Reviews for Coig na Shee Guest House
Review 1:Loved everything about it.
Review 2:Our hosts were very personable and helpful. A beautiful, comfortable and cosy place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Review 3:Nothing to fault, excellent in every way. The owners couldn't be more accommodating. Breakfast couldn't be better. Far and away the best place we stayed in out of the four (Edinburgh, London and Singapore) during our 4 week holiday.
Review 4:Beautiful bedroom and bathroom, luxurious and elegant yet homely and cozy. Wanted to stay forever! Great breakfast and the proprietor gave lots of great tips for exploring the local area
Review 5:Nothing at all.
Review 6:The House was very spacious and warm, as was the welcome. The room itself was luxurious - we had everything we needed. It was nice to have the option of a wonderful free standing bath as well as a great shower. Breakfast was very good.
Review 7:That I had to leave :-( The place was perfect.
Review 8:The room was a great size, very comfortable bed and the room and ensuite were warm, very clean and cleaned everyday. The breakfasts were varied and very delicious. Marion & Graham were great company and full of local knowledge.
Review 9:The bedroom and bathroom were very small. But we did have the smallest and I guess the cheapest room in the house, and it was all very comfortable and immaculately clean.
Review 10:The owners of the B&B were lovely and so helpful. We were running late for our dinner reservations, and the owner offered to drive us to the restaurant to save us walking 15 minutes, which was so kind. We mentioned to the owner that we hadn't seen any Highland Cattle on the trip. She kindly directed us to where we could find some, and luckily they were there! The breakfast was also delicious and great quality, with a wide choice. The products and coffee facilities in the bedroom were also very good quality.
Review 11:Nothing to dislike with this guest house.
Review 12:Beautiful house, very clean. Very warm welcome from the owners, they made sure that we enjoyed our stay. The room (The Firs), was huge and the bathroom had bath and walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable. Wi-Fi signal was excellent. Outside the room there were lots of DVDs and a large variety of books, all available to watch and read. There was even a driving map in the drawer. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. The porridge was the best I've had in years. We would recommend to anyone, and we will definitely be back next year.
Review 13:Breakfast was lovely, the room was spotlessly clean and really comfortable with fresh coffee and a fantastic selection of teas provided. The owners were kind and helpful.
Review 14:Bathroom sink a bit small and had difficulty shaving but that's a very minor thing and should not detract from an overall lovely b&b
Review 15:Lovely location and quiet very accommodating with early breakfast provided. Very nice room and good wifi. I would certainly stay again and very handy for the A9 North or South
Review 16:Would have happily stayed for longer
Review 17:Lovely spacious room and ensuite - the best breakfast ever ! Our hosts were so friendly and helpful - we would definitely go back
Review 18:Taking my shoes off - it just seemed weird everyone walking round in stockinged feet!
Review 19:The relaxed atmosphere and the warm welcome that made you feel nothing was too much trouble.
Review 20:Nothing to complain about whatsoever.
Review 21:Warm and welcoming owners, who were also very informative about local area. High standard of decoration. Huge and very clean bathroom (with separate shower too). Excellent breakfasts.
Review 22:They took the money before telling us the petty rules, then said it would cost at least £1.00 to cancel the booking. No outdoor shoes in the house. No peanuts in the house, even though there were plenty in the breakfast cereals. The en-suite was so small you could not dry yourself in it after a shower. Hardly any room down r.h.s. of bed. Breakfast very disappointing.
Review 23:Location.
Review 24:Very nice house in very nice town, we liked Coig na Shee and the whole Newtonmore. Comfortable clean room, nice beds, welcoming owners, great breakfast.

Review 29:The guest house was so homely. It was extremely clean and definitely well looked after. We had a very comfortable double bed and an undisturbed sleep. The owners could not have been more welcoming and provided a delicious cooked breakfast which we ordered the night before. I couldn't recommend this guest house enough! Would definitely return.

Review 31:Coig na Shee Guest House was a quiet hotel in beautiful surroundings. We were warmly greeted by the hosts and looked after very well. The room was spotlessly clean, with tea, coffee, biscuits and water provided. We had a lovely breakfast to set us off on our motorbike ride to the highlands of Scotland. Highly recommend.
Review 32:Lovely room in a lovely guesthouse. Beautifully decorated rooms which were very comfortable. Little details were appreciated by us (selection of teas, hot chocolate, biscuits in the room) as well as the nice toiletries. Coig na Shee had the best breakfast of all the places we stayed in Scotland - excellent cooked breakfasts, as well as a buffet and the only place with fresh fruit and yoghurt.
Review 33:We arrived earlier than anticipated but were received regardless which was very helpful. We stayed two nights and found the house very comfortable. The updated interior had a modern country look and gthe room was light and airy. The amentities were excellent and the shower was particularly good. A very good Scottish breakfast was served each day. The location was excellent for touring the Speyside and Badenoch areas and was also very quiet. There were a few areas in the house to relax, including a reading nook on the second floor. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely place to stay.
Review 34:We can not recommend this B&B enough. The room while small is well kept and comfortable. The breakfast well prepared and ample. The village of Newtonmore is quaint and great excess to national park.
