastic choice if you're looking for a place to stay in Manchester city centre. It was very central, secure and comfortable. I actually thought we were booking a studio but we ended up staying in a spacious 1-bedroom apartment. The staff were very friendly and the apartment was very clean and warm with lots of amenities. My only quibble is that you have to pay £6 per 24 hours wifi. That was a little steep and most accommodation has free wifi. But otherwise, it's a strong recommendatiin.

Review 130:After many years of using conventional hotels, we broke with tradition and opted for a self catering apartment. The reason was that we needed accommodation close to a particular venue so opted for the Atrium. Thinking it was only to be one night we'd take pot luck and book, we found it to a most rewarding experience. The room was exceptionally well appointed, everything you could need, clean as a whistle and staff very friendly and efficient. Much better than a hotel and much more space, a fully fitted kitchen/dining area, lounge with a large sofa to sit and relax and a very large and comfortable bed. We have decided that with this level of comfort and convenience then an apartment will be a part of all our future plans
