Reviews for Maison Hôtel des 5 Silences
Review 1:Helpful owner mr Schuuutt is really helpful while I am too early to check in, he allows to enter the room. Quiet place and easy to find restaurants and transportation. I will stay here again when I am in Paris
Review 2:My room was up four flights of stairs and there were quite a few people staying in the hotel who looked a bit 'scary', even though I'm sure they weren't! Also St Denis has a very high ethnic population but to equate that with being 'unsafe' is to fall into a trap.
Review 3:This is a very idiosyncratic place to stay and not somewhere to bring your partner to for a romantic stay in Paris! For a male solo traveller though it was absolutely fine. It was very quiet and the hard bed was very comfortable so I had a good night's sleep every night. The owner managers were also absolutely charming and helpful although be warned it may take you a long time to check in (just be patient!) Travel into Paris was very easy: just walk 5 minutes to St Denis Station and take RER line D into the centre, or the main SNCF train to Gare du Nord.
Review 4:There were only stairs to the upper floors, and they were a bit to harsh to visitors (but not to light-backpackers like me)
Review 5:The price is ideal! All the staff I met there were nice. The old man brought me to my room and introduced all its facilities to me, in detail. My room was on the third floor and it was really a silent place. Peaceful and comfortable. Just few minutes to Saint-Denis Metro - a station that one can travel to both Paris central and CDG airport shortly.
Review 6:It will be better if they can provide cleaner quilt and pillow :)
Review 7:Reasonable Price. And the location is good for tourists arrive Saint-Denis RER Station. It is also close to the main shop street. Their room provide self-catering equipment like microwave machine.
Review 8:I recommend booking the room, but not if I'm going to Paris on the same dates, otherwise the hotel may be fully booked. ha ha.
Review 9:It's walking distance from the D-line metro Saint Denis stop, the man was very very friendly, and it's unbeatable for the price. I usually don't leave reviews but I think this might have been my best Booking.com experience, considering how expensive rooms are in Paris.
Review 10:I would like to join Anatoly from US and to confirm that the owner of the hotel very educated and interesting conversation men. He knows everything about Paris and can be very helpful whatever you need. Really excellent service. Big Thank's to Vincent, he is a best staff of the hotel I ever met. I think that a team in this hotel is just perfect. Even if St Denis is not a central of Paris. This guys will make you feel even better than this. Thank's to all of them. Will be back for sure... Oksana
Review 11:They could display more things in the hotel to make tourists situated about Paris.
Review 12:The hotel certainly isn't the prettiest viewed from outside but the other factors worth a stay in there. The owner is really friendly, with a good English always tried to help making my staying even better, e.g. fixing certain things in the room at the same time and giving piece of advice about Paris.
Review 13:Wi-Fi could be improved.
Review 14:Hotel owner is great guy. He speaks good English, continuously helped me and showed uncommon desire to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Really great service - above and beyond! Room is average for a Paris / Saint Denis and judged accordingly. Close to Paris and famous Saint Denis cathedral, Airport and public transport.
Review 15:If you are planning sightseeing in Paris, the hotel might be situated a bit too far to go in foot, but on public transport iot wil take you 20-25 min.
Review 16:I came to Paris to see the concert. The staff were very helpful and the owner (I don't remember his name, my bad) gave me a lift to the stdium where the event took place. Besides, everything was easy and clean. The price is very low in comparison to what you can find in Paris.
Review 17:location isn't great, room was tiny and not particularly comfortable.
Review 18:Friendly staff, affordable.
Review 19:Very accesible; RER station is very close, 300 meters. Bus station is at just 50 meters. Tramway station is at 150 meters.
Review 20:Fleas in the duvet, toilet shared by 3 flats, outside was overflowing rubbish bins.
Review 21:Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 22:It took me a very long time to find it. The entrance is a tiny one tucked behind a restaurant awning and the place is not in Paris. It is in St. Denis, about a ten minute walk then twenty minute train ride away
Review 23:The man spoke English, which made checking in much easier. The place was relatively clean, the bed was comfy and warm and I felt safe. The water was very hot.
