Review 1：Not a bad experience but they didn't state that we needed our own beach towels so we had to go buy them which added to luggage weight and space.

Review 5：-Old hotel, needs renovation -Style of room; quite ugly and old fashioned -Two single beds even when you request a double bed -Breakfast poor variety, every day the same -Awful orange juice -Lots of rules written everywhere do not do this, that...Looks like a military camp -You have to pay for sunbeds/parasol at beach just in front of the hotel (5 eur the day) and once it is too late (06.00 pm) they don't accept that you enjoy the beach and their precious sunbeds...The guy showed my his clock...Come on we are on holidays!! -Wifi you have only access at the pool and restaurant but not good connexion -Pictures of the hotel are much more prettier than reality -Spray of the shower very weak and it is intentional ( so the hotel saves money) -No cleaning of the room on Sundays...Never seen that before.... -Old shower, new doors but not the rest...

Review 7：The bed was two single beds put together and these moved away from each other during the night. The cost for WiFi in your room at €6 a day was a bit excessive and felt that the key for the safe box in the room should have been included and not an added extra. Breakfast wasn't great either but not inedible. More variety and hot food would be welcome.
Review 8：The pool area was great and the food at the hotel snack bar was one of the best food we had in Patanias. Food standards around the area weren't great. Room was modern fresh and clean as a whistle. Easy access to the beach and perfect if you're looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.
Review 9：The staff were very rude, fighting with us when we wanted fresh towels after three days, you had to pay for everything including beach chairs and a safe in your room. We had to make our own beds and linen was just out at the end of the bed and for the amount you pay this shouldn't happen they close the pool and beach at 8pm while the sun is still up and don't let anyone out through the gates if I could sum it up it felt a lot like school camp and I probably would not return

Review 29：we loved the beachside pool, and surrounding area. Studio was comfortable especially beds, with plenty of clean towels etc. All of the staff were excellent. So despite our comments about kitchen we would come back and hope for improvements.
Review 30：Everything was great about our stay at this hotel. The room was big and clean, the view was breathtaking, the food was amazing (especially that the owner made his own goat cheese). The cook was from Romania and did a great job with our food. The poolside was very well set up and maintained. We will definitely be back!!
Review 31：We booked our stay (9 nights) in February. When we arrived 8/7 wewere informed the hotel was overbooked. The Manager had instead bookedus for two nights at a hotel further away from the beach. This hotelhappened to be owned by a relative to the Marinos manager... Price forthis hotel was less than half of Marinos, but the"compensation" we were offered was ridiculous. Instead ofgetting a serious compensation we were punished in two ways, first byhaving to pay double room rate at the cheaper hotel, 2nd we had twonights of bad sleep since it was located close to a very noisy bar.Marinos manager was very aggressive when I argued that he should give ussome kind of acceptable compensation. I heard more people ended up inthis situation, and you don't need to be Einstein to realize thatthis is a smart way for them make some extra money by making people stayat a cheap hotel and pay double price. Someone needs to stop this guyfrom keep on doing this!Breakfast was very basic and simple. Internet was more or less useless, including the new installation that was supposed to give coverage in the rooms. Kitchen lacked a lot of basic kitchen-ware.

Review 34：Very friendly, helpful and courteous staff. The location, perfect for us. An 8 euro taxi ride to Rethymnon. Plenty of good Taverna's and shops within easy walking distance. The layout of the hotel is excellent with the superb pool, beach and sunbathing area all within a few hundred metres. The most peaceful and quiet (not graveyard quiet but calm) place. We had an excellent holiday here.

Review 41：The hotel staff was VERY unorganized. They ended up messing up my reservations and the reservations of the other couple we were traveling with. We ended up having to OVER PAY and pay for TWO rooms, when we only reserved one! It was the hotels mistake and WE had to PAY. VERY unprofessional! Also, the pictures online were NOT what the place actually looked like. We had MOLD and dirt everywhere in our room, NEVER got our sheets changed and NEVER got new towels. We were staying in a room for 4 adults and they provided 2 towels the entire time (for 4 nights) even though we requested more. Who ever took the pictures of the place definitely used Photoshop! Would NOT recommend this place EVER! Not worth the money, because they will scam you and make you pay more!

We were then told that this had been an old menu, we were given a newer menu as a "proof" that the orange juice was supposedly 3.50 EUR.The second menu however said 3.30 EUR!!

Review 68：The apartment was exactly what we needed, basic and spacious. The location was perfect and the hotel had a range of guests of all ages and nationalities. The staff were friendly, could speak a range of languages, and worked hard to make sure everything was okay for us. We would recommend staying here to others for a relaxing holiday by the sea, with the convenience of a pool and buffet breakfast. The hotel has it's own restaurant and there are plenty of others within walking distance (we highly recommend Yannis taverna).

Review 86：Everything looked of very poor quality as if the hotel is saving for everything and not worth 4 stars. All you could find in the bathroom was a piece of soap and cheapest toilet paper.. Even though renovated not that long ago, the bathroom looked very badly looked after. There was also a bad smell in the corridors just after cleaning. The breakfast was ok, but all the food was directly hidden as soon as the eating time finished. As well later in the bar I got my fresh orange juice in a paper Coca-cola cup which I didn't like at all. WiFi had to work only in the pool area and even there we couldn't connect anyway. It could be a nice place if it got more attention from the owners or if the price was lower. For now I think the value for money is poor.
Review 87：The man at reception was really friendly and helpful - he offered some nice dining places in Rethymno and let us check out a bit later than 12. The location is good - 2-3 km from Rethymno, there are many bars around, sea just in front of the hotel. There is a nice pool surounded by the green area in the yard. The room was spacious with a big balcony. There was a kitchenette for cooking. In the middle of the hotel building there is a big amazing garden that you can see as you leave your room.
Review 88：The bathroom was not so clean the first day but the second day the cleaning lady cleaned it more carefully although we didn't complain about it. I wouldn't recomend the restaurant, I think it's good only for breakfast or as a cafeteria-bar. The food quality was very poor. We had to pay to use the sun umbrellas and beds on the beach although we were hotel customers and we knew that the umbrellas belong to the hotel (it was written on the receipt).
