Reviews for Railway House
Review 1:Lighting is a little poor, especially in the bathroom (perhaps the fluorescent bulbs are past their best?). Also in the bathroom the shower cubicle was a little tired, the doors didn't shut properly and the shower head wouldn't stay in position. However, at the price, some level of compromise has to be expected.
Review 2:Railway House is well equipped, and gives us plenty of space; we can eat what we want when we want it, and do our laundry too! Morrison's and McDonalds are just over the tracks and there are some good pubs (like the Half Moon, try their porter!) and restaurants (the Anatolia is good) within fifteen minutes walk on the road into town.
Review 3:mould in the bathroom which was easily removed by myself using a good household cleaner. slats were abe to be felt under sofa cushions so sofa was a bir uncomfy carpets need a good shampoo and vacuum-kids/my feet were black with dirt after only an hour or so.
Review 4:Beds were comfy, good amenities, easy to find, close to supermarket and main roads
Review 5:WIFI was very slow and lost connection. Bathroom looking a bit tired and in need of a good clean (mildew, etc)
Review 6:Comfortable beds easy parking Lots of space Good value and good communication from owner
Review 7:One set of keys for two rooms a little inconveinent. Also a little pricey for the area.
Review 8:Comfortable apartment with good facilities in a good location.
Review 9:Frypan was very dirty - but a compromise was readily found
Review 10:The space, ease of parking, friendly owner, the price of our accommodation was reduced immediately as I bought a replacement frypan.
Review 11:Did not use their WiFi but all other things were tops could not have been more helpful
Review 12:Liked the service, decor, cleanliness, accessibility, convenience, and amenities.
Review 13:For what we needed it was in a good location
Review 14:car parking . we know there not much space so parking next to the working mens club was ok
Review 15:it was a long drive so having a few beers and a good dvd which was one of yours was great we were going to a wedding so having the space to get ready was good also the bed was better than ours
Review 16:Strong (swet) smell in the main bedroom. Shelf above sink in bathroom broken. Shelf in wardrobe main bedroom also broken. Washing machine very durty (rubber seal). Bad parking. Information about the hotel is sent a day before arrival which by mail which is too late for overseas travellers.
Review 17:Price.
Review 18:extremely hot in the good weather could do with air con as was rather uncomfortable- although we were there in hottest week so was an exception
Review 19:suitable for family and freedom to cook in mornings for breakfast/lunch. convenient to travel to Yorkshire show. secure
Review 20:We didn't have any problems
Review 21:As we were working night shift the apartment style best suited us we went to bed at normal breakfast time and got up after lunch this creates problems in a normal hotel as staff want to get into the room and mealtimes are wrong for us
Review 22:We enjoyed the freedom to come and go, with having a 9wk baby it was excellent a home from home, no worries of disturbing anyone else. When a problem did come up it was dealt with promptly
Review 23:The mattresses and bed were a little hard for us. It was located too far out of the town centre to walk.
Review 24:The area it was in was nice n quiet. Very clean and well set out. Relaxing.
Review 25:Couldn't locate the Rubbish bin outside !!
Review 26:Nice clean secure apartment, fully kitted out with all mod cons, bedsvery comfortable, nice place for weekend break to chill out.
Review 27:The carpark was a tight squeeze and could benefit with the wooden gate being widened.
Review 28:Excellent amenities. We were staying here as I was having an operation at a local hospital. It was lovely to have a 'home from home' feel. My partner was able to relax in the living room while I recuperated in the seperate bedroom. We would not have been able to do this in the confines of an hotel room.
Review 29:maybe increase the size of the gate for getting vehicles into the off street parking. Although I managed to get the car in and out, it was a bit of a struggle (I have a Volvo XC90)
Review 30:very clean and tidy, good value, the main cotact (Graeme) was very polite and helpful.
Review 31:Clean, spacious, not bad value for money.
Review 32:There is nothing we can say we disliked about the railway house
Review 33:The size of the apartment is really spacious and also comes equiped with all the mod comes you could ask for. We have stayed here three times now and each time we have still been impressed with the property you can feel safe and secure in this very comfortable apartment
Review 34:The only slight problem with the apartment itself was that the loo wastricky to flush, I think something needed fixing.
Review 35:We stayed at the Railway House as our train North had been terminated atDarlington because of flooding and a landslip on the line. Despite theextremely short notice, the owner, who was himself stuck in a floodedcar, could not have been more helpful, and gave us the access codes overthe phone. The apartment was immaculately clean, nicely furnished, andvery good value for money. The well equipped kitchen even included themakings of tea and coffee, and breakfast cereals. There was a nearbysupermarket, open till 9.
Review 36:The room looked as though it had not been cleaned properly. The cutlery drawer had to be washed out due to oily deposites therein and ants were present in the storage cupboards. The inventory of cutlery, plates and glasses was incomplete. It was partially replenished the day after arrival.
Review 37:The convenient location.
Review 38:Although the location was good for us it was quite difficult to find.
Review 39:The apartment was well presented and clean, facilities were excellent.Instructions for keys were clear and concise.
Review 40:Out of date milk, poor shower, late check in, early check out.
Review 41:Modern, clean, ease of access.
Review 42:Bathroom facilities and kitchen facilities.
Review 43:Very convenient. Good value for money. Clean warm.
Review 44:Good clean modern apartment. Clear communication regarding how to enter etc.
Review 45:facilities aloud me independance compared with a hotel
Review 46:Comfort, clean worth the money and good location. Thanks to the ownersfor providing such a perfect appartment.
