Reviews for The Ashley
Review 1:Parking an be a challenge, had to park some 200m away first night. Freeview TV reception not too good - freezing at times
Review 2:Great view from bedroom. Comfortable bed.
Review 3:A fault we found was that the bacon with the full English breakfast was rock hard and not very appetising and difficult to cut. Maybe a little less oil should be used when cooking the meal
Review 4:Clean and bright room/en-suite.5-10 minute walk to shops
Review 5:The view is so beautiful. I watched the sunset over the lake district hills from my room. Also, the attention to detail in the room makes it very comfortable.
Review 6:The weather which was cold and windy. The satellite TV signal kept going down.
Review 7:The guest house wad immaculate. The location was near the town, bus stops and the sea front.
Review 8:Very helpful owner, excellent customer service . Comfortable room and bed with lovely view over the Bay. Modern bathroom and good shower. Very impressed all round
Review 9:Just need to be careful of the breakfast times if you want a cooked breakfast as no one from hotel around between 8.15-9.15! Knew times different from weekends but didn't realise how different! Check the board!
Review 10:Very nice room with a lovely view across the bay, beautifully clean and comfortable.
Review 11:The only not likes was the absence of a shower, even though there was a beautiful roll top bath. Also the bed was hard but they are both just personal choice and must not reflect on the B&B. Highly recommended.
Review 12:From walking through the doors it was a lovely experience. The owners are there but not in your face. The room with a sea view was clean and well decorated. There was everything you need. The breakfast was outstanding. My partner needs a gluten free diet and provided for him without any question. She provided all the gluten free food and on booking was very fast to reply to me about providing the food needed.
Review 13:The room I had was extremely small and when I arrived it was freezing cold. I left the heater on low but when I returned after a long day working the next day, the heating had been turned off and the room felt cold and damp. The shower pressure wasn't great and the room looked over a rather bleak carpark area behing the hotel. I would think that larger rooms with a seaview were much nicer. I would stay again, but would not book this particular room.
Review 14:My room was spotlessly clean and, although it was small it had everything I needed. The home cooked breakfast was very nice too.
Review 15:This was booked as a birthday treat by my son who booked and then told us to go, so didnt know what to expect......Very very nice place, good location, relaxing weekend away
Review 16:too many stairs didnt realise ld booked room on 2nd floor, would have liked the owners to have been a bit more friendly, breakfast was served, not sure if the lady was the owner or not the only time she spoke was to ask us what we would like for breakfast,
Review 17:the room had a lovely view,it was very clean and comfortable, very good breakfast,
Review 18:We would have liked to see a bit more of our hosts but they seemed to be very nice. The mattress was a little lumpy bumpy but as we are used to a memory foam at home that may explain it. We still had a pretty good nights sleep.
Review 19:The Ashley was very well placed, absolutly spotless and well decorated. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a lovely bathroom. We had a wonderful view of Morecambe bay and the hills beyond. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent with plenty of choice. I had the homemade pancakes and they were the best I've ever had. Delicious !
Review 20:Single rooms overlooked the car park and were a little dated compared to double room, but were spotlessly clean and had a double bed!
Review 21:Ease of accommodation, felt homely. Helpful and informative staff before and during visit. Good location and excellent views from double room; nicely renovated room.
Review 22:Room was smaller than expected, but still very nice and still comfortable.
Review 23:Room was very clean and well taken care of, staff were very nice and welcoming.
Review 24:I asked for a quiet room (not near banging door, lift or mainroad). We were at the front which had constant traffic, hence not quiet at all until late at night. Lovely view, but we did not ask for view. Just, quiet.
Review 25:Above average decor, supreme In fact for a Northern English town. Absolutely lovely view. Very pleasant greeting. Extremely helpful. Brilliant facilities. Very surprised.
Review 26:nothing to dislike

Review 43:every thing
Review 44:Really lovely room with a sea view. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 45:the shower was small but very clean .
Review 46:the rooms I saw were exceptionally clean ,the bed was comfortable ,my room had all that I needed and the family were helpful on arrival. The hotel was quiet.
Review 47:On arrival we were informed that we did not need to book time and choice of breakfast. However, we learned to our cost that this was very necessary, as we were kept waiting for 50minutes for breakfast, despite ordering at least half an hour before anyone else arrived in the dining room. When we did book - a system to which we have no objections - on a subsequent day, our main course was served before we had finished our cereals. This is not a hotel for families with young children, they did not have high chairs or facilities for heating food for a young baby resident. From the reviews we had read we were surprised to find the hosts were so inflexible. We have used Booking.com a number of times before, and have never felt the need to give negative comments, but our experience this time did upset us.
Review 48:Parking was good. The Guest House was very clean, comfortable with a beautiful view from our front room. Food was good.
Review 49:Minor points - all the milk in the room was off. Winter quilt in 27 degrees was a little 'stifling'
Review 50:Nice bathroom Super views across the bay Freshly cooked Breakfast Very nice room
Review 51:On street parking.
Review 52:Everything except the parking.
Review 53:Everything was lovely, the room, the staff, the breakfast. The view was amazing!
