Reviews for Rosery Country House Hotel
Review 1:The over riding issue was that the whole place was cold. My stay coincided with the two coldest nights in a long long time, below zero, and the heating system was found sadly lacking. My room was cold, the radiators no more than luke warm. Interestingly the towel rail in the bathroom was hot, the bathroom having been refurbished in the last year or two. Having shivered my way through dinner on both evenings I resorted to asking for a fan heater for my room on the second night. Something needs doing with the heating system because it really was uncomfortable.
Review 2:The hotel was very convenient for where I needed to be. The bed was comfortable, bathroom perfectly acceptable, good shower and plenty of hot water. The staff were all very pleasant but like me suffering from the cold. The evening meals perfectly acceptable and well priced and breakfast was good.
Review 3:We arrived late but this was accommodated without fuss. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options for different tastes and the room was warm and comfortable.
Review 4:Nothing
Review 5:Very friendly helpful staff, the owner offered us an additional room free off charge because there was 3 of us sharing, with one of us on sofa bed, but we declined as we were happy with our room
Review 6:We're not encouraged to eat in so went out to return before 10pm to find the bar & restaurant all locked up for the night, so no night cap!
Review 7:We liked the quirkyness of the Garden room, and the enormous wet room.
Review 8:A fridge was placed into room as requested. Travelling with a young child, travel cot placed into room. Lovely and helpful. Breakfast served at a good time and delicious. Room was lovely and warm. Great stay!
Review 9:There was nothing that we were not happy with.
Review 10:The Rosery Country House hotel is in a lovely position. We found it ideal for touring the local area. With a good sized room, great service and a tasty menu helped to make our stay very enjoyable.
Review 11:We were in Garden Room 1. It was spacious, with plenty of room for the cot we needed for our little boy, and the wet room was positively cavernous. It's obviously a room which is multi-use for families or disabled guests and I would say is perfect for both - not to mention it opens right onto a very pleasant garden, with seats outside for good weather, and is located right next to the car park. The Wi-Fi is reasonable speed and is actually free, not paid.
Review 12:Dust on bed head -got it in my hair and so cleaned bed head myself. Bed bit lumpy, maybe needs bit of updating/ new mattresses
Review 13:Location good and did have character. Owner and staff very nice
Review 14:Should have provided hair conditioner as well as shampoo. Arrived back before midnight on Saturday night and staff had all gone home, so no late night facilities available.

Review 100:Superb room and bathroom and lovely homely breakfast. Newmarket hotels eat your hear out. This is by far the best value.
Review 101:Fantastic stay, excellent garden room perfect size with 2 young children, decent meals very friendly and helpful staff. Thanks for returning our forgotten toy!!!
Review 102:Mattress needs replacing in garden room 2, you feel the springs. Check out time of 10am too early. Hotel could do with some updating but it was a pleasant experience.
Review 103:Beautiful gardens, garden rooms were private and out of the way. Bathroom was enormous! Breakfast was yummy.
Review 104:Stella and Carlsberg lager
Review 105:had a good nights sleep . There were no doors banging or people making a noise in the early hours. Will stay again next year
Review 106:It is rather impersonal. The bar/reception and dining room and other downstairs public rooms are in need of refurbishment. We did not find it a particularly welcoming hotel and consequently we will not stay again. It was very quiet with no atmosphere and felt more like a sprawling B &B rather than. a hotel. New photos need taking of the outside. It is pink, not white! Overall, rather disappointed.
Review 107:The garden is lovely. The rooms are spacious. The beds were comfortable with nice bed linen. The breakfast was good.
Review 108:There was no way to turn the radiator off in our room which meant it was rather hot. Staff told us they had a problem with the heating system thermostat at the time of our stay. At least we could open the windows wide which in some hotels you can't. Pillows were too hard for our liking. We would suggest maybe having hard and soft pillows available to suit different people.
Review 109:Very nice hotel with attractive garden area. Good large room. Nice food. Would stay here again and have recommended to our daughter.
Review 110:The Garden Rooms were lovely. Church bells on a Wednesday, a beautiful garden to wake up to. Meals were lovely, friendly staff, and the owner very good in helping and making sure you felt looked after.
Review 111:That we could not of stayed a third night due to work commitments :(
Review 112:Everything was faultless, staff excellent & friendly. Food great, room amazingly clean and spacious. We had the most relaxed stay & will definitely be returning.
