Reviews for Résidence Pyrénées Zenith

Review 1:Pyrenees Zenith advertises itself as a hotel. It is not a hotel, there is no service, you have to pay extra for bedding, for towels, for wifi, you have to make the beds yourself and clean it afterwards. There was a sofa bed and a bunk bed in an alcove off the corridor. We had to collect room details within a specified time and went to wait for check out (except they were late so we had to leave) Very disappointing as regards Booking.com for allowing it to advertise as a hotel. Ended up more expensive than a good hotel in the centre of Luz St Sauveur.

Review 2:Bath as well as shower

Review 3:We requested ground floor apartments when we booked. We didn't find out until we arrived that our request was not granted. We have elderly dogs who did not manage the stairs resulting in us having to carry them up and down which was not easy. We have a large German Shepherd who we could not carry and he badly cut his paw on the stairs. There was an uncovered manhole in the garden which one of our party fell down and hurt their ankle. The apartments were in a very bad state of repair and not very clean. The beds were uncomfortable.

Review 4:The price did not include the bed sheets, so we had to pay extra to use them for each person. Most of the places from this type should include them

Review 5:The place has an excellent view straight to the mountains. An unforgetable place where everithing was very clean.

Review 6:My only complaint is that the so called "Final price" was not. Once I had clicked on "reserve" it then informed me there was a 15% surcharge payable on arrival. Dishonest.

Review 7:Comfortable and well situated

Review 8:Complicate access if you have no idea how to reach the place or travelling without GPS. Small bedroom The main door was directly a cristal door with curtains like the one I have at home to get into the terrace. The appartment was at the same level of the street, and I felt pretty scared all nights because anyone can break the cristal door and get into the appartment without further difficulty. I didn´t feel much safe there inside (I was travelling alone, so if travelling with someone, I guess you would feel safer). Broken WC and dropping water all night. It was rather diffcult to fall asleep. You have none to contact in reception during the weekend. Poor wifi. You need a username and password for each gadget you have (one for the mobile, another for the PC,...)

Review 9:Complete kitchen and perfect location if you are travelling looking for ski or climbing the Tourmalet or Luz Ardiden

Review 10:Locating the place is very hard. Neither of our GPS apps located it, and local people had no idea, as it is accessed through a back alley. We came as a family with 3 children, hoping for a nice place and planning to cook in the kitchen. the room had proved to be unclean, full of spider webs on the ceilings and the kitchen was terrible. It was by far the worst place in the trip to the Pyrenees.

Review 11:Basic accommodation suitable for cycling/walking holiday. Staff in the office, where you check in was very helpful. Internet costs only 1 EUR/per user during your stay and is OK. Close to the restaurants and supermarket.

Review 12:Comfortable place to stay, great location and good value for money.

Review 13:manque de fenêtres donc de lumière du jour

Review 14:Le cadre, le calme, la proximité des commerces

Review 15:Extra charge for sheets/towels Extra charge for cleaning after stay

Review 16:Lovely location in the Pyrenees, with a nice outdoor pool.

Review 17:no sheets or pillowcases, no double bed, had to go back to the office to get wifi access and then could only use one device.

Review 18:price

Review 19:Access with lougadge. Smell in the room. No toilet paper, no soap. The MasterCard machine did not work in the facility so we had to travel to the city nearby.

Review 20:Having to go to agent without knowing before arrival, climbing several flights of stairs, no lift facilities. Lacking kettle and decent cups for hot drinks, basic equipment missing eg wooden spoons, board to cut bread etc on, inventory did not match what was actually in apt, did advise rep as best as could.

Review 21:Location central to town. Good storage for clothes etc

Review 22:This venue was awful, and they and booking.com really need to get his feedback. They need to add their compulsory 11euro cleaning cost onto their rate. Their free wifi is not free. Their pillows are old and lumpy. Their double bed is actually a couch with another single roll out stashed under it. It needs to be more upfront that they do not provide sheets or towels, or better still include them in the cost and add the 5euros on and make it an optional discount not to have them. Luckily we had sleeping bags. The 200euro bond required is to be seen nowhere until you have actually booked and got confirmation then it is too late to cancel as there is a 35euro cancellation fee. But the worst thing is how hard it is to find. You have to book into a separate place before going to the accommodation and that place is really hard to find. It is not on the GPS. Having taken so long to find it we found it shut with a map stuck to the door showing the venue. This map was drawn on to show the way, but by drawing on it they have crossed out the street names! So it was illegible. A nice restaurant owner showed us the way and it turns out the map was old and one of the streets no longer exists! Finally we arrived. What a drama!! There were only three cars at this enormous venue. I can see why. I have to say the venue itself was very nice. It is such a shame to have let itself down with these logistics.

Review 23:The place itself would have been gotten a really good rating from me for location and facilities and staff but...if I could I would rate this overall it would be 1/10 it was such a bad experience.

Review 24:Very tired internally. Bathroom awful, kitchen very badly planned. Second bedroom miniscule. We managed but not very good at all. We left 1 day early. We live in France and did not expect perfection at the price but this was poor.

Review 25:Location fine.

Review 26:The studio is in an ugly, badly built, modern block and was quite grubby when we arrived (despite the added 'cleaning fee' everyone has to pay) and the advert really didn't make it clear that there was also an extra charge for linen, and another 'optional' charge of 30 euros if one did not clean when one left. This system clearly doesn't work as the place was decidedly dirty. There were other negative points, such as a very noisy fridge (one sleeps in the same room), due to the freezer door being missing, a blocked sink in the bathroom, and lack of basic kitchen utensils, such as simple things like spatula/wooden spoons/cutting board/sharp knives. The flat is owned privately and then rented through an agency, but clearly no one is properly checking on cleanliness or maintenance. The kitchen space is tiny and badly designed with the electric cooking hob right next to the sink. There is a really high step down into the apartment from the front door for which there is no warning, and is hard to see as it is a dark space (next to which are located the bunk beds - more like a cupboard than a room!), which we tripped on several times (we are fit and young!). The bed in the living room is actually 2 single beds, one a trolley bed rolled out from under the other. You wonder: couldn't the owner invest in a simple sofa bed?! There is no lift, which would have been handy.

Review 27:The studio was in a quiet location at the top of the old village with a lovely view of mountains and village church tower. There was a pool, too. The person at the agency was very decent, and did not charge us the cleaning fee after we complained above the grubbiness of the apartment when we arrived. There is parking right by the apartments, which is handy. The apartment relatively was cheap, but probably for good reason!

Review 28:Some of the beds more comfortable than others but otherwise fine.

Review 29:Very convenient for ski resorts and had everything required for a comfortable few days.

Review 30:Surprise extra charge! We were charged 11 euros more than ourbooking.....for cleaning/hygiene costs. We have booked many timesthrough booking.com around France and Spain and never incurred extracost. We wonder now if that extra 11euros means it was not the best dealon the site at the time.....a bit cheeky!

Review 31:Clean and tidy. Easy check in and out when skiing. Comfortable sleepingarrangements for family of four. Great for one/two night stay butwould book a larger room if staying longer.

Review 32:Bathroom getting a little tired (tiles coming away from the wall) but still clean and tidy.

Review 33:Proximity to sites. Small apartment but was all we needed as a place to sleep. Compact but good use of space. Good to have the convenience of a well equipped kitchen. Quiet and well presented.

Review 34:no one at reception, although arrived about 6.00pm. few residents at this time of year (Oct). charge for cleaning room high, as well as towell/linen charge.

Review 35:location

Review 36:The sofa doubled as a double bed in the living room

Review 37:* Good value for money * Situated in a very beautiful village * Lots of different kitchen supplies

Review 38:Not very clean, very old bathroom and defect, apartment without windowsor ventilation, the swiming pool is really small, they are charging aweekly fee for the apartement cleaning and on a top of that anothercleaning fee when you leave the apartement

Review 39:We rented a studio for 2 nights - very well equipped with everything needed to make meals. Lovely balcony with views of the mountains. Quiet location. Very reasonable price, just what we were looking for.

Review 40:Some of the decor could do with attention, the main area is the bathroom. Some of the tiles need attention, the sink surround was cracked, the bathroom generally needs a revamp, but this should not put any one off. It is a nice place to stay.

Review 41:Very well equipped, and good value

Review 42:Had to find the real estate agency to check in which was only a smalloffice which we drove straight past - our gps did not recognise theaddress. The map given to us to find the hotel was illegible so you hadto remember the directions given by the receptionist. Linen was an extracharge which we were not aware of until we arrived and the linen packwas very basic - the towels were small and thin. The pillows could alsobe replaced as they were very thin.

Review 43:Quiet location, could walk down into the city centre, lovely mountainview - could hear the goats bells chiming as they grazed nearby. Goodsize dining area and balcony. Also has a bathtub as well as a showerwhich is nice to have.

Review 44:We had to pay extra for sheets and towels. The double bed was small andconsisted of 2 single beds pushed together. The mattress was not verycomfortable.

Review 45:We had a lovely view of the valley from the balcony of our room. It wasnice to have a small kitchen so we could cook some of our meals at thecondo. The location was within walking distance of shops and restaurantsin Luz St. Sauveur. Parking is free. We were able to ride our bikes fromthe condo up the Col du Tourmalet!

Review 46:Wifi was only acessible from outside the reception during opening hours.Could not access Wifi as a username and password were required.

Review 47:Location and value for money.

Review 48:Late check in was a problem, arriving after 18:00 requires you to call a number an arrange collection of the keys, etc. A manned reception would be a huge bonus. Also check out is a fixed time, 9:00 - 10:00. Making it more flexible would be more helpful.

Review 49:Excellent location for me, perfect base for cycling the Pyrenees and watching the Tour de France. Fantastic views from the balcony, good facilities, everything worked. Spotlessly clean an the lady from the agency (immo65) was very helpful. 5 minutes walk to the town centre. Perfect if you want simple accommodation in a great location.

Review 50:We stayed in a 'cottage', it had one single toilet downstairs for all ofthe up to 6 ! occupants, although another wc could have been easilyincorporated in the (single washbasin, shower) bathroom on the firstfloor directly above. There was no storage space in upstairs bedroom, just one shelf. Small bedrooms, hardly any space to move around thedouble beds. A very cheap and low-standard facilities and furniture.

Review 51:Location

Review 52:Lots of things: 1. The room, described as a studio which sleeps 4, people was so small you couldn't swing a cat in it. The room and the buildings of the residence were very low grade - like council flats. 2. They did not supply sheets, towels or soap. You had to hire them or bring your own. Nowhere was this indicated in your description of the Residence. 3. The price which you quoted me was €64 including taxes. They charged me €77, asked for a €200 deposit, and told me they would deduct €30 for cleaning - after we had left it spotless. 4. They do not accept credit card changes at the residence - if you want to pay by credit card, you have to walk 10 mins to the Immo 65 office in the centre of town.
